Preview Thread: TNESII - Et In Arcadia Ego

I'm looking for a slightly more experienced player. It's nothing personal. :undecide:

No problem, I thought I was experienced enough after ruling a similar France in another NES successfully. (Though this France does not have Italy nor Portugal, so I will suffer some land loss, but nothing I can't rebound from.) Nonetheless I am still in this and hoping I will be granted it.

Diplomacy:

This charts your current diplomatic standing with foreign powers. Non-listed nations have neutral diplomatic relations, or they don’t exist. Relations scale from -200 (state of war) to +200 (complete amity and friendship). A vast array of random events and player actions can alter these numbers.
This is a terrible idea.

I would like to officially make apparent my interest in running the Siamese Empire by becoming an applicant.

I like the diplomatic numbers, if they represent "general populace" or "important NPC factions" relationships with other countries.

So let's say they're 2-5 for each country, in which they would have to represent relations to 20 other countries, and perhaps the disparate factions within the opposing countries... it's just impractical and insane. Common sense should prevail.

It's not like these things are going to be updated every turn.

But they have to be to be useful, or they would be expressing a general idea that common sense would dictate anyway.
Common sense from a diplomatic history oh yes but you lose points for not expressing your support for diplomatic history over numerical values because common sense alone cannot dictate anything in this context.

So it should be dictated by... arbitrary numbers? :p
I already agreed when I said "oh yes," so let my play psychoanalyst and say that you replied just because you feel the need to rub your scrotum against a defeated foe to assert your argumentative masculinity-superiority in an admittedly homoerotic way.

What am I repressing when I act this way? :(

Here is Golden Horde background based on the information I have. Yeah I know it makes them seem like they completely suck (which they might, but I don't really care) but still, if you could tag on a nice "Nonetheless they have ____ going for them" with something positive I don't know about them, It would make me super happy. :)

The Golden Horde, only recently reunited after yet another period of fragmentation, is a mostly traditional and agrarian society suffering from large amounts of tribalism and political corruption. industrialization, though partially successful in the western part of the country, is significantly behind Europe and while the country does have a nominal vassal in the Uighar Khanate, control remains loose at best as political and economic stability within the Horde itself quite weak.
