Hey, that's what the weather thread is for!
I got stuck in the snow in the country this weekend. And nearly killed my mom.
We went to the country house to check how it made it through the winter, and it appeared that no-one drove in out street since autumn, and no-one cleared the snow from it. So, although the winter was not very snowy and the temperature was positive for a few weeks before, quite some snow (maybe 20cm thick on average) remained in the street to make is questionably possible to drive up to the house.
I thought that where there is a question, there should be an answer. So I decided to try and find out if it was possible or not after all. It appeared to be barely possible as I made it half the way, like 15 or 20 meters, but as it made no sense to keep ramming the snow piles I left the car right there.
Later that day, as we were done with our inspection and decided to return to the city, I started reversing back out of the street. I nearly made it out when my mom who went ahead decided it was the perfect moment to cross the street (which makes it rant) to get a better look, making me hit the brakes which belly-landed the car in the snow.
Next half an hour I was having fun with a shovel, a screw jack and some planks.
*sigh* I guess old ladies and off-road fun just don't mix up well.
