Strictly speaking, they were in contact one book earlier, in Goblet of Fire. Of course nobody among the adults believed the kids except for Sirius, and he spent that book living in a cave.
In this day and age how are fake tickets for an event that cost hundreds of pounds (?) a problem?

For Glastonbury, which costs ~£200 (the Champions League final cannot be less than that can it?) the tickets have a hologram and a photo of the individual, and they have eliminated fake tickets and touts. What is the problem that a much bigger organisation like UEFA cannot fix the problem?

I don't see how that would prevent anything. You could still make a fake ticket with a photo of the person and a shoddy hologram attempt or whatever, which still would not work. And you'd still have a ton of people at the gates with fake tickets.
As I understand it, to make any hologram you need some really expensive kit. So it will not completely prevent it, but it massively increases the bar to entry. The photo is more about stopping touts that fakes.
Not saying a real hologram, but rather some shiny image, just to pretend a minimum.
Whatever the case is, as long as the person buying it believes it's real (and who would buy a ticket if they believe it's fake?), you'll end up with people at the gates who'll be causing issues.

That is the point. A shiny image is easily distinguished by eye from a hologram, so as long as the buyer has a look at it they SHOULD be able to identify it as a fake.
Well, yes, but during The Goblet of Fire nobody officially knew that Sirius Black was in touch with them.
It is possible that FIFA officials making extra on the side by selling the fake tickets themselves (as was proven in, say, the last two World Cups, when people were jailed for it) might also mean their turning a blind eye to UEFA officials doing the same.

If you want to be official about it, nobody ever did since Sirius Black received a posthumous exoneration. He was never officially innocent while he was still alive (there are fanfic stories in which Sirius is rightfully angry that Dumbledore did nothing to get him out of Azkaban or even get him a trial).
Wasn't it at the end of Goblet of Fire that Dumbledore asked Sirius to start gathering the old Order of the Phoenix together, or was that a flashback at the start of OOtP?

amazing things never ceasing . Some so called "lover" of mine supposedly in town . A lot of laughter , with the inevitable 15 years old who wants my backside kicked to teach me manners . He has yet found no time why those 17 years olds volunteering to do me in when ı was 35 are most unwilling and fervently looking for 17 year olds when they have themselves become 35 . Everything ı say should have been stupid , down to the reference that there is a minor but voluble segment of internet persons who claim some guy in the big city nearby was executed by the Police after he had raised his hands . A key member in local meth traffic in addition to selling women , if you are to believe the web , learns he will go to jail , makes the regular show , pulls out his gun , takes his girlfriend hostage , his pal comes up to "reason" with him , knowing very well that cellphones are out filming them . The moral being there might be times when people will decide they will get higher profits by not letting you people have your "show" ... Or you might even think New Turkey is sinking faster than you would think .

So , even if Americans would or would not bring Hollywood personalities , they would still capture women . Some apparently famous one , even if ı have only heard (even) a name is currently a most dangerous one . People could not decide whether it was my nonexistant Russian mistress or her who is currently fighting . You know , Eastern Ukraine these days . Even more incredibly she is reported as winning the entire war . Which naturally means she is no longer a relative ! Because she would improve my status !

Okay, this is a bit confusing. She was in the early scenes of Order of the Phoenix.
Admittedly I've seen each of the movies 3-4 times, and only read the novels once.
I've actually read several novel-length HP fanfic stories more than once.
Some day, probably. Right now I've got two different Highlander novels on the go, and two new Ben Bova novels waiting for me (should really retrieve them from my mailbox; I got the delivery notification a week ago). There's a loooong Harry Potter fanfic that updates Tuesdays and Saturdays, so there will be a new chapter today (imagine if Hermione was sorted into Slytherin and Snape is her mentor... and her dad is a D&D enthusiast who thinks her adventures at Hogwarts are similar to dungeon-crawling, giving her a 50-foot length of rope and some other handy stuff so she could explore the castle). There's a companion short story in which Dr. Granger invites Hermione and her coven (that includes Harry, Neville, Luna, and Susan Bones - niece of Amelia Bones) over to play D&D. It's cute.
My itinenary for tomorrow: Metro, bus, flight, train, metro, metro, train, bus, bus, train, bus, ferry across the river styx.
In between a job interview and drinks with my ex.
