I got woken up this morning by a scam caller with an Indian accent telling me his name was James Cooper (yeah, right ) and that I had won a prize in a draw sponsored by an ambulance service (that airlifts people between cities or rural areas to cities). I asked why I was called; how did I win this since I hadn't entered any contests? The answer was because I always paid my phone bill on time (!).
Yeah, this sure sounds legit...
When I told him that I never heard of this outfit running phone lotteries for people who hadn't entered, he hung up.
