C&C 4 and EA already disrespected Kane way more than that bowtie ever could.
For what it's worth, I always saw myself is more of an Anton Slavik rather than Kane himself.

And it turned out they were actually kinda the good guys the whole time. Kane was trying to adapt humanity to Tiberium and prepare for the inevitable Scrin invasion.
The Nod geopolitics were also interesting. If I remember right, they were highly represented in the Global South and the have-nots while the GDI was the defense of the status-quo

I am probably going to surprise some people here, given that I'm not shy about expressing my lack of enthusiasm for religion and its various rituals...I was almost made late to work because I got stuck behind a funeral procession. As I am slowly creeping along I started thinking about how selfish it is for a family to disrupt society just because someone they care about died.
Just set an appointed time for the funeral and have everyone make their own way to it. You know, like how just about every other family event is handled.
