Random Rants IX: I'm Mad As Hell, And I'm Not Gonna Take It Anymore!

Well now you get to go to college, or uni or whatever it is you call it. (Don't you?) That has it's own wonderful things about it.

I like school too but honestly I can't wait to go to college.

Yeah. That's a phrase picked up from your ghastly 'American English.' :p The correct name for a college (i.e advanced education from 16-18 is sixth form but we call it college cos you do.)

Are you going to collage/sixth form or are you getting a job/apprenticeship?

I am going to go to sixth form, with the intention of going to uni after. People seem to think I have to move away to go to university, but if I get one relatively nearby I won't have to move, right? I couldn't think of anything worse, to be honest. :ack:

From my experience, it's probably better to do Collage. All my old friends from school went to Collage and they say its brilliant, whilst most of the sixth formers hated sixth form. I ended up dropping out, and not just because of the little kids being jerks. It was extremely bad for me. I don't think it will be as bad for you though, and I suppose other sixth forms are probably different.

We call all forms of higher education, including Universities, college. If you said the word 'uni' around here you'd probably get your ass kicked. Of course, our high school goes all the way to the point where most people are 17-18.

I can't wait to move away! Take me away!

It sound like we all have one thing in common, that the fifth and sixth year of high school is optional. Do you refer to it as college?

Nah see, most high schools here are four years, from the time you're 13-14 to 17-18. Anything more than that is called going to college, even if in fact you are attending a university. It's all the same. Anything less than that is called being a dropout.

I can;t figure what kinda of graphics card i need for Civ 4 BTS...:mad:

The rainy weather here sucks too.

I'll add another to the list of crappy fall weather complaints. Been raining all day and it's only been a couple degrees above freezing. At least all the sleet and wintry crap's elsewhere and not here though :D

I'm getting tired of having Arabic tests every other week. I have other things to do in my life than study Arabic grammar and memorize a new two dozen words in ten days...you know, like write papers for my other four classes, eat, sleep, and earn money so I don't get kicked out of my apartment.

ask yourself what would comrade stalin do? also the arabic will help you in being a part of my empire.

What this guy said, except without the money part.

We don't have school on Veteran's Day, but we DID have school today.
