We used Alif Baa for learning the alphabet, but the texts we have now are Ahlan wa Sahlan and Easy Arabic Grammar. It's amusing, because our current professor transferred in a month after the class started and absolutely hates Ahlan wa Sahlan, but he has to use it anyway because we already got it. (The month delay was because it took a long time for him as a Palestinian dude to get a visa, I think.)

Al-Kitaab is the counterpart to Alif Baa. It basically assumes that you memorized all of Alif Baa. It's nice in many ways; I'm mostly annoyed by the way the professor teaches the class. I just can't learn a language as quickly as she expects us to.

I'M SO FREAKING MAD RIGHT NOW I COULD JUST DEFECATE ALL OVER MYSELF.
I HAVE BEEN INSANELY BUSY WITH SCHOOL AND WORK FOR LIKE THE LAST 2 WEEKS. I HAVE HAD NO LEISURE TIME. THE SMALL INTERVALS OF LEISURE TIME I HAVE HAD BETWEEN STUDYING AND READING AND HOMEWORK-DOING HAVE BEEN SPENT MAKING STUPID POSTS ON THIS FORUM.
SO TONIGHT I DECIDED, SINCE I DON'T HAVE SCHOOL TOMORROW FOR VETS DAY, TO JUST TAKE THE NIGHT OFF FROM HOMEWORK EVEN THOUGH I STILL HAVE A TON OF STUFF TO DO, SO THAT I DONT EXPLODE FROM MENTAL EXHAUSTION.
I COULD HAVE PLAYED A VIDEO GAME, OR I COULD HAVE GONE TO HANG OUT WITH MAH PEPS. BUT INSTEAD, I DECIDED TO RENT AND WATCH A MOVIE. I WAS VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS. I WENT TO THE MOVIE STORE AND GOT THE MOVIE, I WENT TO THE SUPERMARKET AND GOT SOME POPCORN AND GATORADE AND SOME THROAT-SOOTHING TEA. I GOT HOME, NOTICED I WAS GETTING A BIT TIRED SO I CHUGGED AN ENERGY DRINK SO I'D STAY AWAKE FOR THE CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE I WAS ABOUT TO ENJOY. WE AINT GOT NO DVD PLAYER, SO I HOOKED UP MY LAPTOP TO DISPLAY ON THE TV. I GET ALL MY FOODS READY AND GET A BLANKET ON THE COUCH.
AT THAT POINT IM SO EXCITED THAT I'M PRACTICALLY PISSING MYSELF. I PUT THE MOVIE IN THE DISC DRIVE AND IT WONT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS ALL SKIPPY!!!!!!!!!!! I TRIED CLEANING IT AND WHANTOT AND IT JUST WONT WORK!!!!!!!!!!! GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel bad now because this isn't nearly so legit a complaint as Fifty, whose life really sucks right now, but I'm kinda annoyed that Xander Crews is on an entirely different planet now. I thought he was the best part about Frisky Dingo, friggin' hilarious, and while The Xtacles is still pretty funny it's really not the same.

well.... since the neighbors tore all theirs down, our backyard is kind of open... I don't think I could do it without all the neighbors knowing what I was doing
but I use that thing too.... otherwise I would've....
