Random Rants LIII: F My Life

Sounds like fun ^^.

I'm just frustrated that I'm being turned down, both in applying in other jobs as well as applying internally. Plus there's a cloud of uncertainty of potential layoffs within my department that does not help. I don't know, I may have to include local government jobs within the towns in my area.

Not sure if that helps: It's the same for nearly everyone.
It's not so that it's fun for anyone.

Rant on my own:
- my bikes back tyre broke (not even the tube, just the tyre) :gripe:. That's another 50€ :gripe:
- looked up that Turkish girl from my language course on Skype (we talked a bit while on the way back...her bike got stolen, so we both walked...thought I could extend that), and her profile image shows her with a guy :/

Found that Hungarian girl though, but no good idea for a reason to add her on Skype :/. She has not been this time at class, but we don't have any homework, so that doesn't work :/. And no need to tell her, half of her department is in the same course :/. teasing her might work, let's see.

Rant: Turns out drinking an entire glass of coffee in the morning was a terrible idea. I've been jittery as hell all day and my stomach has been killing me, I feel horribly sick.

But I mean at least I was awake for class, right?

Spoiler :
NEVER AGAIN

EDIT: How I feel:

Are you not a regular coffee drinker? Some days I do three or four and that gives me the jitters, but one or two is fine.

Not at all, I only ever have a cup when I didn't get any sleep and need something to wake me up, like today.

Didn't feel so well for a bit today. Why does Einstein Bagels have to make its food in such huge servings--and why can't I stop eating them? I'ma stick to simple lunchmeat sandwiches from now on.

Heh, I remember grabbing Einstein bagels at the GT student center. I had to ask them for half the cream cheese they normally put on bagels, it was too much for me.

@Antilogic: no such thing as too much cream cheese.

Of course it was. Coffee is drunk in very small doses, brewed in Middle Eastern style.

What do you mean by 'lunchmeat'? Is it a special type of meat?

Evidently customers like you brought them to tearfully leave the GT student center (actually I don't know why they left, but left like fall 2011 or something)

it got replaced by a subway

Cold cuts. Pre-cooked meat usually served in slices and put in sandwiches, like bologna, salami, roast beef, ham, pepperoni, Braunschweiger, Thüringer Rostbratwurst, etc.

I realize this now.

Its basically cold cuts, designed for sandwiches. Maybe its an American term?

EDIT: beaten to the punch

Anti-depressant side effects. Nausea. Light sensitivity. More nausea. Also, that emotional flatness.

Granted, the really severe nausea only comes when I miss a dose (and forgetful TK misses a dose occasionally, though he's got a little better at reminding himself), but still, not pleasant. Especially when I'm on an elevated dose.

Baka gai-jin, do not treat me-u so insurtingry!

I came in to post my first rave in six months. Only to find the raves thread is collecting dust on page two.

Seriously?! :aargh:

It's a rant because it was enough of a buzzkill/killjoy to make lose interest in posting it. It was a trivial rave anyway. :undecide:

What was it?

He probably has a new plan to take over the world.

Legitimising rant: I opened around thirty tabs in a few minutes.

Lol, no....
What was it?
But it was civ-related. :mischief:

Basically, a game of Civ II Test of Time was getting stale, even with 4 maps depicting three planets (one of them extrasolar) and a dwarf planet, especially since I hogged all the extra tech and unit slots for myself and being on top forever while the other civs fought got boring, I cheated and and switched to a different civ to play as, and had the Japanese sneak attack the Germans with an ICBM and immediately switched back to my custom civ, and within moments, nukes were flying on all four maps, and the rave part was just as the first few nukes blew, my playlist started playing "Lose Control" by Evanescance, and I found it quite amusing; especially since I used that same song when I made a nuclear war music video remix a few years ago.

Is it just me who resent on windows 8? I really hate it and I don't understand how its operate and my university used it instead of windows 7. It is really confusing for me.
