It is usually what most of them do.

It makes you less prone to feel emotions, negative as well as positive. Now if your emotions are overwhelmingly negative then it can be a net positive. Side effects still suck though.

Is it just me who resent on windows 8? I really hate it and I don't understand how its operate and my university used it instead of windows 7. It is really confusing for me.

In 2011, I got a laptop with Windows 7... and I hated it. I partitioned the HDD, made an Ubuntu Partition and have had zero problems since Ubuntu 12.04 "Precise Pangolin."

Since I can access the Windows partition HDD space from Ubuntu, I just use it to store over 80gb worth of music.

Just saying.

Nice idea, but I don't think I will get the permission from the university to partition their hardisk to use 2 operating system. It really confuse me how can I access the program, how can I access "dos" or "cmd" from window 8, where is the old "start program" and all that stuff. And the appearance is not making it more easier to access but rather complicated and dull, there seem to be nothing new in it except just different configuration and replacement.

And I wish I familiar with Linux, because really I hate windows, it make me feel like I don't own my computer, it is they the one who own and administrate my computer, their administration system and stuff is lots of flaw, I can't even paste my new downloaded doccument to drive C:/ windows told me I don't get permission, who own the computer btw? I do can fix it and I do fix it once in my pc (to make my Oblivion mods work without Windows interference), but I forgot how to do it, and too lazy to search it.

Have you tried some anti-anxiety meds? IME they act like getting drunk to me which for me means I don't stress about things and I'm generally helluva more relaxed without feeling so blunted as you would normally.

Fortunately, you're not alone. :) It hate it with a fiery, thermonuclear passion burning hotter than the center of our sun. Mainly for it's crappy backwards compatibility; most of my favorite games can't play on it, even after upgrading to 8.1, which I did a week ago.

I am not insane then  I thought it is a kind like "a new cool thing" that happen in the neighbourhood

 why you install it to your personal computer/laptop, that is the thing that I will never do, wasting money for something like Window 8, I hope it will fail like Vista so I don't need to upgrade my window 7 to 8 because of window 8 becoming part of the "contemporary game" requirement. Window are very patronizing, and in Window 8 they don't change their attitude instead they becoming more crazier than ever.

My computer was gifted to me by someone; and it was already the gold standard by then for almost all new computers, especially laptops, to be built with windows 8 by default, so I really had no choice, especially since they didn't give it to me until after the 15-day return/exchange policy at pos walmart had expired. :(

Could be worse! I'm facing the migration from Windows XP to elsewhere!

Credit reporting agency apparently has my date of birth wrong. That can only mean good things, right?

Good luck with that SS-18 ICBM. Maybe you'll have more luck than I did with the credit card I received with the wrong name. It turned out it is far, faaaaaaaar easier to open a new credit card than to change the name on an existing card you own to the correct name. That itself is kind of scary and I wound up just cancelling the card entirely as that too was easier than changing the name.

It's surprising and frustrating to see so many really intelligent people misuse apostrophes. Argh.

And I've absolutely had it with snobbish music and movie critics who insist that their opinions and tastes are more correct than others'. As if tastes are in any way objective. Why can't they just respect others' opinions?

I feel like if I spelled out acronyms in this paper I'd be done by now

(of course in reality, I wouldn't be anywhere close)

edit- wow, no rants for the whole day?

I'm really losing my focus with this paper. I'm up to 18 pages (will be just shy of 20-22 once I bother to finish up writing some sections of my notes), and then can crank out another like 3-4. I guess that knocks out 24-26, but it's "supposed" to be ~30.

The night is young, but I'm already pretty darn tired.

AAARRRGGHHH! PRINTER! I H4te YOUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!

On Tuesday, a job I applied for sent me an email saying something along the lines of "Thanks for applying, we had too many applications and good candidates, we can't interview you," then sent me literally the exact same email today.

Thanks, I really needed to be reminded of that.

Sounds like a typical day for me :p.
