I have had unusually bad luck with dairy products lately. In the past two or three weeks I have had two gallons of milk, some coffee creamer, and a carton of half-and-half go bad well before their expiration date. I have had my refrigerator checked and there are no problems; the seal is good and everything else is in good working order, so I have no idea why my dairy products keep going bad long before they should.

I still think it's really just a few really detestable people ruining the forum experience for the rest of us. Of course, this is nothing new; we've always had "problem posters", and I've outlasted a few batches of those, but even the most tolerant people have limits, and I think I've finally reached mine.\\

Tomorrow is a pretty big exam that determines whether I spend the next two months finishing my thesis or studying to retake it. I'm not nervous because I'm so tired but I am not optimistic about my chances.

This was capped by the power going out in my apartment as I was walking out the door, sure glad it happened after my alarms went off or I would have been late today. I talked to the building people so hopefully it will be restored by the time I get back.

If you get a string of it happening, scrub the fridge out nice and thorough. It sometimes helps.

It may be accurate, though. And more a reflection on the character of the poster whose "sanity" is being corroded, than on the persons who've provoked the remark.

Some people's sanity is very fragile.

I'm just saying there may be no arrogance involved. Who knows?

There's a lot more than mere disagreement involved. There are some people who simply can't ever discuss things civily here, on both sides of the political spectrum. If a poster injects violent fantasies into his posts, am I being "arrogant and rude" for refusing to put up with it and putting him on ignore?

No it's not. There is such people even when you dwell solely on the serial threads and a couple subforums with a small number of regulars.
