Rant: I tried to make mashed potatoes. I think I used too much milk because it's kind of....slop.

I am an excellent cook. :smug:
 
My question is: Is that Chastity Bono as the kid in the video?

Hadn't thought about it beyond a vague uncertainty about why a kid was singing backup...but yeah that would make a whole lot of sense.

This reminds me of Catch-22's Dunbar statement as he's sitting, dripping wet in Colonel Cathcart's outer office after crashing his bomber into the sea once again. "I'm an excellent pilot." :smug:

BTW: Whenever I'd make soupy mash potatoes, I'd stir in some instant mash potato flakes. :yeah:

My first wife made mashed potatoes our first Christmas and when she spooned them onto the plate they spread until they hit the slope all the way around. They looked great in the pot.
 
Mashed potatoes is ok but pretty much anything else you do with a potato is better.

I'm guessing here that you need better instruction in the art of making mashed potatoes. The right amount of butter and the right combination of spices and mashed potatoes are a silky explosion of flavors sliding across the palate.

Take your soupy mashed potatoes and fry spoonfuls like pancakes until they are brown and a bit crispy.
 
Yeah, I was thinking of those at first, but after what aimee did to her waffles now I'm not sure.
