I'm angry. I read some Schopenhauer and I'm appalled that he is not mentioned in the Onion's article.

Also, Plato lived in candyland, among gummy bears and gingerbread men, all living together under the shiny rainbow of love.

VRWC's spirits have been boosted!

Oh noes, the boycott isn't over! Is this full-on VR crisis mode?

Indeed, the boycott is not over. I have, as of this post, another 3 months, 26 days, and 6 hours to go. BUT I AM NOT IN CRISIS MODE. In fact, I don't need the McRib, so there. Yeah, that's right. I am just FINE eating my chili that I eat all the friggin' time instead of a McRib. Who needs a McRib? I don't, that's for sure.

What Boycott?

It's a one-man boycott.

I really like your new avatar, PE.

Actually, when the Rolleyes smily is frozen in that expression, he kind of looks less annoyed/sarcastic and more "Chill, bro"

Boycotts don't work.

Au contraire! The 1971 Heublein Boycott got grape growers to the bargaining table in the US and it was what out UFW on the Map as an International union of AFL-CIO!

Boycotts best by Bolsheviks, buddy!

Yes, but V's another kind of Red. The Forman type.

Damn it! I couldn't get to Pat Rothfuss' Q&A and signing today. I'll try tomorrow at the signing. There are like 350 people in the room and there were at least like 100 or 150 outside in the queue.

Rant: There is a serious lack of interesting courses for me to take next semester, particularly those that may help me fulfill my requirements for a major in non-Polish history.

There's no such thing as non-polish history. All history is polish history. To the extent that it's normally just called history.

I got sort of a related problem for next quarter - there are a lot of interesting courses for my history major, but I've already almost fulfilled those requirements, so I'll have to spend most of time next quarter taking classes I find boring for my other major in International Studies, mostly economics stuff.

I have the opposite problem: my course load is basically set on rails as they only offer needed aerospace courses on set schedules. So I don't have the option to not take all of my suggested courses next semester because that will put off my graduation. The problem is that there are technical electives that I really want to take like Orbital Mechanics II and Asteroid Mining but they only offer them once a year and they will offer them next semester. In other words I'll be taking 15-18 credit hours of extremely intense courses next semester and yet my last semester senior year will only have like 6 credits and I can't move classes around to even it out because of the limited offerings.
