No, no, he was a fine programmer, but when Serpentsoft was let loose on the code, the Original Sin update for the Eden-OS package completely warped the original functionality and, at that point, he just couldn't be arsed to fix it all.

I didnt eat at all today. I woke late, ate exactly 4 oreos thinking I'd have a hearty lunch and when I lifted my eyes from the computer it was 6 PM, so I decided to just wait until diner.

The other half of the rant is that all day I have been playing Kaiserreich. So much to do, so little done.

Well, there was that one time he tried to use Flood Anti-Virus to get rid of all the crap in his system, but it took like a month and a half to complete scanning and declared almost everything a virus.

He's not too great with technology these days and his son just isn't around enough to help him out.

My Dad is an idiot. No matte how many times you talk to him about things he never changes his behaviour. I mean he killed our previous dog by over feeding him and as a result he got diabetes and with our current dog he is doing the same. Our current dog is so overweight from all the food given to him that it is hard for him to walk with all the weight on him. I took our dog for a walk, one that is quite short compared to ones i have took him when he was younger and he couldn't even complete half that without a need to lie down and rest, and the pace of the walk was basically a stroll not even a slow walk. We have been telling him for over a decade for him to cut down on the food, but he always kept making excuses and kept acting all cute as if he loved the dog, The problem is that he has no self discipline and the less I talk about his financial situation the better, which is rather ironic since he has worked all his life in finance.

Ah parents. Sometimes the only thing you can do is ask, "what can I do to not repeat the pattern?"

I left my keys in my locked dorm before going out for a night of drinking and late-night food runs with friends I'll probably never see again (and some wasps were intensely interested in my food, beer, and me, forcing me to make a fool of myself taking evasive action while eating). Crashed on a friend's couch around 4 AM, woke at 7, got back into my dorm and then seriously regretted that late-night gyro. I still haven't eaten anything to refill.

I also have a lot of important things for next semester that I've been putting off.

I heard on a news program that Sandra Bland asked why she was under arrest fourteen times without getting an answer. What are the odds that we would even be hearing about this incident if she hadn't died in custody? I can't help thinking that the way she was treated during the traffic stop was just Standard Operating Procedure. I think one of the New York papers actually did some kind of investigation into arrests for "resisting arrest" late last year, and concluded what many of us presumed already, that "resisting arrest" is simply the way police officers cover their own behinds. Now we have video (and audio) evidence, I guess, so maybe there's a potential upside here.
