Random Rants VII: Why do they ALWAYS do that?!

Quit listening it. I'd guess you're listening it more or less obsessively to fill the silence like many people do (especially teens). You'll probably find it very plesant not listening music, and after a while even idea of music sounds like jumping into a cold water. After some time you'll probably learn to appreciate music in a whole new way.

Silence. I love silence. I do not have silence right now. Everyone here wants noise, and the only way to stop their "music" is to put on music myself, but I don't want music, I want silence, and I can never get any.

Photoshoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate yoooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!

How dare you crash on me in the worst possible moment? I have a way of doing my own custom unique backgrounds for various stuff, a techinque that I developed around 1 month ago, and I was creating an opening page for a website when it crashed... there's NO way to recover that background since it has a random element in it (that's BTW pretty hard to make), and there's NO way to recover the work I've done adapting the elements to fit on the background in a balanced way since the background is gone forever..... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! It was unbelievably good and I have no way to recover ANYTHING of it, it's lost, lost! It was quite possibly the thing I was most proud that I ever did as far as 2D graphics go.

And you know what's the worst part? IT CRASHED WHEN I CLICKED SAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And now the crappy thing won't even start anymore. In fact it does start, but any click makes it go unresponsive. I'll have to reinstall the &^%&^&$& now!!! :aargh:

@Eran: I hate when stuff like that happens... happened to my old TV, to get it repaired would cost about 60% of the price of a new one.

I did something stupid. I knew it was stupid and I did it anyway. Now I need to minimize the fallout. :(

So the repair shop just told me they have to repair some bracket on my ignition which is somehow going to cost me $950. The whole car only cost about 4 times that.

That's way too much.

Maybe I'm just biased because I just about never have to pay for my repairs because I know so many car dudes, but that's way too much. It'd've only cost a few hundred to repair my Saab properly (I had it MacGyvered for free), and Corollas are common enough that that should be much cheaper to fix than a Saab.

Make sure you get an itemized receipt so you can sate my curiosity and tell me what was on it! :)

In line with my other rants above: I reinstalled photoshop but of course now I lost every single setting I've had on it... now to recustomize it all.....

The good news is I am not being ripped off, the bad news is I really will have to pay that much. There is a broken bracket that will be labor intensive to fix. My girlfirend tracked down all the information while the child for whom she is a nanny was taking a nap.

They can't just replace the barrel? I'm certain there are junked 1995 Corollas available for cannibalism.

the price it cost to fix my bike was the same amount as the price it cost to buy it... but then again.... it was a pretty cheap and crappy bike, only for the idea of "get this bike so I can HAVE a bike, but it isn't permanent"
