So apparently the Scandinavian mountain range actually lacks a name, and there is now a campaign to have the public vote on one. The final seven candidates are:

The Fairytale Mountains
The Troll Mountains
The Jutul Ridge
The Midgard Mountains
The Skandes (The Andes... Skandes, get it?)
The North Ridge
The Viking Mountains



All seemingly pulled out of the publics collective national romantic asses. Lord knows we don't name enough stuff after trolls and vikings for no reason. And there is even a nice name that has been used historically, "Kjølen", meaning "The Keel", which describes their character quite well and is definitely vikingy enough for me and it's not even an option. I just hope this won't actually succeed in having any sort of usage.

But if it does, I hope the Troll Mountains wins, at least then I can pretend it's just a huge trolling of the worlds maps.
