Sore throat.
Looks like my PC is dying![]()
Do you know which components are failing? Because it's a PC if you can identify them you can just replace them.
Rant:
Extremely long day ahead for me and I have this sinking feeling that the people we've assigned to work on stuff for the satellite project haven't actually done any work.
Where are the German scientists when you need them.Rant:

Are you me?
Relax. Be confident in what you know, be comfortable with yourself. I was a late bloomer, myself, but I did things to help build my confidence
-- joined the theater, did sports (poorly at first, lost all but 2 wrestling matches), found friends who were like me, studied hard.
I didn't go to homecoming until my senior year.
FYI: in my junior year, got a wicked nosebleed at the Valentine's Dance and ruined my jacket. BUT I learned how to jitterbug!
Moods are just moods. They will pass.
I didn't start feeling better about my social skills until I was almost all the way out of high school. At which point I realized I wasn't going to be seeing these same people everyday for the rest of my life. And I really stopped caring what most of them thought. It's one of the cruel ironies of life that not giving a crap about what people think tends to make, at least some, people think better of you. But I hear ya. I'd think you were unusual or lying if you didn't feel this way at least a bunch of the time in HS.
It got way better in college. Fresh start. Totally socially acceptable to geek the hell out on life. Only hard part is remembering that while you can sit down and play games all day, you really will be happier if you do that alongside actually going to class and also making sure you hang the heck out with just the neat freaking people that exist to hang out with at college. You can always play games when you're done, the university social atmosphere is harder to replicate.
Sore throat.
Drink something carbonated, preferably with lots of sugar, I've found that helps.
Funnily enough, i happen to be drinking a can of Red Bull to vanquish my tiredness, so if it can reduce the throatal irritation too that'd be a nice little bonus.
I just tried my first Red Bull energy drink. It was a vile concoction of crap. I cannot believe people continue to buy it after trying it once. Try coffee, tea, Coke, Sprite, whatever, but for the love of God please let this product disappear from the market. Really, really ticked at the money I wasted on it.
Jolt tasted better, and that's saying something.

Yes to both.Bummer, Ajidica. Does it feel like he's wasting your time and money?
I had great luck with profs in school. And I mean luck...

What would happen if you did meet with your advisor? Sounds like you're over a barrel. Is there an alternative?Yes to both.
Prior to this, I've never actually had a bad prof. One wasn't that great because he placed his department head duties before the class, but the few times he was able to teach he was quite good. I didn't get along with my first English prof that well, but that almost entirely my fault because I didn't put much effort into the class and I had other issues that semester.
Mixing energy drinks (including Red Bull) with vodka is fairly popular here - And vodka with Red Bull is many times worse than pure Red Bull.![]()
