You forgot the Netherlands, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Sri Lanka (and New Zealand; but I'll forgive you that one because you probably just assumed that they count as part of Australia. Oh, and Canada, apart from the fact that I doubt people there actually know about it). :p
The British Empire - spreading cricket throughout the world for 150 years!

What fandoms do you write in?

Rant: I just ate a lot of mexican food. Tomorrow, I have PE first thing in the morning. Guess what's on the list... Yoga.

Fellas, wish me good luck.

I've not written fanfic in many a year. Most of my internet output is in the form of RP forums or Total War AARs. Outside of the internet I write scripts, but I've dabbled in the Doctor Who fandom occasionally.

Are you a playwright?
This is not Aimee.

This is a monster manifesting itself as Aimee.

Thats scary.
you are not scary.
Totally agree. Stop being so moody, you don't deserve to be mistreated. No one does. Cheer up already!

The girl I broke up with a few months back is sending me baiting texts and trying to play passive-aggressive mind games. So I'm ignoring her. I think our "friendship" is going to end as a result. I'm not even mad, just exasperated. I thought we were done with all this. :shake:

friendships after break-ips never last. at least to me.

Sure they do. I just had a very pleasant dinner with my ex-wife last week. We reviewed my edits and suggestions for her resume and grad school application essays, talked about our families and our current relationships, reminisced a bit about college, traded updates about our various mutual friends, and overall had quite a lovely time.

I'm friends with most of my former girlfriends, actually. This one is looking to become one of the exceptions, which is sad.

I no longer find world of warcraft engaging anymore. Are there any new MMO's out or coming out soon that will be good?

Girls want what they can't have.

Maybe in some cases. In this case, I don't even know what she wants. I suspect she wants more attention, more validation, more affirmation... but we're not dating anymore, and those are not things that I could provide to her even if I tried. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong about her wanting that. I'll probably never find out what she truly wants, cuz I'm not going to play the games she wants me to play to find out.

Okay. Did her change of attitude come just like that, out of the blue? What changed?

No, not out of the blue. It's a return to form, if anything. (This playing games thing is one reason we broke up.) I don't really know what prompted the recent texting; we haven't talked for a month or so. And that's most likely the problem, or part of it - that she doesn't feel like we're truly "friends" and wants more time, effort, and emotional involvement out of me.

I'd love to stay friends in the casual sense - email or call occasionally, hear about her family and job and friends and stuff, chat about our shared interests, etc - but I suspect she wants to be kind of friends who share everything, talk about their secret hopes and dreams, lean on each other in times of need (which is every other week for her), etc. But again, this is all guessing. She's sending me texts that are designed to make me ask her what's wrong and give her permission to express her thoughts... and I'm just not playing that game.

(I probably sound like a cold-hearted bastard, but there's a lot of history and context behind all this.)

My mom just had a temper tantrum for no reason and she began smashing up stuff and screaming at me. Lovely.
