Is 'nerd depression' just regular ol' depression that happens to be eperienced by a nerd?

Please clarify

Apparently, it's depression triggered by falling in love with a fictional setting, either yours or someone else's (such as Star Trek or Avatar), and then realizing that your life sucks because you're not in that universe or being depressed because the fictional setting isn't real in the first place and believing your life is worse off because of it.

Hmm attending the University of Minnesota would be nice I guess, but I'll probably end up going to somewhere in the EU. I don't have to pay tuition if I go to a Danish or Norwegian university

So the motor on the deep-freezer was badly damaged from the power surge & my mom decided all its worth is scrap metal. But it would cost money to haul it away. But one of the tenants in one of the landlords other buildings has a truck so my mom decided to give it to them for free just to get rid of the cursed thing. But they decided to try to see if it really was broken so they took it down to their building and plugged it in and the deep-freezer caught fire

Is this only undergrad? Is it cheap to do postgrad stuff? Might have to start looking into the Scandinavian Option.
