Random Raves XXXV: The cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems

Rave: Feeling good. Talked with my professor and I think he liked my movie project!

Also talked with another professor, had some good discussions, will make the final project for that class easier as well! Also it will be the first time I not only go into a class next semester having taken that professor before, but also knowing her as well! Fun!

Rant: Still trying to figure out job thing for summer, and if I want to do one. I might volunteer somewhere, be a teacher's aide or something. Although no money, it will be slightly lower stress and be applicable to what I want to do (teach kids in Japan English through JET). As opposed to the high stress of trying and interviewing for a paid job -- with my dubious qualifications -- and where I gain skills I could care less about.

this time next week i'll be completely done with all things cawlej related (aside from killing 2.5 weeks to graduation)

i can't believe that they're letting me graduate

i'll be so drunk

i'll be so drunk at owen's pad

Lol. I would crack up so much if you just showed up in Berkeley one day. We'll get drunk on whiskey and wander around aimlessly. Hygro will be there too somehow. It'll be perfect.

On a somewhat related note: irish coffee is great. I'll be going to sleep at around 3 AM.

Owen is moving to Berkeley :hooray:

and how do so many people know of Amoeba Records? It's pretty sweet, and so is Rasputins a block away... but I don't understand its fame.

Signed up for a language-learning pair thing at my host uni, and now it looks like I'm finally going to get to meet and speak with those elusive Germans and practice my German! Already got three partners lined up and I just registered a few days ago!

Small rave: Saw a Seinfeld episode today I hadn't seen before! Did not think there were any left.

You have to be methodical, as I was when my family gave to my grandfather the complete collection of James Bond movies (I mean, seriously, this was before or around Casino Royale and I was already a far bigger fan than anyone else in the family, why him?): watch them in order. One per week or, for TV shows, better a few each day.

You know I've though about re-watching Seinfeld, episode one to episode gazillion. But you know how it is, there always something else that needs watching.

Woo! :D

Turns out I was misdiagnosed and didn't need a root canal at all. The oral surgeon, upon initial examination of my tooth, said something to the effect of 'lolwtf you don't need a root canal'. I just had something stuck in my gum that inflamed it. Horribly, horribly painful, but not in need of a root canal.

Oh, that's shame! Root canal work is fun! I had some guy root (!) around in a root canal of mine for two sessions of an hour each, at the princely sum of >£300 (which was a lot for me to pay for dentistry). All for a tooth that would have been better off being extracted in the first place.

Oh dear me no! I'm sorry if my post was ambiguous enough for you to think so.

I have no trouble with people messing about in my mouth, though.

I was invited (entirely without expecting to) on tv this afternoon (for the second time ever), to speak very briefly about the municipal library programs and the libraries sector in the upcoming international book fair.
I think i did very well. I only spoke for 5 min, but it was nice.

Likely i won't link to any video, unless i did even better than i think i did. :)

Actually getting hype for Just Cause 3. It's been so long since I've felt this way for a game coming out within a year.

After almost a year of having this computer, I finally got around to changing my homepage from the default MSN page. Now it's: http://spacenews.com/. :D

Also made this my background

Well not exactly that. The picture I'm actually using is just like it but instead of artist's renderings, it uses real pictures from space probes. My friend sent it to me but I can't find it online.

0/10 too much Pluto. And no real closeup pictures (yet).

I humbly suggest you change your avvie to the space sphere from Portal 2.
