Random thought: the FB in FBI stands for FaceBook.

Pretty much the first thing they do in investigating a crime these days is go check your social media posting history, so . . . why not?

I don't know, did I already suggest this? Or was this something I saw somewhere else and forgot? Idea: inverted Hallmark movie where a woman leaves her small town to become a successful executive and has no regrets about it.

 this is a good one.

And she's mean and nasty to her employees.

And she has two suitors: one a charming player who's really an a-hole and the other a sort of dweeb in flannel shirts who's got a great heart. She chooses the player and they make each other's lives miserable.

And the small town she's from has a beloved annual Christmas festival that is in danger of not being held any more. Her skills could change that, but she doesn't bother, so the festival dies.

Obviously she dumps the Eric Mabius/Michael Cera character for the Julian mcMahon one, right?

Not to mention that if the male love interest is divorced/widower with kids, she tells the kids to get lost, and is mean to the family dog (not that I condone being mean to the family dog, but this is after all a parody).

The male lead needs to be someone more like Dean Cain, ideally working in the capacity of carpentry or independent hardware store owner. The female lead doesn’t need to be mean in any sense, just ambitious and more of a cosmopolite.

Rather than accepting his advances, she moves to the city to work in developing a chain store—one that soon will open in Generic Small Town USA and runs Dean Cain out of business through more efficient distribution channels enabling lower prices and more selection.

Furthermore, his sappy sentimentality is not sufficient to convince the townsfolk that going to his overpriced podunk store is better than the “cold” chain store.

Ah, yes, this bit is important. If she is the new executive from the big city she should have two underlings: one a simpering spineless personal assistant and the other a quite handsome number two with some obvious sexual tension. He migth be trying to bed his way to success.

I didn't know that "viking funerals" were a thing. Is it common or more like a cult?

Seems more like a hipster kind of thing to do. I don’t want any of that pagan baloney at mine—Christian all the way. :jesus:

The US burial culture is weird. Look up ‘KISS KASKETS’ on your own.
Spoiler :
(yes, they're KISS-themed coffins)

By the way what’s the deal with European emergency sirens? I can’t tell who’s coming, the fire brigade or the Ghostbusters.

I need a new coat
One that’s not old and ripped
One that can keep me warm,
one that can be unzipped

I need a new coat
I’ll go look at the store
Check out the men’s coatracks,
check the whole discount floor

I’m looking for a beige coat, but it doesn’t have to be
It just needs to be priced for me

I have just had a flu jab invite from the NHS. It has the information in 26 different languages, including one I had not heard of (Twi) and Romany, that I had not realized was a living language in the UK. I am quite impressed.
