Rat 41 CCM - AW a first attempt

There are 5 nations left now:

USA (2 cities), Maya and Aztec in the south
India should fall quickly
Nubia is a harder nut to crack

I left one small stack of healthy units for Elephantium to decide where to send.

Below the Indian Island, small and easy to take as their units are crap

The leftover southern tip of the continent. American cities are hard to take due to the really tough terrain. We should be able to take them out sooner or later

There is also a MGL shipped home on an airfield, You might want to rush a lot of units as it seems we can never have enough of them especially lancias due to their long range. We go have enough infantry for sure and you will find tons of workers fortified in lots of places. The scale of the game is just breathtaking.

Fine work. :goodjob:

That's pretty funny about our landing in Nubia's being routed by archers. Basically we re-created the disastrous Italian campaign of 1896 in Ethiopia--within twelve years of the real date, too. I take it we didn't have a settler and a worker along to guarantee that we could build an airfield?

I took over when that convoy was already on its way and it did only have tanks...nicely taken apart by archers, cats and chariots :crazyeye:

"MM massively to get WW2 ships down to 4 turns"

A click of the slider would also work. I posted a corrected save with that done, as I mentioned in my log I had not readjusted on the first posted save.

No settler, figured we have no reason for a town. Workers would be available from razing towns. I guess I missed the boat on the tanks doing so poorly.

Maybe you could go ahead and take the dominataion and save all the wear and tear. Plant some towns and end it. Eventualy the conquest would take place. At least it is getting harder for the AI to have a settler out running around.

Second the motion.

Well, I might have agreed with that at the beginning of my last round. But now we've done, probably, 80% of the extra work involved in winning by conquest rather than domination, and it would be a pity not to complete the project.

Very soon we'll be at the point where nothing needs to be moved except the units involved in invading Nubia, and the turns should speed up for that reason.

I think it should be a rather fast affair with Nubia as well. main job is to find ways to attack the enemy in this lousy terrain.

I even disabled animations as it took too long.
Workers are fortified and can be used to RR to attack further but that should also be over soon.

Elephantium is up btw.

It easy easy for me and you, we are not going to slog through it. Myself, I would go ahead and kill them all, but it is over either way. Just a matter of the final rattles. I do not have any issues with the size, if I did I would not have played all 10 turns. Could have play 5 and passed it on.

It is a conquest right now, just a matter of going throught the motion, not sure how it would be a pity. Sort of like watching the credits at the end of the film and leaving as they are playing. No difference at all, unless you wanted to know the second grips name. We already saw the final act.

Only reason I tossed out the idea was in case Elepantium was not looking forward to the wrap up.

I understand your point, and I like the film-credits analogy. I just consider that part of the appeal of succession games is that we really finish them, at the most demanding victory condition, rather than breaking off when victory is certain or bailing out with domination as in so many solo games.

I am worse that you. If it was a solo game I would be working like a dog to get rails on all the tiles. I sometimes play on after the win to "clean up things". I was just tossing out the possiblity for the others that are not crazy. :D

I have a more civ like analogy though. It is like having the 10th part done and will finish on the IBT. No real need to hit that enter key. Actually I can't as the game crashes on space launches. lol

Anyway I would be happy to play it to the end, to free up the Rat42 players to work on that one for "completeness".
