And MN, if we punish these soldiers, then we set the precedent that we will not deal with future terrorist organizations. The copperheads have committed actions against our country before, and we have failed to label them terrorists, which may explain the lack of action against them. But should we punbish those who take the iniative against an organization that has had violent tenbdencies in the recent past, then we give the image that we will tolerate terrorist actions against us.
Actually, I think that we
did label them terrorists, and LH was going to do some narrations, then that didn't happen, and it all got retconned and confused, so, honestly, I've been pretty confused on what Copperhead actions have been canon and which were wiped away. I was under the impression that their most violent acts got retconned into oblivion.
With that in mind, Lighthearter had made it pretty clear that, if left alone, the Copperheads would lose all popular support and just fade away. Yes, I can understand the desire to punish them for the trouble they've caused, but I don't feel that it was strictly necessary. The reason why these soldiers need to be held accountable (and I'm not asking for more than an official demerit and maybe 100 laps

) is because they disregarded a standing order to leave the Copperheads alone, and because their actions caused a relatively benign situation to spiral out of control until it reached armed rebellion. Yes, the soldiers intentions were good, but that doesn't mean that their actions were smart, and it certainly doesn't mean that they had no part to play in what transpired afterwards.
Everything below this relates to the next Plan
Now, as regarding the plan of action for the second half of my term.
It's more of the same, more or less, except that I have decided to build the Taj Mahal. Cull will be assisting us, as will a new Great Prophet that was born in London. Our Prophet and Great Spy will be used to launch another Golden Age. Not only is the Golden Age awesome, but it should speed up the Taj, so, if my calculations are right, it should finish a turn or two after this Golden Age ends, giving us our third Golden Age in 30 turns.
If this doesn't help us catch up, I don't know what will.
I'm aware that using our Great Spy in this way means we can't use him to keep tabs on our enemies, but since he's located the main stack, we can build a couple of normal spies to handle tracking duties, and maybe even a Caravel, if we get Optics, because they can enter hostile territory without Open Borders.
Tech Plan is to finish Military Tradition, then Gunpowder for Musketmen and Cuirassiers, and then, if available, Economics to try for the free Great Merchant (not sure what to do, either trade mission or settle in Ravus-York), and then Printing Press, with the plan to head into Replaceable Parts and Rifling for Redcoats!
Getting some Catapults elsewhere wouldn't be a bad idea, but I'm not sure how many other cities we have available. Arya-Kent, perhaps. Cull-Norwich could do Catapults, but then it would not be available for Missionaries (Setia
is on Missionary duty, but it can't build them very fast). On the plus side, two more Golden Ages should let us get a lot of critical infrastructure in place, such as Stock Exchanges (Banks) and Universities, and should help pull us into tech parity or even lead (we seem to be catching up).
