If we leverage that enough, we'll be nigh on unstoppable. And Ireland... As one of my last acts as President, I decree that it be ruled by a joint commisssion of 3 Irishmen and 3 Englishmen until the war is over, at which point we can draw up a plan for governance.

OKay first of all, i believe TW (twinkletoes) is ineleigible for president due to him being a ONE MAN PARTY ( i may be wrong, he may have a second member, or maybe LH never officially instituted this rule).

LH did implement the Major Party rule, which states that in order to run for president, a party must have at least two members. It is listed on the front page. So Twinkletoes is ineligible for candidacy.

Indeed anyone should be eligible. Otherwise independents or those who disagree with the main parties have no chance of replacing them without teaming up with one of them.

As long as people set out a manifesto/summary of their beliefs for how the country should be led, then there should be no problem.

That's fair, since my name is a joke.

We of the Imperial party solidly support using this opportunity to expand our eastern holdings, seize the Buddhist and Hindu holy cities, and liberate what the Arabs have taken. Technologically, we should pursue Railroads after Steam Power is perfected. I have heard our scientists muse that such a development would allow us to deploy soldiers nearly instantaneously throughout our vast territories, essential for an empire of our size. This technology would also have direct military application, allowing us to field rapid-fire weapons that can fortify any position.

I want to pursue a policy of neutrality with the Vikings, but we'll have to keep a detachment of soldiers at home, just in case Ragnar thinks he smells an opportunity to pounce. Successfully prosecuted, this war may open the possibility for... Manifest Destiny. Let Englishmen live on both the western and eastern shores of the continent!

I support getting democracy after that to build SOL on the continent and get free specialists all over. After a war or two that thing should be giving 30+ specs on a continent this size. Okay so life is pretty busy at the moment. I'm going to have to go apologise to some people in the social games forum for disappearing.

But lets's see... Aysee's reign is now over, others have done a summery of events and i can do another at some point, but for now... well in the interest of Full Disclosure...

Now that President Aysee is out of power: There never was, nor has there ever been any scientist’s in the old Avalon Facility that was sabotaged and exploded…

Full History of the Scientists

Spoiler :

1. The Doctor and his henchmen decide to do some research to help England.
2. They don’t want to tie themselves to a particular government as they consider themselves patriotic to the country.
3. The Night Eagles find these scientists and hide them away in wales.
4. We, the Government find out and enter talks with them to gain their services.
5. They refuse to trust us…
6. But I figure out they are being protected by the Night eagles in wales and after a few messages back and forth I agree that the night eagles should protect them and that I will make people believe they are elsewhere while getting them money.
7. I set up Avalon to distract everyone, get very amused when everyone comes up with special ways to hide the empty facility.
8. Eventually the Night Eagles were released from protecting the scietists and I took over having now gained their trust.
9. The Facility was destroyed mysteriously and I kept quiet and pretended that our golden tech laying Scientists were dead.
10. Now I reveal that they are alive and well…

So is this where i yell "suprise!"? Who would like a free tech for say 50 gold? Maybe 100? Their prices may have gone up after all.

The Rebellion in New Horizons, Ireland
This is probably done by the people their to gain independence. Like I’ve said I don’t mind letting the Khan rule it “IF” they agree to be vassals or true allies, I suppose we could be argued down to a permanent defensive pact and them joining the war against Russia and Arabia. But we would need something to ease English fears of a Ireland under control by a hostile power… if we just let them be free and separate then Vikingdom could sail down and capture them next. We won’t have a enemy sitting in Ireland or a stranger that could be killed, we need a servant or an ally, either defensive or true.

Science vs Money - With our clear tech advantage we could try to gain a even larger lead or cut back a bit to upgrade all out units

Economy
Capitalism vs Communism - The Final technologies are nearly there so the next leader must make a choice. Do we support communism with its free state and large land. Or Capitalism with it’s corporations and money.

Military
War vs Peace - Although we hurt Russia we have not hurt the Arabs… they will not talk to us about peace until we bloody their nose. But do we do just that? Or try to drive them all the way back to the middle east before we talk peace?

Ireland
Indepence vs Vassal vs Ally vs Rebels - Do we let Ireland stand alone with the risk that it falls once again to a foreign power? Do we demand they bow to us in servitude yet also protection? Or do we try to bind them to us as equals, through a Defensive Pact or Alliance? Do we bring them into our war? Or do we tell them enough is enough, that they are English not Irish and tell them they are a separate peoples no more?

Intervention vs Isolation - We saw during Aysee’s term the flaws of concentrating on one target. While we stared down the Norse Vikings the Arabs declared war on the Russians and Indians to claim their holy cities. They claimed the Buddhist holy city and Capitluated Russia, but India managed to force the Arabs into a Cease Fire. (Most likely through the Aposalistic Palace) The Egyptians bowed to Shaka. The Americans became Christian and the Eastern Korea and Japan went to war. Thus what shall we do this time?

We are at a point where every tech helps. So which will you go for?
Democracy gives us civics and a wonder,
Communism gives us civics and a free Great Spy,
Corporations gives us it’s namesake and a +100% Gold national wonder,

Or we can strike a boundary in Asia then turn our eyes elsewhere, either to the primitive natives overseas or too unclaimed land elsewhere to create colonies around the world.

@Fargle- Look what the Patriots have done to Ireland. Surely it is unforgivable? Join the Imperials, we'll reinstall the Khan in his Rightful place.

@Ravus List- I personally would Like to keep science high, going with a communist economy and Continueing the war, as aggressively as possible. I think the Irish should be independant, but with a DP or vassel Agreement to ensure they aren't invaded again. I support allowing our opponents to fight each other, whilst trying to maintain a balence, preferably stalemate in all wars amongst AIs. I would like to go railway -> democracy, whilst using th GE on SOL and settling the others in Ravus-York. Expansion should be done on the continent to leverage SOL, and I support doing a lot of Damage to Russia and Arabia to try and keep them from remaining a threat.

Alright, for now, (I hope it's fine Mechearik), I'm pushing IngSoc on the path of SOCIAL IMPERIALSIM. Yes, that means we're now aiming to conquer land to bring teh Revolution to all the peoples.

And, guys, I put Ireland into limbo for a reason. I don't want it to tie down our war effort. After this war is over, we can wrangle out what to do with them.

And my plans for the next turnset?

• Militarization (Full out military production)
• Conquest & Liberation (Grabbing Russia, Eventually an attack on Arabia itself)

These are the positions of the Party to Restore Sanity:

Government Spending and Technology

We should push forwards onto Railroad, Physics and Communism. I firmly believe we have enough units to force a ceasefire with Saladin with the capture of Moscow. We must then defend these holdings by embarking upon a building of defensive units and supply lines which will hold back even the sternest foe. Physics gives us much more effective reconnaissance, and will be essential in detecting attacks before they occur.

Economy

I support an adoption of Communism as soon as we have perfected the process (technology) - which will be discovered after Railroad. We gain commerce savings through reduced maintenance and our workshops become more useful with extra food to support them. This will enhance our production for our troop building. Communism is the pragmatic choice.

Military

Arabia - we must hit them at Moscow with the forces we can and I believe that will bring them back to the negotiating table. A long war far from home where we need to pass through neutral waters will cripple us in the end, and then our divided lands will be threatened by the Vikings. Peace is essential once it becomes available.

Then our choices are two-fold depending on the assessment of the Viking troops and their relationship to Poland and their strength. We MUST secure an English controlled land route to St Petersburg and (hopefully) Moscow. We will then be able to move troops by rail much quicker than by sea and that will make defending them easier.

To do this we must either take the Viking Scandinavia, or take out Poland. If the Viking troops are of a lesser level and number, we should take out Poland as that will establish our dominance on mainland Europe and secure the strongest supply line to the Russian/Arab border. Taking out Poland may also mean that we could get Germany involved and give us extra support.

If the Viking troops are more of a threat, we should take them out in double thrusts from St Petersburg and by sea from England/mainland Europe. This should get them to divide their forces or take them by surprise and take out their major production centres before they can adequately defend them.

Once again, sheer pragmatism so that we can best hold onto our gained assets and not divide our empire.

Ireland

Ireland must be returned to the control of the Khan, as we do not break our promises. We shall negotiate with the Khan over a mutual-cooperation pact where he is independent in the eyes of his people, but is compelled to act in the mutual interests of our nations, like a devolved state.

Foreign

Once again, we should be pragmatic and responsible. We should focus on our plans to secure our empire, but must not lose sight of the greater democratic picture. We must do our utmost to secure a more stable relationship with Saladin at this time, as we have better targets to send our armies against, even at the expense of India if it came to it.

Once we have secured our empire in the plans I have described, we must focus our attentions upon the North Americans. Those lands are fertile and less technologically advanced. We can establish a foothold there and begin to bring forth the benefits of our empire upon the people. They are more likely to be content under our Christian rule than any other invaders upon their territory. We must claim it before our rivals do.

Great People

I would look at sending the merchant to the Americas to set up a profitable trade venture to boost our coffers. I would save the Engineer to help rush the Statue of Liberty on the european continent once the war to soldify our empire has completed.

Scientist I may well settle for now in our best beaker city.

Expansion

Already covered so here are the basic points:

War with Viking/Poland to secure our holdings of St Pete's and hopefully Moscow.

Build up of railroad and defensive troops on mainland whilst setting up a strong expeditionary force to head towards America and begin our manifest destiny.

I hope these policies strike a chord with you, even if they do not win the votes. I am here to show you my neutral, pragmatic views on the future of our country, rather than simply adhering to an ideology.
