@MN, I changed yours post and your name using your Javascript thingy

Also what is the a, not e thing about?

It isn't permanent, but it's cool.

If you take the phrase "addicted to math" and accidentally switch the a to an e, what do you get?

LH had revealed that it has something to do with the Irish and that if we react incorrectly, we'll be DOWed upon...

And he'd revealed... a bit more, which I will keep silent on ATM. :mischief:

They are a part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor! Take them away!

OK, regarding the riots, I believe the plan goes something like this (Sonereal can clarify if he wishes to): General Sonereal is dispatched to Ravus-York with any spare troops that can be mustered. Upon arrival, he will take control of the Archer units in the city, who will be equipped with blunted arrowheads to minimize deaths. Sonereal's first task is to regain control of the soldiers engaged in the riots (he certainly has the authority to do so), and then force the Copperheads to disperse. Soldiers must take care to use non-lethal measures. Soldiers are authorized to detain rioters. Amnesty shall be offered to rioters who agree to peaceably return to their homes.

Units in nearby towns an cities shall be put on notice, but will not deploy without my express orders. Only if the situation continues to deteriorate will I consider deploying more units.

The hardest thing to do would be to get the MPs to get back in order. Getting the crowd to disperese shouldn't be too hard and if the riots continue in the face of blunted arrow damage (which will still hurt like hell and probably crack bones), then nearby troops would be key.

I do think the MPs that started this mess need to be trialed however.

Agreed, but I wouldn't mention that to them right away. :mischief:

Wait. They can "hear" forum posts?

Uh, I don't think so. I just meant, I wouldn't suggest riding into town and shouting: "Hey, all you rioting soldiers! I need you to get back into line, and by the way, you'll all be court-martialed afterwards!" Convince them to help you, and only after the riots are over, tell them that they will be held accountable.

Agreed.

I'm sure everything will work out well if we stay unified. Any action in Ravus-York lately?

Sounds good. However, I'm on alert for the time being, due to the "event" that will soon spring forth...

We must rebuild our army. A war with Norden is inevitable, and fortune favors the prepared.

We must also develop plans of action. If we fall into a war with the Tsardom of Russia and the Kingdom of Norden, we must be prepared.

I propose allowing their armies to enter our borders, where we have greater mobility and knowledge of terrain. We wait until their armies are deep enough so that they cannot retreat quickly, then we shell the invaders with heavy artillery barrages. Following that bombardment, we would send in cavalry to disable their siege weaponry and inflict casualties on their hardiest defenders. Finally, we send our infantry in, to join them in a heavy battle.

After heavy artillery barrages and flanking, their forces will be wounded and will not be able to fight effectively. Our troops should then be able to inflict such a devastating loss on them that they will not be able to threaten us anymore.

Quite frankly, only a naval assault of Britain itself scares me. An assault via Poland would only lead to a large front, hard to defend, and at the same time, hard to attack and make progress. An invasion of Greece has some merit on the enemy side, but baring any other civilizations entering, the combined might of England, Greece, and Ireland will easily withhold assault unless we lower our guard, and become hasty. Military must always be ready, and this is even more important, as we enter the new age, the dawn of a new Europe, one fractured by power structures, and sphere of influences.

Which Greece, German or Polish? :crazyeye:

I do not believe the continent is in danger of a naval assault (its an AI quirk), but the British Isles themselves are.

Greece as in our vassal, German.

While the AI usually fails at naval assaults, if we get caught with our pants down in the Isles, we could suffer the burning of London.
