Enemy Strength: 20 Recruits, 4 IMVs

Rewards: None

THIS MISSION HAPPENS AFTER THE SUBSEQUENT ONE.

We know the patrol route the Soviets take. There are a couple of relatively (30-40 feet) high forested bridges in the area. The five civilians will take the explosives and plant them at the base of the pylons of one of the bridges the Soviets will cross in the early morning. They will do this late evening (11PMish.)

Our IMVS will wait in hiding on either side of the bridge, waiting until the Soviet patrols are on the bridge. At the last second, they will drive out, blocking both ends. They will shower the Soviet IMVS with gunfire. Once the soviets are trapped on the bridge, blow the pylons, sending the soviets down to the abyss. kill any survivors, and scavenge, as quickly as possible, the wreckage for useful supplies and ammunition.

Spoiler :
A train carrying ammunition from plants further west has been stopped on the tracks directly to our south. They are awaiting the arrival of engineers to get the train moving again and have left it only lightly guarded. We have a chance to gather a good amount of ammo if we choose to strike.

THIS MISSION HAPPENS FIRST

Take 13 recruits, armed with Carbines and assault rifles, and pistols in 2 IMVs and the Sedan. The IMVs will drive first. Drive up to the train, the fact that we are in Stolen Russian vehicles allowing us to pass for the engineers until we get close enough. Cut down the russians soldiers from within the IMVs, and then, as quickly as possible, load up the ammo.

I know I said when the update will be, and rest assured it's still coming. We're going to go to a more typical update pace for now, as I have been busy with various other endeavors and my day job. We're now aiming for Friday afternoon, so get those orders in!

Hi there,

Can I still join?

I'm having a quick read from work, but this looks fun.

Sure, just follow the setup format, and you're all good.

Spending:

Spend 100 Credits on 2 x Explosives

Missions:

Our top priority will be covering our tracks. We will attempt to engage the Soviet patrol with 10 Veterans and 10 Regulars. 2 Regulars will each be armed with Carbines to be used as sniper rifles while the rest of our forces utilize Assault Rifles for close quarters fighting. The plan will be to track the patrol until it establishes a patrol base for the night. At that point we will try to silently kill sentries with knives, etc. and plant an explosive on the light tank. If we are detected before planting the explosives on the tank, our snipers will provide suppressing fire on the enemy position while our assault forces maneuver to and destroy/capture the tank as quickly as possible. If we are able to capture the tank we will turn it on the remaining Soviet forces, if not we will fight off the remaining Soviet forces and try to eliminate all enemy Soldiers. As per our standard operating procedure, we will disguise our faces with masks/bandannas/etc.

If we manage to capture any of the Soviet soldiers we will blindfold them and lead them back to our base. Again, we will leave these POWs blindfolded at all times, but to be extra safe we will also wear masks whenever interacting with them. We will try to discern the location of Soviet supply caches in our area and Soviet field hospitals in our area. If they give us any information we will verify it using our scouts. If they lie we punish them (but do not kill them) and continue interrogating them until they provide us with better intel. If the intel checks out we will house them but not untie or unblindfold them.

At the same time that we are planning the attack on the enemy patrol, our remaining Regulars and Veterans will pull security around our base as well as scout for enemy supply caches and field hospitals in our area.

Faction name: Lyzhniki (Лыжники, lit. "Skiers", meaning "Deserters" in Russian/Soviet army slang)
Faction leader: Mladshiy Serzhant (Junior Sergeant) Vasiliy "Vasya" Petrenko
Background trait: Soldier
Starting location: Random (they're Soviet deserters lost in a foreign country; I intentionally want them to feel lost in NYC)
Background: Vasya Petrenko was never known to be a dissident or a capitalist sympathizer. Neither was he an avid communist. Son of a convicted felon and her unknown lover, Vasya was raised by his grandparents and developed a taste for petty street hooliganism early in his life. His conscription into the Army, as his grandparents believed, was going to become a great school of life for the young troublemaker. At first, his service to the Motherland, indeed, seemed to have had a positive effect on Petrenko's personality, and he enjoyed his first promotion to Junior Sergeant shortly before being sent to serve overseas. However, a chance intervened into Vasya's life in the most insulting manner. His battalion commander, in a fit of drunken petty tyranny, sent Sergeant Petrenko and his squad to guard some useless road intersection "from capitalist insurgents" in the middle of some unfamiliar urban area. As it usually goes, the commander soon completely forgot about his order, the battalion got redeployed to a different city, and the missing soldiers were declared to be deserters. By day four of their "honorable mission," Sergeant Petrenko and his comrades ran out of their rations and started to vaguely suspect that something was going wrong. Finally, Vasiliy decided to abandon the post and lead his squad back to friendly forces. To his dismay, he and his boys were greeted not as battle comrades, but as criminals. On the second night of his arrest, Vasiliy and a few of his comrades managed to escape their military unit, along with some captured weapons and ammo. (Unknown to them, the military police was about to get to the bottom of the entire mix-up, but the pardon was waived as soon as the news of Petrenko's men's escape arrived to the headquarters.) Now, the Lyzhniki are on their own in the middle of a giant sprawl of this decaying city, looking to start a new free life in this alien country with its alien customs, alien food, and alien people. They don't fight for America, they don't fight against the Soviet Union, and they'd really rather have their ex-comrades join them instead of shooting them, but the Lyzhniki are determined to use their superior training, their undying resourcefulness, and, of course, their "advahnst Ingleesh" to carve out a personal domain in the city of New York.

Whelp, time to get started on that update. Still missing a couple of orders, so here's the last chance to get them in!

Radio Free America: Update 4, July 2017

Taking a look at the funnier side of life, we have gotten news in from Manhattan that the Soviets have shut down a social club glorifying their regime. They issued a statement saying, “While we are flattered by the enthusiasm of the American people for their liberation, we hope that you will place your trust in our administration to guide you to a brighter future. Any organizations outside of those created by the Liberation Council are considered to be illegal in operations, regardless of their politics.” In other words, the damn Russkies don’t need us pathetic Americans to build a commie paradise in our country.

We have learned that the Soviets have rounded up some of our fellow police officers from Manhattan and are going to be transporting them just south of our base. If we could halt the convoy and liberate them, we would have some fresh new recruits for the cause.

The American Commune
The American Commune is said to have created an organization to support the Soviet cause in Manhattan. An amicable KGB agent soon turned up to convince them to stop operating, reminding them of laws against private social groups. They thanked the movement’s leaders for having their hearts in the right place and provided them with a small contribution to continue spreading the good news about the Soviet occupation but warned them against further such activities. (+100 Credits)

The American Commune stuck a heavy blow against the Soviets, by wiping out a small patrol that had wandered into their territory. Catching them off guard in the attack, the Soviets barely had time to fight back before being overwhelmed. A couple of resistance soldiers were killed in the fight, and the rest escaped with the weapons of the enemy. (-15 Ammunition, -2 Civilians; 8 Civilians upgraded to Recruits, +10 Assault Rifles)

Spoiler :

Our cyber activities have been so far unable to create new data in the Soviet networks. While we have been able to view some of the lower security information in the network, we cannot modify any entries. Still we have learned of an apartment building that is being used to house a number of political prisoners who were arrested in initial protests against Soviet occupation not far away to the southeast.
Enemy Strength: 10 Regulars

Our contact at Tunt Manor has given us a lead on Soviet operations. Apparently they purchased a dock and local facility just south of Lincoln Tunnel. Apparently a shipment of unknown and possibly toxic materials was brought into the city there a few days ago. It may be a good idea to find out what’s going on.

In light of our recent activities involving the aborted Red Guard, the Soviets have heightened their own patrols in the area of our headquarters. We have an opportunity to strike them and win an easy fight.

The Soviets, seeking to undermine the entire American way of life, have started holding their own soccer matches at Hudson River Park. Their treasured athletes are guarded by only minimal troops, and killing them could prove a devastating blow to Soviet morale in New York as well as bolster the spirit of all good soccer-hating Americans.

The All-Americans

The All-Americans have launched another stunning attack upon the Soviets. Having been pursued into the woods by a Soviet force equipped with a tank, the All-Americans set up an ambush to end these attacks. The Soviets were lax in their protocols and set up a marginal base. The Americans silently eliminated the Soviet sentries, and the rest of the encampment had their throats slit in their sleep, and no alarm was ever raised. The Soviet tank was stripped of fuel and supplies, and then demolished with an explosive. (-1 Explosive, 5 Regulars upgraded to Veterans, +20 Fuel, +20 Supplies, +70 Ammunition, +20 Assault Rifles, +1 Heavy Machine Gun)

Spoiler :

One of the Soviets talked at the patrol before we executed him. He revealed that there is a large ammunition dump just to the south in Garwood. It is moderately defended by armored forces, but could represent a major boon to our rebellion.
Enemy Strength: 20 Regulars, 2 APCs
Rewards: Ammunition

Our intelligence gathering has found the Soviets using a grocery store to stockpile supplies in the suburbs of Elizabeth. There are a large amount of supplies designated for Soviet patrols here and could offer us a substantial improvement of life in our base, depending on how many we can get away with, but a tank is located on site to prevent looting.
Enemy Strength: 15 Regulars, 3 IMVs, 1 Light Tank
Rewards: Supplies

The Blue Eagles

The Blue Eagles have reentered the drug game, which had been briefly shut down by Soviet occupation. The occupation had led to a complete collapse of the illegal drug market as American gangs and operations did their best to recover and provide for their addicts. Most were killed by the Soviets who had no need or desire for due process. Therefore, the Blue Eagles found a very lackluster and unsupportive market for their new products. After spending our efforts in June to locate any significant Soviet supply depots, our intelligence gathering has borne fruit! We have located a major Soviet supply depot just to the south, and if we can break the defenders, we could come away with as many supplies as we could haul.

The Eradicators

The Eradicators launched another open assault upon the forces of the Soviet Union in Queens. With a swarm of fresh recruits, they launched an attacked upon an explosives depot. The Soviets were surprised, but still managed to put up a tough fight against their assailants. Ultimately the resistance’s superior numbers won the day and the Soviets were slaughtered and their armored vehicle secured. Unfortunately, no one among the Eradicators could figure out how to operate the vehicle, so an explosive was used to destroy it before retreating. (-6 Civilians, -1 Recruit, 3 Recruits wounded; +9 Civilians upgraded to Recruits, +28 Explosives, +9 Assault Rifles)

A Soviet patrol was threatening Eradicator operations in Queens, and so an ambush was laid to attack it. Explosives were used to attack the vehicles of the patrol, but unfortunately, only two were destroyed in the initial attack. The heavy machine gun mounted on top of the third inflicted a heavy tool upon the Eradicator rebels, and allowed the surviving Soviets to retreat without further casualties. Reinforcements were ultimately deployed to the area, but the Eradicators had left before they could arrive. (-30 Ammunition, -4 Recruits, 5 Recruits wounded, +2 Notoriety; +6 Assault Rifles)

The Hellions

Soviet authorities in Manhattan claim to be closing in on the criminal organization known as the Hellions. Investigations in the area have led to a number of possible leads as local patrols intensify against rebel activity. (+2 Notoriety)

Further effective Soviet operations were conducted near Trump Tower as a small force of Hellions attempted to inspire the captured American POWs. Unfortunately, the guards in the neighboring art gallery detected the Hellion intrusion and set off the alarms. Hundreds of Soviet soldiers descended upon the Hellion force, and only a few made it out alive. Some reports indicate that several Hellions were captured by the Soviets and have been handed off to the KGB for interrogation. (-5 Civilians, -2 Recruits, 3 Recruits Wounded, -4 Ammunition, -6 Pistols, +5 Notoriety)

The Hellions did deliver a nasty surprise to the Soviets in Central Park, using a heavy machine gun and surprise to devastate some security forces near a new armory. The attack was swift and brutal, leaving no Soviet survivors. The Hellions were incredibly pleased to find even more heavy machine guns to add to their arsenal, in addition to an ample supply of assault rifles. Using makeshift carts and carrying all they could haul the Hellions ran off into the night. (-20 Ammunition, -2 Recruits; +40 Ammunition, +38 Assault Rifles, +6 Heavy Machine Guns)

Spoiler :

With the capture of several of our operatives in the attack near Trump Tower and the heightened activities of Soviet patrols near our main base, we are at a severe risk of discovery. Using their newly acquired munitions, the Red Dusk struck at a Soviet patrol on an isolated bridge in the mountains. The Soviets were boxed onto the bridge and rapidly cut down by sustained fire. Using explosives, the resistance demolished the bridge with the Soviets still upon it, sending them and their vehicles tumbling down. There were no survivors. The resistance looted what they could, and eliminated the few surviving Soviet soldiers before returning to base. On the good side, we have enough food and drink to last us for a while. Although the boys are starting to complain that they can't find any normal black bread and buckwheat in this poor city. Plus, American sausages are called "hot dogs," meaning "boiled puppy meat," according to Valeriy, whose English is very-very good (he's from Moscow, and his dad is an airlines pilot, so of course the fancy devil speaks like a true Amerikanets). What a wild, savage country this is!
P.S. Their "buffalo wings" are really good, though. Never knew buffaloes could fly...

Time to free our comrades from our comrades! From our time in a military detention facility (and especially from our escape from it) we already know a thing or two about prison camp sentry routines and patrolling techniques. Just to be safe, we will try to observe the sentries secretly for a little while, just to map their patrolling routes and develop a plan of attack. When the time is right, all 25 Lyzhniks will take up their positions in the approaches to the facility. We will try to approach the sentries as close as possible, using our knowledge of Russian language and army jargon to confuse them (or at least to delay their firing upon us). If at all possible, we'll try to overwhelm and disarm sentries without any shots fired (they're not much different from our lot, after all). But if someone sounds an alarm, we'll use our superior tactical training in close quarters battle to storm the facility and put down any resistance with force and firepower. If we have extra time and enough medical supplies left after helping our own boys, we'll make sure to provide first aid for wounded sentries that survived the attack (let the lucky fools spread the word about our good deeds among the ranks). We'll also try to gather as much supplies, weapons, and intact uniform (undress the defenders if needed) before leaving the site, if we have enough time.

Mission II
Spoiler :
The officer who started the whole arrest process of our people is passing through the area just to the south of our base. He is also a hated enemy of the local Americans. If we assassinate them, we could win support from the populace and avenge ourselves for the ill treatment we received.

Finally, all these months of forced participation in the regimental amateur performance school will come to some use! Five of our boys in Soviet uniform will be stationed across the road down which the IMVs are planned to arrive. They'll act out a little scene, as if two of our soldiers are heavily wounded (use that strange local sauce called "keh-tchoop" for extra believability). Once the IMVs stop, and the privates approach us, we'll spring our ambush (all of the remaining Lyzhniks will participate in it). If possible, we'll again try to disarm everyone without much violence (the element of surprise and ability to communicate clearly should help us in that), but we'll use as much firepower as needed if the soldiers resist. If some of the conscripts express their desire to join us, we'll welcome them (we'll take away their weapons just for the time being), while the rest of the prisoners can be robbed of all valuables and left on the side of the road in their underwear. And of course, that bastard of an officer must die. We'll let him smoke one last cigarette before shooting him (we're not monsters, after all). If the IMVs are in any shape to drive after it, we'll take them to our base.

Reconnaissance mission
After all missions are accomplished, two groups of five Lyzhniks in complete uniform will start exploring the area we're in (two hexes around our base). They'll do their best to act like Soviet patrols, although they'll try to minimize contact with other Soviet units. If possible, they'll try to "reclaim" some food, hardware, medical supplies, and, of course, alcohol from the locals (they'll make it look like a Soviet "nationalization" effort, to avoid reputation losses for the Lyzhniki). They won't be too aggressive with our working class brothers, of course: after all, we're here to help American proletarians, not to rob them of their last possessions.
P.S. Valeriy has suggested taking a few group photos with the Status of Liberty in the background. Now we need to find some photo camera.

We don't have enough boys to move the base and all our junk. So let's go KGB hunting

Everyone (10 recruits and 5 civilians) grab all the HMGs and however many assault rifles they need, as well as two explosives, and go wipe out the KGB dude and his escort with extreme prejudice. Scavenge whatever we can, and hightail it back to the base.

Mhm.

Before I do anything, can I get a clarification of the rules?

Are we allowed to have the same personel carry out multiple operations? If so, what are the limitations? What are the risks? If not... well I'll deal with that later.

Also, darn on the Red Guard shenanegins. Thanks for the refund though.

BUY 8 Units of Medicine with 320 Credits
BUY 76 Units of Supplies with 760 Credits

RECRUIT 45 Civilians with 450 Credits

Mission One (Supply Raid): Schaffhauser's credit reserves are completely exhausted, getting hold of Ruskie supplies is vital to our continued operations. Zachary Schaffhauser will lead 25 Recruits armed with Assault Rifles will raid the apartment in the dead of the night. The squad will try and be as quiet as possible in taking out the guards so they don't have a chance of alerting each other or their bosses. After all the guards are dead and/or incapacitated, the squad will clean out as much of the supply depot they can before reinforcements arrive.

Mission Two (University Liberation): One of Schaffhauser's informants have informed him of a group of film students that are pissed about the fact that their teachers have been locked up. Despite the financial difficulties facing the Eradicators, Schaffhauser believes that it is important to foster these home-grown revolutionary movements. With enough of these movements we can drive the Ruskies out once and for all! Schaffhauser will send one of his trusted lieutenants (1 regular armed with a Carbine) to lead the group of film students (45 Civilians armed with 19 Carbines and 26 Pistols) to free their teachers. The aim of the group will be to overwhelm the guards with superior numbers before they have time to react and then whisk the professors away to safety.

(OOC: I am assuming that credits I gain from selling things are available for use immediately, if not or if I buggered up the maths I'll redo my orders.)

79th Precinct Orders

Spoiler :
Spend 100 Credits to buy 100 Ammo

Mission One

We're going to use the first patrol as a dry run for the second mission to free our boys in blue using all our available units. We'll map out the patrol route of the 2 IMV patrol and find a good spot for an ambush, either a T intersection, 4 way stop or narrow side street if possible. We'll position 8 of our best shooters in groups of two on four rooftops or higher stories of any abandoned buildings forming a kill box. These will be our sniper teams. The two in front of the convoy will focus on taking out the drivers of the two IMVs, while the two behind the convoy will focus on taking out the gunners on the HMGs. Our goal is to disable the vehicles, remove the heavy firepower and pin down the remaining Soviets while preventing their escape. Once those targets are eliminated, they'll focus on picking off any officers, runners, radio operators, anyone trying to rally the troops, etc. The rest of our force will hole up in either abandoned buildings or sheltered alleyways to the side of the convoy (with our forces all being in the same side so there's no friendly fire). Once the attack starts and the enemy starts panicking, they will pop up and provide enfilading fire towards the convoy. When the Soviets are dead, we will gather up any of our wounded (for medical treatment), any usuable weapons, the IMVs (if they're still intact and driveable), any enemy wounded (for interrogation), any usable ammo/supplies/credits and head back to base.

Mission Two
If the first mission went well, we will employ similar tactics to free our fellow police officers, again using the whole squad. If we manage to recover one or both of the IMVs and any Soviet uniforms, some of our boys (6-10 depedning on the IMVs) will pose as a Soviet patrol /roadblock, in front of the convoy and take out the lead IMV before they can get close enough to notice something is wrong. A better option would be to position the IMV in an alley the drive out in front of the convoy then spraying the lead IMV with machinegun fire, giving our IMV an escape route if need be. The four sniper teams will then target the remaining IMVs, with the rest of our men again attacking from the side from cover; if we did not recover any IMVs, the plan of attack will start here, with the sniper teams targeting the lead and rear vehicles first to box in the convoy. We will again focus on taking out the biggest threats first (machine guns, officers, radios), taking care to avoid the prisoners. Once the enemy is eliminated, we will again hunt for any usuable weapons, supplies, etc and free the other police officers before heading back to base.

If our initial attack was not successful (ex: we took heavy casualties, did not recover either IMV, and/or the Soviets got away), we will instead spend 100 credits to purchase 2 Explosives which we will use to disable the lead and rear IMVs by either dropping/throwing them at the vehicles or improvise a delivery system, such as a shopping cart full of trash (thus blocking in the convoy), and using our sniper teams to take out the machine gunners, officers, etc., while the rest of our force attacks from cover.

Spoiler Opportunities :
Our cyber activities have been so far unable to create new data in the Soviet networks. While we have been able to view some of the lower security information in the network, we cannot modify any entries. Still we have learned of an apartment building that is being used to house a number of political prisoners who were arrested in initial protests against Soviet occupation not far away to the southeast.
Enemy Strength: 10 Regulars
Rewards: 20 Civilians
Risks: None

Our contact at Tunt Manor has given us a lead on Soviet operations. Apparently they purchased a dock and local facility just south of Lincoln Tunnel. Apparently a shipment of unknown and possibly toxic materials was brought into the city there a few days ago. It may be a good idea to find out what’s going on.
Enemy Strength: 20 Regulars, 2 APCs
Rewards: ???
Risks: None

In light of our recent activities involving the aborted Red Guard, the Soviets have heightened their own patrols in the area of our headquarters. We have an opportunity to strike them and win an easy fight.
Enemy Strength: 10 Recruits
Rewards: None
Risks: None

The Soviets, seeking to undermine the entire American way of life, have started holding their own soccer matches at Hudson River Park. Their treasured athletes are guarded by only minimal troops, and killing them could prove a devastating blow to Soviet morale in New York as well as bolster the spirit of all good soccer-hating Americans.

Rewards: +3 Legitimacy
Risks: +5 Notoriety

Resource Spending
200 Credits
-50 Credits for 1 Explosive
-25 Credits for Bribery
-25 Credits for Online Operations
-25 Credits for American Flags
-100 Credits Banked

Mission 1 - “Soviet Operations - Materials Unknown”
Total Manpower: 2 Recruits, 3 Civilians
Resource Distribution: 1 Recruit with Carbine, 1 Recruit with Assault Weapon, 3 Civilians with Pistols. 25 Credits for Bribery. 3 Ammo Per Fight.
Main Goal: Uncover more information on Soviet Operations (Scouting)
Main Tactics: Surveillance and pattern tracking. Bribery.
Notes:
Spoiler Deets :
2 Surveillance Teams. Recruit with Carbine with 1 Civilian provide overhead surveillance from various rooftops (esp at night) using various scopes. Recruit with Assault weapon stay in a nearby alleyway to coordinate 2 Civilians with Pistols doing closer passes. Acquire local ID or aliases as needed. Bribe for more information if possible. May need to physically note direction of transport and shift surveillance net over several weeks to try to pin down a destination.

If suspicion is raised, Recruits with Carbine and Assault weapon are to cover for the Civilian’s to extract. Civilians are not to pull pistols until one of the recruits fired first.

Mission 2 - “Operation e-Partment”
Total Manpower: 6 Recruits, 10 Civilians
Resource Distribution: 4 Recruits with 4 Assault Rifles, 2 Recruits with 2 Carbines, 4 Civilians with 4 Assault Rifles, 6 Civilians with Shotguns, 10 excess pistols to arm prisoners. 1 Explosive. 30 Ammo Per Fight.
Main Goal: Rescue and cover the escape of Political Prisoners
Main Tactics: Snipe and Night Assault, Ambush the Fast Reaction Force with Explosives
Notes: Cover faces, Complex Multiphase Operation
Spoiler Phase Deets :

Phase 1 - Set up

2 Assault Teams led by 2 Recruits with Assault Rifles Each
-2 Civilians with Assault Rifles
-3 Civilians with Shotguns

Establish Carbine users on nearby apartments. Aim for night assault - say 0200 hours.

Assault teams mover closer with cover of night. Carbine users are to start sniping at 0200 hours, or if Assault team sees an opening or are discovered, and open fire first.

Phase 2 - Assault

Assault team are to rush with automatic fire to allow Shotgun civilians to close rapidly, or to pin Soviet guards down to be sniped. Doors are to be kicked down or shotgun’d open. After forced entry, Assault Teams will split into two to search and organize the civilians, as well as gather easily obtained supplies/weapons. Give the rescued civilians pistols in the lobby as we are about to head out.

Carbine team is to provide overwatch after forced entry, shooting hostiles through windows and checking up on status of any reinforcements. 1 Recruit and 1 Civilian will set up an explosives device inside the entrance.

Phase 3 - Extraction

Depending on how well **** goes down, we need to leave fast. Arm the civilians which showed interest, but don’t force them to hold a gun if they’re confused or frightened. Don’t force them to carry much, but depending on overwatch they may lightly pack and carry useful supplies.

The 10 assault team civilians will split up into 5 groups of 2 with 4 rescued civilians. (each group is 2 armed civilians, 4 rescued civilians). The armed civilians will know the local lay out and disappear the best they can.

The 4 Assault Team Recruits will regroup with the Carbine Team and prepare an ambush.

Phase 4 - Ambush

We’re expecting a Rapid Reaction Force of no more than 2 IMVs and 10 Recruits. If we have time we will prop soviet guards on windows to look like rebels and attract fire. We will remain in wait until they enter the lobby or spread out too much. We will then detonate the explosives behind the first entry squad and lay down fire from both carbine and assault weapon, extracting immediately after the initial surge of surprise.

-> If extremely successful, Overwatch will track further reinforcements. If things seem favorable, the assault team will push up to try to commandeer an IMV or two to sell on the black market, but we must hurry!

-> If much larger than expected, extract the Assault and Carbine teams, and blow the explosives.

Phase 5 - Debriefing

Take the rescued prisoners through alley ways and then to our HQ the last way blindfolded. Debrief our rescued political prisoners. I hope they all wish to continue resisting and understand they are definitely wanted by the KGB and the soviets. However, if they don’t wish to fight we can help keep them hidden in our base if they can provide us with other help. If they wish to leave, we want to get info and coordinate their drop off with another organization (family even) to minimize KGB activity. If they have no one to coordinate with, sadly we insist on providing our protection for now (I can do a mission next turn to return them later).
Take our most eager new "recruits" on a tour of our local area and to prepare Mission 3 - “Home Turf Ambush - II”

Mission 3 - “Home Turf Ambush - II”
Total Manpower: 6 Recruits, 15 Civilians (most eager from Operation e-Partment)
Resource Distribution: 4 Recruits with 4 Assault Rifles, 2 Recruits with 2 Carbines, 4 Civilians with 4 Assault Rifles, 3 Civilians with 3 Carbines, 3 Civilians with 3 Shotguns, 5 Civilians with Pistols 27 Ammo Per Fight
Main Goal: Capture Supplies, Intelligence and Uniforms
Main Tactics: Urban Close Quarters Combat, Snipe Support, Inactive reinforcements
Notes: Take most eager volunteers (no more than 10) rescued. Pistol Civilians stand by to act on signal. Some face covering.
Spoiler Deets :
Similar to “Home Turf Ambush - 1”. We don’t have enough weapons I don’t think. The 5 Civilians with Pistols are to mix with the nearby crowd without face covering, to join the fight if things turn south. Otherwise, they are to observe and learn (possibly suss out collaborators).

Mission 4 - “Flag Futball”
Total Manpower: 6 Recruits, 15 Civilians
Resource Distribution: 4 Recruits with 4 Assault Rifles, 2 Recruits with 2 Carbines, 4 Civilians with 4 Assault Rifles, 3 Civilians with 3 Carbines, 6 Civilians with 6 Shotguns, 2 Civilians with Pistols, 31 Ammo Per Fight. 25 Credit’s Worth of American Flags and Flagpoles
Main Goal: Make a Statement
Main Tactics: Net and surround. Flag Symbolism in executions.
Notes: Keep eye on soviet readiness, as well as wear and tear of our own forces. Call off if necessary. Cover faces.
Spoiler Deets :
Spread out Shotgun and Pistol civilians in the connecting streets, to shoot soccer players attempting escape. Otherwise, straightfoward snipe and assault. We will shout at the soccer players to lay down and place their hands on their heads. We will secure them by shooting them if they resist or run. We will then execute them by planting a sharpened flagpole with an American Flag on it into their backs, nailing them into the turf. If they scream, good.

Our 6 recruits would have their 3rd operation. Make sure they’re feeling rested and pumped up before starting this operation. It’s OK to call it off if they’re not feeling well or up to it - no shame.

Mission 5 - Cyberinfiltration II - Credits Where Credit’s Due
Total Manpower: 5 Civilians
Resource Distribution: Computer Lab, 25 Credits as necessary, 5 Pistols as Necessary
Main Goal: Electronically Scout for Credit and Supplies
Main Tactics: Electronic Surveillance, research stepping stones for more advanced methods
Notes: Same computer lab people (other than those doing Soviet Operations, Materials Unknown)

EDIT: Secret Mission, should he Choose to Accept it
Steve Wozniak (Civilian Status) can keep in contact with the KGB, maybe even becoming a "Collaborator" false/double agent. Remember, true Communism is for the liberation of all mankind! Not their eternal slavery at the boot of capitalists (or worse) bureaucrats!

Question: What are the Red Crosses on the map?

EDIT: Might have spent wayyy too long on these XD 90 minutes XDXD
