Nation Mobilizes For War. Leon City, Nueva Leon. This month as seen the conscription and training of many new recruits for the nation of Nueva Leon. The nation has also bought many more military vehicles, as well. Reinforcements have been sent to some of the more rebel-friendly cities around the country, such as Punta Gorda, Bonita, and Valdez, to bolster defenses and intimidate the revolutionaries. It seems now General Archuleta, who for the past few months has been claiming the rebellions are of no real threat, is finally accepting the fact that these rebellions are a challenge to his leadership, and hes going to be doing something about it. However, the recent blocking of the de Soto River has upset the government of the Republic of de Soto, who demand Nueva Leon to withdraw the river blockade to allow their own river traffic through.
American Relief Forces Continue Tour Around Nueva Leon. El Cerrito, Nueva Leon. The US aid workers continued their tour of Nueva Leon this month, traveling from Punta Gorda to El Cerrito, narrowly missing the attack on Punta Gorda by just a few days. They ran into no trouble, and found El Cerrito to be fairly well off. They ended the month in El Cerrito, and plan to end next month in New Santiago.
The Battle For Punta Gorda. Punta Gorda, Nueva Leon. On the eighth of June, communist forces attacked and overran the defenses of the city of Punta Gorda. The United Republic of Punta Gorda, formerly the United Villages of Punta Gorda, attacked the remaining government forces in the north, while the Peoples Republic of Nueva Leon attacked the government forces in the south. From the months of propaganda and demoralizing attacks on convoys, the defenses quickly fell. The battle had only lasted three days, but on the fifth, fresh government troops arrived to retake the city. With much of the populace on the side of the rebels (those who did not want to be involved in the fighting had been warned of the attack before hand and fled) the rebel put up a stiff fight. Though they had only one tank and mostly peasant soldiers, they were able to hold off the government forces. However, the government troops did not retreat, but rather now have the city encircled, as well as the river blocked of all river traffic moving to the city. With the city now besieged, it seems only a matter of time before the defenders will have to surrender.

Rebels Continue Harassment In Valdez. Valdez, Nueva Leon. With the recent crushing of the communists around the city of Valdez, harassment of government troops and officials within the city has picked up once again. Seemingly random mortar attacks have been called in on government positions through the day and night, never on a predictable schedule, keeping the forces within the garrisons stressed and wary. Sporadic sniper fire has also inflicted a heavy toll on the government forces within the city, early this month the chief of police, while at lunch with the mayor in an outdoor café was killed by a snipers bullet, while another narrowly missed the mayor himself. This last killing has led to a crackdown by both police and military forces (the city has also seen a large movement of reinforcements) who are now not only enforcing a much more stricter curfew, but actively executing suspected rebels. Even with these heightened security measures, the sniping and artillery has not slowed down.
Casualty List:
Nueva Leon: -25 Paramilitary
FARC: -5 Farmers
The Lords Soldiers Gives Back To The Community, NLUS Attacks. Bonita, Nueva Leon. The continued fighting between the factions operating around Bonita has continued this month. While it seems The Lords Soldiers was content with helping the people in the various villages outside the city by building churches for them, NLUS soldiers continued to hunt their rivals down. In one village south of Bonita, while The Lords Soldiers men were building a church, unarmed, a truck full of NLUS soldiers attacked, slaughtering the men working on the church. It is unknown who tipped off the NLUS as to the location of the soldiers, but they were able to tell who it was. Sadly, a few villagers were killed in the attack, mostly village men helping with the building, but a few women and children were caught in the crossfire, too. Other, less notable skirmishes took place throughout the month, as the government built up their forces in the city, leaving the fighting to the NLUS. These attacks on The Lords Soldiers has turned many of the citizens of the surrounding villages against the NLUS, whom they see as nothing more then thugs working with the permission of the government, while those in Bonita still praise Alfonso Christobal and his continued efforts to bring peace to the region.
Casualty List:
NLUS: -10 Paramilitary
The Lords Soldiers: -15 Paramilitary
False Leads Exhaust Troops. Isabella, Nueva Leon. The hunt for el Movimiento de Libertad de Isla has continued this month, though it feels more like a wild goose chase then anything else. It seems every time the government forces in the city catch wind of a possible rebel base or camp, the location turns out to be false. This has exhausted and demoralized the troops, who must only be thinking they are facing a phantom menace out in the jungle, playing tricks with them, driving them crazy. No contact with the rebels took place this month, save for a few random burst from a machine gun through the bushes at government patrols, which have had no affect.
