Revolution #2

Dear Emperor Franz II
From Catherine II of the Russian Empire

We join you in calling for France to surrender. Also, please give us greater detail as to what you propose for Poland (PM me?)

King Henry I of Virginia is present. Let the party begin.

From: Republic of North Carolina
To: Virginia

We are interested in an agreement detailing terms of trade and customs between our two states. Would you be willing to negotiate such a matter?

From: Republic of North Carolina
To: South Carolina

Fellow Carolinians, we are interested in an agreement regarding trade and customs between our two states. Would you be willing to negotiate such a matter?

To: NY, PA, CT + DE
From: New Jersey

We would like to a quad-state area mutual trade pact to encourage devlopment, growth, foreign commerce and investment. Perhaps we could also include Delaware, we like to name it the Princeton Accords of Mutual Economic Devlopment (PAMED).

From Pennsylvania
To New Jersey

We can agree to such a pact.

To: New Jersey

TO: Austria & Anti-Revolutionary France Alliance
FROM: Bavaria

We will side with you against the evil that is taking France, so we will join your alliance!

To Austria, Russia, Bavaria
From Great Britain:

Welcome! If you should check with your ambassadors you will see you have been invited to the Second Coalition "social group"

Stating that my computer is being packed up as of now. I will not be in communication with any of you except a couple hours every day at work. I will not return until internet is up and running at my new apartment. As previously stated this could be as soon as Friday and as late as next Monday or Tuesday.

I could do with a diplomatic reply from New Hampshire, if possible, to my diplo earlier on the thread.

Displaying interest. I'm thinking Tunis, but I have some more reading and... politicking to do before it gets official.

Confirming Massachusetts.

To New York, New Hampshire
From Massachusetts

We believe a customs union, whereby our nations cease to levy tariffs on each other’s goods, and whereby our troops can move freely through all our states’ lands, would be in our best interests. With New York, the case for a customs union is obvious because otherwise both of our states will have extreme difficulty trading with and settling our regions of the Northwest Territory. With New Hampshire, we see that you have no substantial port and so we believe that you would clearly benefit through exporting your goods through Boston, and of course this would also cause Vermont merchants to trade more across your borders, giving you extra income from tariffs.

To the World
From Massachusetts

We wish to inform you that any ship that docks in Massachusetts’s ports but sells nothing in Massachusetts will have its harbour dues reduced by one third. Therefore, encourage your merchants to refuel at Boston on their trade journeys.

Treaty of Cheshire – A proposal to Connecticut which was provisionally agreed some time ago

Connecticut shall cede all its western reserve to Massachusetts.
Massachusetts shall, upon receipt of this western territory, cede the Hampshire County, and the Berkshire County, except the towns of Savoy, Cheshire, Adams, New Ashford, Williamstown, Adams, North Adams, Clarksburg, and Florida.
The signatories shall grant citizenship to their newly acquired subjects as if they had always been within their borders, and the signatories will not act in ways that favour their previous citizens over their newly acquired citizens.
This treaty shall be null and void unless all its terms are completed in full within a year.

This map illustrates the terms of the treaty.

Signed, His Excellency Governor Samuel Adams of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

OOC: This post hurts me in so many ways. How could Sam Adams betray Massachusetts like that. It's almost enough for me to put down his beer that I'm drinking right now.

Almost...

Almost...

OOC: Kentucky feels your pain also. We do so.

OOC: Connecticut did what I did in my run, except at a loss of bountiful territory and lack of terror.

Oh, Jacobite, if only I have had conquered you!

On a second note, I will much more tenacious this time around!

OOC: I wonder how many Coalition players think it's going to be an easy fight.

OOC: Okay for some reason I cannot send private messages on my new computer. Is there an alternate way that I can send orders EQ? And anyone who PM's me I need an alternate way to PM back, because I cannot type in the PM box even though I can post on the forum.

Maybe one of you know what's wrong?

I'd like to have Oman, thank you very much.

Also, I wonder if we could have a named map?

Re: Princeton Accords of Mutual Economic Devlopment

New York can accept such a promotion of economic support between our states.

To: Massachusetts
From: New York
CC: New Hampshire
Re: Customs Union

New York is open to favourable economic agreements between our nations however removing all tariffs between our states is perhaps too much at this time. Our governments budget is largely made up of tariffs. We would be more than willing to lower tariffs between our states to encourage growth and promise to look at further reductions in the future.

OOC: I wonder how many Coalition players think it's going to be an easy fight.

Of course its going to be easy. Its not like the French have a history of being a dominate land power around this time period.
