The Merchant Empire of Riccio assures its neutrality in the coming war, as its defense alliances do not become active in the event of invasion. It expresses its condolences for all the families and friendships to be torn apart by this bloody affair and hopes for a quick resolution.

In the meantime, the Corridore has sponsored a package in Firenze to open up countless more refugee camps in Riccese India and along the Adriatic Coast for Romans seeking shelter from the chaos. These camps are to be governed and operate in the same manner as the ones established along the length of Crete for Kuwaiti and Egyptian refugees.

The enemy of our enemy need not be our friend but we apologise for the comment; we are simply expressing the spread of the Dominion's mission to make Roman land be of the Dominion.

We are focus on our borders and hence will not disrupt Russia's drive.

The Roman Empire notes that it is a more Asian power than a European one, and it would be better served for the civilians of the area if the people were defended against the invaders of the brutal imperialists of the European Russian Empire. It is Russians who oppress the Chinese, not Romans. If the Inner Dominion of China does not rescind this declaration of war against the Roman Empire, we will all know that they are lying, evil imperialists.

Upon hearing this Siu Jing-sheng spoke to both the Inner Council and Outer Chamber on his decisions for aggression. He vocally went loud indeed.

...but among the Inner Council and Outer Chamber came a feeling the Middle Voice was being too war eager... and too powerful. With the stability of the Inner Dominion the Middle Voice could find himself disposed peacefully and quickly.

Was the claimant of the border lands necessary for the Outer Speeches and the prosperity of the Inner Dominion? Was it humanitarian as Siu Jing-sheng proclaimed? What ever the case Siu Jing-sheng may learn to let go of power the hard way...

OOC: I am considering rescinding the declaration of war. I was basically caught up in the storms of "declare war on Rome" etch. Should I finalise the rescinding (or keep to the war plan) it will indeed see Siu Jing-sheng replaced, either by a peaceful or "peaceful" Middle Voice.

What land did we steal? The Romans stole no land, it has merely settled in lands close to Russian lands. These lands are populated by Roman settlers, and the Roman government caters to their needs, as it does to the needs of all other Romans. You simply declared war without justification or reason, and are thus the imperialists, simply looking to take a bit out of the Roman Empire while it looks vulnerable.

The idea was to exploit a grave war by focusing on securing land and populace to be under Dominion protection, not to be outnumbered.

Any rate it is too late; we have committed to war and retreating our declaration is sadly out of the question. (OOC thanks to Sone's ruling). We are sorry about what we have to do.
