RFC: Rise of the Soviet Union

Yes, the allies are not pulling any of there own slack, so i get to do all the work, and get most of the rewards. I think Milan will end up French from culture, but i should be able to keep Rome and Palermo (I am going to Raze Pompeii/Naples so that Belgrade can use the clam. So far I captured northern Persia, Afganistan, Eastern Germany (Western half is covered in french culture), Poland, the baltic countries. Czechoslovakhungary (Austria is under Roman Culture) Constaniople, will occupy Athens next turn, and my stability only went up, so I think i should be able to Occupy even Spain, but i think northern spain would end up being french anyway. Damn French with their culture so high! If that happens, then we will have a communsit southern spain, and capitalist Northern Spain. Spanish Korean War anyone?

I love how the French culture created a West/East Germany! This is waaaaaaay too perfect!

Stability is a huge problem, as my Economy now can only come up cancel out the massive expanision instability, while my civics cancel out my cities instability. My foreign is making be instable because of all the wars. How do I increase my foreign stability? I am Freindly with 3 civs. Pleased with 3. Japan respawned and is furios with me, but no war. And the rest are at war with me. I thought Nationalism was suspose to give you better stability the more civs you are at war with. I am going to gift my captured Italian cities to France to see if that helps. Next turn my golden age is over so i am afraid i am goign to collaspe.

Well that acheive nothing, my expansion stability went up by 2, but my foreign went down by 2. I am going to give myself another golden age to keep the stability strong. I don't think i am going to be able to have a spanish Korean war. I am going to capture Rome, and give it to France. Then i will Have to improve my economy more by working the tiles i gained in Europe. I could however improve stability by giving myself Jails and Courthouses in all my capture cities! Okay i will do that.

I just love how in this story, it goes from VERY historical to a Soviet-dreamed paradise. :p

Police State will give you stability for everyone you're at war with, and its very Stalin.

I have police state/nationalism/slavery/state property/free religion/occupation
My stability for cities is bad
My stability for civics is zero
my stability for economy is very good
Expansion is very bad
My foreign is around -30. My economy cancels out all the bad stability except foreign.

I can't give you guys a Spanish Korean war, but i can give you an Italian Korean war, with Milan and Venice being french, and the south, Rome, Pompeii/Naples and Palermo being Soviet.

Anyway that won't be for awhile, this story is being put officialy ON HOLD until school ends. I might make an update before then, but don't count on it.

Oh ok, my only suggestion is to build up your security apparatus, build jails, SB's, courthouses and IA's in all your cities (do you have Democracy?), that will raise your city stability, and unhappily its also very Stalinist.

that would be the historic accurate thing to do :P

Rename yourself the Republic of England and then DoW the real England for stealing your name!

Now, ON topic:
I agree with trexric!

To add an official end to this story i will just make it up as a logical prediction of what would have happened. As I no longer have the save with me, i cannot continue.

Following the end of world war 2 the Soviet economy stalled because the workers were not encouraged by the war anymore. Spain stripped of its allies also suffered economic hardship. Relations deteriorated between the capitalistic powers and the soviet union. A massive stand off in Italy and Germany raised tensions. Instability rocked the soviet union and the only thing keeping it together was Stalin's sheer dictatorial will. When he died. The most powerful nation on earth disintegrated.

I could imagine that the dozens of barbarian tanks and productive capability would have done to the rest of the world
