An Australian dollar costs $0.68 US. So a $100 game in OZ would be priced about $68 in the US. A $6 big mac in OZ would be about $4.00 US.
It was a proxy mailing from Berkshire Hathaway. So he has at least one share. Friday's close was $312,524 per share. Income can be very misleading; net worth is better.
It could be, I did not open the mail and just passed it over to him. Class B shares are about $220. My point was that wealth and income are different and that low income does not mean low wealth. If my neighbor owns only class B shares he could be middle income and low wealth; or if he has 5000 shares of Class B he could be higher on the wealth scale. Owning any B-H stock points to some market savvy somewhere in his investment life.Sure it was a class A stock and not a class B? Class B shares can be had for a couple hundred bucks.
Sure it was a class A stock and not a class B?
Thanks. There you go, Class A shares.Class B are non-voting: no proxy.

Damn maybe it's time for them to stop *****ing about the cost of living all the damn time.
Australia and NZ the cost of living isn't that bad relative to wages.
Cost of rent and mortgages are exceptions.
Some things are really cheap, others expensive but I expect to pay more on most things due to.
1. Economy of scale.
2. GST
3. Import/shipping costs.
You can get a pizza for $2, gas is more expensive than USA, cheaper than Europe.
If you can buy a pizza for $2 you have literally nothing in your life worth complaining about.

In Albuquerque a large pizza (14") usually costs $10-14 depending upon what toppings you get. You can pay more.Yeah the pizza joints are having some sort or war. $3 NZD for a basic pizza ($2 USD).
Cheapest fast food in the country. Normal price is $5 NZD ($3.20 USD).
Extra large one plus side was $25 delivered though $15 usd approx).
Can a country really be considered free if the government doesn't subsidize pizza?
Mediums would be $8-10 about. Delivery is extra and discount coupons frequent; usually a second one for a few dollars off.14 inch would be XL for us.
18' ultra large and most places don't do that size.
