Rise And Fall Of Empires

This is kinda of an odd statement.

"Speak softly and carry a big stick." Not "Demand politely and say you'll come back with a stick later."

Well, it's a warning. I obviously can't invade now, but I can invade next turn (I believe? How fast do navies travel?).

That, and I end up rambling on and adding random thoughts that shouldn't be there in a lot of posts.

Does the zone they're in count as one zone for travel? If so, it'll take 2 turns to ship an army over... If not, 1 turn.

EDIT - I just realized posting my warplans in the thread is stupid, and I'm going to edit out what I can.

EDIT2 - Sonereal quoted me. :( Whatever, I have allies! None shall stand in our path!

Can someone put the new world map in an attachment so I can use it?

I sense a war brewing in the southwest as Trinity seems to be a new spot of tension.

What is this "Right Click" thing? Computers only have one mouse button (I don't know why everyone else seems to think differently," so can you translate that to one mouse button language, LH?
(That wasn't supposed to be mocking, just asking a question in a funny way)

Um..... mouse?

Control click is the right mouse key on one-button Macs.

You Mac users are one button freaks who have a higher priced, but about the same quality experince, as a Windows user. :p

EDIT: To make this legit.

Mech, You have over 3/4 of the continent to yourself. You're making it much bigger deal than it should be.

But you're right next to his capital. You know, the place that if you take, he loses half of his factories. Can you see why he's concerned?

Richmond was around 100 miles away from Washington. We have experience with capitols, and how well defended they are. He's overreacting.

It seems like the world is mostly filled with the worship of machines or the atom, split between the nations who follow nanotech or nucleartech, respectively. The fact that most nations turned technology into a religion is frightening, for it will eventually drive the two sides to conflict.

At least, that's what the sermons in the Northern Confederacy frequently state. When the Confederacy was shoved into this world, they took their religion with them. Christianity is the most frequent religion practised, with over 80% officially identifying themselves to a christian church (How much are really religious is another story). However, outside of the Confederacy, it is considered a strange religion. The world, as they say, was not made in six days, nor could Jesus possibly be able to turn water to wine, or walk on water, or resurrect in three days.

However, the pilgrimage only strengthened belief. Surely God did create man in his image, for man exists in Cristos, just like on Earth. But this raised even more questions of faith. Did God create all these worlds in six days? The same six days? Will the second coming of Christ possibly happen here? Religious scholars continue to look at the Bible for answers to this day.

What religion to you follow?

Suggested Techpaths? (Just going to list off 3 techs that might be researchable, there would probably be a lot more in a full-blown techtree.)

$50 Improved Medicine (20% chance on infantry unit death for it to revive at 20% strength)
Biotech - $40 Medic (1IP/$15, heals a unit for 10% every turn out of combat. Noncombatant support unit)
$35 Reguvinating Armor - (Infantry heal themselves 20% every turn out of battle)

$50 Battlefield Repair (20% chance on mechanized unit death for it to revive with 20% strength)
Nano - $40 Nanobots (1IP/$20, repairs all damage done to a mechanized unit in or outside of combat, the Nanobot is consumed when used. )
$35 Improved Nanobots (Nanobots now can be used twice before being destroyed)

$50 Nuclear Power Plant (Receives one more IP from factories that are upgraded to Nuclear Power Plants. NPP costs $10 to upgrade)
Nuclear - $55 Nuclear Mutants (3IP/$40, a shocktrooper unit that is very expensive, but deals high damage and recieves very little)
$60 Nuclear Powered Vehicles (Increases mobility of all mechanized units by 1, increases all unit's ammo by 1)

$35 Improved Artillery - (Artillery ignores 1 resil.)
Conventional - $40 Heavy Tank (4IP/$20, strong, relatively expensive tank used to support sea-to-land invasions as a stormtrooper)
$60 Industrial Revolution - (Increases IP output of effected factories by two, but costs double the NPP)

Well omega...the "papal states...hmm I wonder what religion the POPE believes in?

Well omega...the "papal states...hmm I wonder what religion the POPE believes in?

Christianity is a religion only followed by one nation, who isn't even native to this land (Who are Protestant, no less!). It wouldn't really make much sense for a Christian Papal state.

Clarification on production: Money is used to build factories and research techs. Industry is used to build units. YOU DO NOT REQUIRE BOTH. Unused IP is converted into money and doubled.

Example:
Papal States has 15IP and $30.
Papal States builds Dreadnought using 10IP. Papal States contructs 4 infantry using 4IP, with one left over.
Papal States builds 6 factories with $30.
Spare IP is converted to $2.

Next turn, Papal States has 21 IP and $2.
