Can't hide the fact that am 61 (for another month).....retired DJ and been playing Civ off and on since Civ II.... just learning Civ IV and BTS. Play on the easy levels cause I like building and developing more than warfare.

34, heavy equipment operator and 4th class operational engineer.

Been playing Civ since the first one, always a great way to spend some time.

20, doing a BSc in Physics. Could be doing a bit better, but it's not exactly an easy subject to take.

I started playing Civilization at CivIV.

42, engineer/airport designer.

I bought my 1st computer after seeing Civ back in '92.

Eighteen. Freshman at University.

Actually, I quite fancy Lemon Merchant ;) If she looks like her avatar that is ;(

27, online poker player. One more semester for my Marketing degree, but I've been procrastinating on that, and on starting my eventual MBA.

Started with Civ 2 back when it came out (along with MOO II!), didn't care for 3 much, but Civ 4 and all its expansions have been my crack. 4 tabling + Civ 4 ftw! :D

27 Banker/Prof Musician

Started playing Civ when Civ I came out on Super Nintendo. Didn't actually get into it until I played Civ II over at my buddies in '95 or '96. Every since then I have bought and played every Civ game and expansion. If you'd like to check out my music head to www.myspace.com/droppedonce

You're not kidding. Before I changed majors I was in Biomedical Engineering. I got pretty far - all the calc based physics, diff eq, statics, etc etc. I was low thyroid at the time and didn't know it, so it was hell.

If you're around/over a 3.0 in a major like that it's like having over a 3.6 or 3.7 in most other majors...but it's such rewarding material to know for some reason. Even as much as I hated all those homework problems, I'm still glad I took that stuff before I switched majors :p.

Well there goes our pirate ship. :)

Is that a ship launched? If so she rates at least one milli-Helen (standard unit of female beauty, Helen of Troy launched 1000 ships) ;)

EDIT: Her avatar floats my boat so I guess that makes her 2mHelens at least.

I'll arrive late to this party...

I'm 27 and in the home stretch of my math PhD program. I study pure math though, not applied, so I only understand whipping in theory.

I started playing Civ IV in 2007 when I read a review for BTS. I picked up the Gold edition and then got BTS for Christmas.

40, and I work in publishing/advertising - specifically in medical journals.

Playing since CivII days - some of my work with the first even succession games still archived in the CivII forum.

If I see the words "Lemon Merchant" "pirate ship" and "galley wench" in the same sentence here, you guys are going to be in serious trouble. :p

@ParadigmShifter:
milli-Helens. Nice concept. Kind of nice that I'm worth 2. Thank you.

@Charonicus:
Me? Diplomat? Please. :lol:

44, attorney, mostly handling environmental and construction litigation

I've played a variety of PC games over the years. I started with CIV III a couple of years before CIV IV came out and then switched to CIV IV. I mostly just play the GOTM and BOTM monthly competitions through this site, which is all I have time for given RL concerns (wife, 3 kids, job) and sometimes don't complete those.
