NES= Never Ending Story.
BUT....
1. This is a Board NES. You can write stories, but they wont have ANY impact on the game at all.
2. This will and should end. Hopefully when someone wins, and not when everyone quits.
3. Read the Rules, without them there is no game.
Map
I typed in "Game Map" into google, and used the first map i liked that i found. had to clean it up though.
There are 46 Playable areas on the map. there are also forests and mountains which are basicaly not used in this game. The roads leading through mountains and forests DO connect the areas they end in.
Armies are represented on the map as Balck Squares, they always belong to the player who's color the Area is filled in with.
Joining
Pick an area to start in.
Pick what color you want to be (red, green, light blue and so on)
Economy
Each Area you own provides you with 3 "gold" each turn. Any gold not spent is saved for you for next turn.
Acquiring Armies
Each Army costs 2 gold to build and 1 gold/turn as upkeep. Each province can only produce 1 new Army per turn. so when you want a new army, tell me which province(s) is building the army, and that is (are) the provinces that will have armies added to them. If you do not specify where an army is bought (or try to buy two in one area) I will pick where to put them.
Moving Armies
Every turn every army you own can move to any area adjacent to one its in. this includes going through a forest or mountain via a road. Armies CAN move the turn they are bought.
Getting into a Battle
All fighting is to the death (or destruction of the army), no retreats or anything like that.
If armies of different players end the turn in the same area, they fight. If one player sends armies from area A to area B while the other player sends armies from area B to area A (ie attacking eachother), the armies will fight "between" the two areas and only the winner will go on to their destination (the loser is dead).
Deciding a Battle
For every army you have in a Battle, I will flip a coin. Every "heads" coin means you've killed an enemy army, "tails" means that army missed". Both (all)sides throw at same time, no attacker advantage or anything. If both sides have surviving armies, they all throw again. This repeats till one side (or both) is completely destroyed.
(i wont actualy throw coins, i have a computer do this for me, but its just as random, and no coins landing on their edges
).
More then two sides to a battle make for VERY much blood
If 3 or more nations have armies in the same area, the "defending" side (the one who controls the area) is considered to be fighting all the other sides at the start. so all "attackers" hits kill an army of the defender. once there are no defenders left, the "Attacker" with the most armies left becomes the "defender" and fights against all the other attackers (ties for biggest are decided by random number).
Updates
I am hoping that this game will go fast, like maybe an update every other day or so... but it depends on how quickly i get orders from the players. as a general rule, updates will be done within 24-36 hours of me getting the second to last orders. So last person to send them has 24 hours after that point, and i give myself a 12 hour window to do it in.
Sending Orders
I suggest PMing orders to me, cause if you post them in the thread others might take advantage of knowing where you're moving armies to and what you're leaving undefended.
In your orders i need to know the following things:
1. Which Areas are you buying armies in. (remember only one each, so you can just list the area names)
2. From where to where are you sending aremies.
Players (i never learned the names of colors, so i may be wrong about the colors here)
Erik Mesoy - Avalon - Red
ThomAnder - Uxworth - Yellow
Erez87 - Warwick - Dark Purple
Tossi - Leicester - Blue
Warman17 - Cair Gai - Green
Emu - Sussex - Gray
Disenfrancised - Manchester - Purple
TerrisH - Northueber - Pink
