Role Play Challenge, TNG: Julian Assange, WikiCivilization

We can use the gold slider as much as we want. If Julian wants to get enormous wealth via the slider and buy techs that is certainly fine, however I think espioange is more efficent and truer to the RPC spirit.

Julian isn't above buying info.

More like, if the AI techs too slowly (and if you set up the EP -modifiers, it WILL tech too slowly), you won't have much else to do with it.

I'm up to ~505 AD myself in recordings but will wait to start airing it until my THREE ongoing LPs have at least some concluded...

2E of copper gets you said copper, 2 elephants, silk, good production, fresh water, and flood plains.

Is the water west of Wiki_Uruk coast or lake? I'd consider 1W of pigs (possibly 2W) as a quick filler city, but that's a personal playstyle bias.

First, where the second WikiSummeria city goes

I'm thinking the best spot is on the western elephants. These choose leader things confuse me, so I guess it turns out you're not creative, but it's still a decent spot. Get a monument up quickly and you'll have copper and pigs. Sometime later you can plant a city in between this one and wiki-uruk that can work gold and pigs.

Question about the spirit of this RPC. Are we going to be allowed to rush? That's a lot of neighbors and land can fill up fast and we have copper...

Also, what to research next????

I vote mysticism for monuments, AH for the pigs, and then go straight for code of laws and some spies!

But I think the most important question is whether to commit WikiUruk to conctruct the Great Wall with chopping help from the worker, or develop the nation more with roads and settlers???

Your first two city sites are both good. I say build the great wall. With chops it shouldn't come too slowly and both cities will be able to put out some settlers and workers quickly after that.

A rush is definitely allowed, but there is a lot of land so far and I have not met an AI.

Assage has Zigs which need only priesthood and not Code of LAws.

Well awesome blossom to both of those things.

No neighbors are too close, but I've definitely thought that before and then had land disappear from under me, plus rushing is fun.

I forgot that about the Ziggs. Go ahead and switch my CoL vote to Priesthood then. Yay for early courthouses.

They're not just early courthouses, they're early, 45P courthouses. That's less than a barracks, slightly more than a worker. That's a pretty good substitute for the great wall for the GS GPPs.

I like corn+stone blocker and fp's+gold+silk+phants blocker (deeper south on the river).
Spare those pigs for the western coast +gold city.

Actually I would probably build another settler now to place those 2 blockers to get those city spots.

I have to agree with this.

The only reason to get the Great Wall would be for roleplay reasons.

By the time I get stone hooked up with a city/road quary someone else will have built it. Best to simply chop it out.

Zigs are pretty cheap, but even cheaper with the ORG trait!

I\d say, skip the great wall, settle 2 more cities end go for pyramids, to have +:science: spies with representation/

Techs - CoL

Cities - 2nd - on an elephant, to have copper and pigs in BFC, whip monument. You need coper as soon as possible - I can't even imagine what can psycho Monty do with Immortals.

Third - Fill the gap between these two cities - pig/gold city

So you will get: 1 strategic resource, 2 luxury res. (at this stage elephants are more lux than strat)

4th - corn/ stone and Pyramids

I have to agree with this.

Anti-barb om a map script that tends to give too much land while he hasn't met a lot of people yet? Faster 1st and 2nd great spy by a significant margin?

Stone-discounted Gwall is a worth consideration with or without the super cheap courthouses.

IMO pyramids actually hurts the spirit of the LP a bit and will give us engineer POLLUTION :p.

I haven't shadowed an RPC in almost half a year or so. Time to change that...except I'll probably make videos of this rather than do a writeup
Do you have a post somewhere that says how you make your videos? The free stuff my family currently knows about can't record both game sounds and microphone at the same time.

Camstudio doesn't although there are a few workarounds (use a separate sound recording software, or use speakers to output game sounds and a mic to input).

Julian Assange, WikiCivilization: Learning the ABCs of Espionage

The settler was finished, masonry researched the primitive way of learning it for oneself, and the next technology decided. Julian has a major concern in his growing empire though, the ladies are all fleeing into the wilds apparently to get away from him.

Assamge grins, smirks, and orders the construction of

The Great wall. Sure it will keep the Barbarians out, but more importantly it will keep all the women in!!!

With the eatra happiness Julian can use more citixans to quicken the pace

Resulting in

While this was done, the second Wiki city was founded, WikiAmsterdam, in honor of the beutiful and fair Hatshepsut even if the lady cringes everytime Julian comes near. While no screenshot, suffice to say that it was founded on the Elephants southeast of the copper resource.

Research followed Pottery/Animal husbandry/archery/writing/sailing/meditation/priesthood/alphabet.

Meanwhile, Assange assured that his women stay where he feels they should be

As times are good the people (er, the men) are perfectly fine with this arrangement to keep their leader "amused".

After animal husbandry we find that

horses are nearby.

Now Julian is having a slight problem with the ladies, apparently furs and ivory are not enough, so he orders the city of WikiConstantinople to be built to capture the gold.

Perhaps an ill-placed city as we cannot get a city to eploit that gold and corn to the west, but an off-shore island would suffice just fine.

We also start seeing the borders of some of the enemy leaders.

Montezuma's Persians are settling along the great east/west river, something Julian had his eye on. Nevertheless, there is still plenty of land to be had.

Quickly the first Great Spy is born

And Scotland Yard is built, doubling the espionage that is directly towards the Persians.

With the discovery of

PLEASE NOTE, WE CAN BUILD ZIGS NOW AND DO NOT NEED CODE OF LAWS!

At this point the Wikicivs have a choice on what to research next

Iron Working is certainly a decent choice but seeing we have coppr and no jungle in our main core we opt to move ahead and research alphabet.

The next city established is wikiTeheran

Yes, yes an Iranian name for the Persian Aztecs, but it is more current and I can never remember the name of the true Persian capital.

After the capital builds it's Ziggerat, we see

Eps are rolling in already, especially with a spy specialist running.

Now the might east/west river was a colonization target, but unfortunately a Barb city popped up in a bad location and we were forced to adjust settlement.

Also note that the Romans are due south and Suliman has "enough on his hands". Not to fear Julian is building an army of vultures to destroy the arrogant Barbarians and defend against any Roman or Persian attacks (and perhaps cause some mischeief ourselves.)

Finally

And the science slider is shut off, replaced by the espionage slider.

The next tech

Is pretty irrelevant and we saved here deciding what to do next.

At the moment all espionage is directed against Monty.

However at 57 eps/turn we can easily redirect and still steal something from Monty (or perhaps direct it towards war!).

Technology shows that

we can easily acquire iron working from DeGaulle, Monty, or Suliman and then trade it to Hatty for polytheism. Or of course we could steal it but that requires a spy, travel, and room and board.

Another view shows

The doomed Barbarian city. With no need of libraries Assange plans to pump out a very stronge military.

The city espionage output

The next Great Spy should allow another city to really pump out eps with a Scotland Yard.

So for now it's a matter of what to do??? I think Julian should expand, expand, expand
like crazy and use his army after the horns of war are blown.

He also has yet to open borders, do we really want this???? Or whould we hold off until the gold slider hits 100% and the soldiers strike???

ha! I see the endless possibilities now... steal MC from hatty...steal math from degaulle .... oh it seems like fun! should try it too...

btw you decided not to use science specs at all?

Why did you place WikiAmsterdam there? I could be wrong, but in my opinion, it's a very bad location (not up to your usual standards :p). So, enlighten me, oh lord Ass Ange(l)!

Shadow 215BC
Spoiler :
I SIP, went Hunting > Fish > Mining > BW > Mason > Myst (messed up by not going Myst>Mason) > AH > Sailing > Writing > Pottery > Med > Priest > IW > Alpha

Built worker > warrior x3 > settler > worker > ??? forgot after that
Found Wang to the east so I built around 10-11 vultures and declared on him, took his iron/Conf holy city, razed another bad location spot. Need to take peace to build up to finish him out.
Spoiler :
Capital with settled GSpy and SY

Got the 3 stone wonders

World

Need to refine my techs and build some though

It was to exploit the most out of the river. I am unconcerned how it works later, for the immediate future of getting the copper, happiness from the Jumbos, and a few cottages to speed along research for the worker techs it suffices. Plus I wanted to plant many cities, espionage means we can max out the gold slider if we like, those Scotland yards give us a lot of mileage from just spies and Zigs.
