Official Statement on the War Between the Forces of Good and the United States of America:

Okay so you probably have guessed that I am siding with the Namibians in regards to the war. I'm not going to offer anything more than moral support, I am way too busy and poor to make any meaningful contribution to the war. However, I noticed a lot of incorrect statements in the thread and a true ninja cow never rests when someone on the internet is wrong. I will go through the various criticisms of the war and debunk them.

The Cult Condemns the Barbarity of Nambia. It is clearly lead by a madwomen, thinking the horrors of war is just to depose a democratically elected regiem, tyranical though it may be. We only hope and pray that she botches the War roll, and gets an unruly populace as a result.

Okay so first of all, why do you care if the United States is democratic? Its not like you are a democracy. But, leaving that aside, the United States is clearly not a democracy. In the stats they aren't even listed as a democracy.

Government: Fascist single-party state

If you don't believe me you can go check. Their actions in-thread don't make them seem very democratic either.

History:

After the end of the war against the Eternal Kingdom and the restoration of freedom in the US, Eric Trump was elected new President of the US with Mike Pence as Vice-President. He was soon assassinated. After his assassination, chaos ensued as anti-establishment conservatives and the Alt-Right blamed the assassination on mainstream conservatives. A paramilitary force of Trump's supporters, Alt Right supporters and part of the army moved into Washington DC and overthrew the government. The Democratic Party was banned and the Republican Party was purged of mainstream conservatives. Thousands were killed. Christos Antonopoulos, libertarian intellectual, GOP fundraiser and billionaire, was appointed President while Mike Pence remained Vice-President. Milo Yiannopoulos too joined the new government while Steve Bannon was appointed White House Chief of Staff and Rand Paul was made Secretary of Treasury. Ron Paul was appointed to the new office of Department of Occurings, which has replaced the abolished Departments of Labor, Education and Energy. Nigel Farage came from UK and became Presidential Advisor. PewDiePie was appointed YouTube Minister to spread the US government's ideas to the internet while Paul Ryan became GOP's Chairman.

Several states revolted against the new administration and courted the support of Canada and Mexico. The US Army crushed those revolts and made gains against both Canada and Mexico but Alaska, Hawaii and other territories were lost. With order restored, Christos began a political program of tax cuts for the rich, deregulation of the market and deportation of refugees and illegal immigrants and a ban on migration. Although USA is still officially a Republic, all parties aside from the GOP have been banned. A 'Secret Police' has been established and is led by one Anakin Skywalker, who follows an old religion and claims to be a 'Sith' sorcerer. Whether this is true or not, his killing record and ruthlessness are facts no one can deny.

I condemn the communists for thier attack on christos. This is an attack with no valid Cassius bellium and an unjust one.

Doesn't she thinks she needs, casus belli? Oh how impolite indeed, no casus belli!

Custerfield believes that Nambia does not have a valid casus belli. Omega124 clarified later that their casus belli was to topple the horrific fascist regime, but apparently Clusterfield believes that to be an invalid casus belli as they have not shifted on their stance. While this is purely a matter of opinion, I believe that punching warring fascists is a-okay.

I don't consider condemning attacks to be breaking neutrality.

That is literally the definition of breaking neutrality!

Conclusion:

While we disagree with Nambia on many things (all genders are valid you plebs), they are correct in attempting to destroy the unjust Antonopoulos regime. While we are not a democracy, we don't "purge" people for disagreeing with us or breaking some pact that nobody agreed to. The United States does. It also employs some of the most deplorable people in the world, who wear that fact with pride. Top ranking government officials use homophobic slurs in official government communication (and no, just because you are gay doesn't make it okay to use it in such a casual manner Milo). It also runs a secret police that has killed thousands, perhaps tens of thousands, for not agreeing with the government. The United States is easily one of the worst places in the world and we are glad that Namibia is taking it upon themselves to make that part of the world a better place. While we cannot offer meaningful assistance, this war gets the official NinjaCow64-Seal-of-Approval and we will be cheering for you on the sidelines, Namibia.

In regards to the North American War, the Democratic People's Republic of Norrland-Sápmi takes a similar stance for similar reasons as the Australian Capital Territory has outlined in their Official Statement on the War Between the Forces of Good and the United States of America. We do not have the capacity to take any actions to aid the war effort, but offer this statement of support for our Namibian comrades as they march to dismantle the oppressive American regime.

To: Chirstos Antonopoulos, President-for-Life of the United States of America
CC: Diplomat Pauline Hanson

***** please, I wasn't condemning you for being undemocratic. I was merely explaining why you weren't democratic. Maybe I should make this explicit - I am not condemning you for being a dictatorship, I am condemning you for being a fascist state that prosecutes innocents for the "crime" of daring to disagree with your ridiculous ideology, something very few other states do.

Saber smites the unworthy,

NinjaCow64, Prime Minister for Life of the Australian Capital Territory.

Due to several players' actions, the map will require more time than originally anticipated, and depending on how real life pans out the update may not air until the weekend. Anyone with outstanding orders is still free to post before then.

Yeah, I will maintain my neutrality, whether people think I am neutral or not. And "attacking fascists" isn't a valid Casus belli (christos isn't a facist regime) but I don't see my self being able to convince people who think it is since they seem firmly set in their opinion so I'm not going to try to. And since so many people complained I will allow diplomats into my country however I retain the right to reject individual countries diplomats and accept others.

christos isn't a facist regimes.

The Washington regime is not doing a good enough job making this argument, especially with their enabling of the Alt Right Neo-Nazis with the Breitbarters and a observation of their deployment.

. And since so many people complained I will allow diplomats into my country however I retain the right to reject individual countries diplomats and accept others.

You seem to have no idea what neutrality is, especially as you have demonstrated to, not in fact, be neutral.

Rejecting diplomats, a practice we not done with the US still by the way, is the opposite of being neutral and is indeed a abnormal practice in international relations.

Be open that your not neutral! Be open and not have your existence be behind a mask.

OK, can we stop with this semantic see-saw? Everyone has argued their side to death and Sniiperman has stated plainly he's not going to budge, so further debate will only clutter the thread.

POLITICAL PARTIES IN THE VOLKSREICH

Kaiserliche sozialistische Partei - TOTALIST - The ruling party of the Volksreich. While not Totalist in the normal sense, the KSP does organize itself around the Kaiserin and are bent on continuing the current system with a powerful head of state and continuing the transition of the Volksreich into a socialist economy. Can be seen as the Socialist opposite of an Authoritarian Democrat party.

Spartakusbund - SYNDICALIST - The Spartakusbund is the syndicalist wing of die Linke, they were originally a break off of the SPD. The Spartakusbund is best described as Luxembourgian and advocate for direct workers control of industry, and the expansion of the Oberster Sowjet to be the primary legislator for the entirety of the Volksreich.

die Linke - RADICAL SOCIALIST - The Left as a whole is more democratic, and prefer to preserve the current separation of state and economic control, and seek more to gradually unite the two. Die Linke would prefer to not have a Monarchy as a whole, but are happy to work with the KSP, the Kasierin, and other socialist nobility so long as they are comrades in the fight against capitalism.

Sozialdemokratische Partei - SOCIAL DEMOCRAT - They killed Rosa Luxemburg. Also seek to make capitalism less bad with heavy reforms. They are well known and an old party, but their power has been waning since the establishment of the Volksreich.

die Grünen - SOCIAL LIBERAL - Want more Social reforms and to create a more ecological state, but in many ways seek to continue the capitalist system.

Freie Demokratische Partei - MARKET LIBERAL - The Free Democratic Party is most similar to American Libertarians, they seek to establish a Laissez faire economic system within the Reich and create a government that mostly stays out of people’s lives.

Christlich Demokratische Union - SOCIAL CONSERVATIVES - the CDU seeks to keep Germany somewhat christian. While all manner of faiths and lack there of are supported in the Volksreich, the CDU wants to encourage christianity specifically, and to uphold christian values within a democratic system.

Tradition und Leben - AUTHORITARIAN DEMOCRAT - The Tradition and Life party seeks to reform the Volksreich into a more classical Kaiserreich direction, with a powerful monarch, and an elected Parliament. They support giving the Kaiserin more power, however for the most part they are relatively friendly with the current establishment, as in many ways the Volksreich is similar to the system they wish to establish, albeit with less socialist rhetoric.

Magische Rechte Partei - PATERNAL AUTOCRAT - the Magical Rights party seeks to expand the power of the magical elements of the Volksreich. They see themselves as superior to all other non magical peoples of the Volksreich. They are heavily supported by the magical Aristocracy and for some reason the Sylvanian representatives to the Reichstag always come from this party.

Nationaldemokratische Partei - NATIONAL POPULIST - Expansionist, Fascist, and Pan - German. Only officially illegal party.

So this week was what the Brits would call a "bloody disaster" in multiple regards, so at this point the best I can offer is When It's Done™.

Quick orders: invest in and expand the volksreich's economic capabilities by investing in the creation of more cooperatives.

Mostly Intelligence Beings
Sapient Species on Terra, Indigenous and Otherwise

By Aspasia Kontos, court scholar of King Leon II of Crete

Demon: transdimensional beings characterized by physical brutality and connections to the twisted dimensions beyond the mortal. The only known demon to be currently physically manifested on Earth is the entity known as Steve Bannon, though rumours of demonic activity have emerged at least in response by the demons realms to the dark Elder God interference on Earth and by practices of magic users usually seeking access to demonic mastery in some form.

Dragons: transcendental mystical beings with heavy association with magic. beings with awesome form, mind and spirit. Though they share a reptilian nature they tend to be so diverse that calling them a single species would be misleading. Tend to have connective to magic (from a almost natural ability to breath fire to master of the weather to immunity to magic to even dimensional travel) as well as the ability of flight. Tend to be bigger than most other forms of creatures and feast on magic itself, although some are infamous for enjoying the taste of flesh.

Faes/Fair Folk/Faeries/Elves: more of a collection of species that handle the similar name these beings seem to have be native to both Earth and Spíti simultaneously. They have rainbow barrage of skin colours and bizarre faces that only the alien humans seem to share features with. Many are tiny and many have wings, often of a butterfly nature but bat and bird wings have been shown among. They appear to have a natural linkage to magic. On Earth they are associated with many parts, including the British Isles (especially the Isle of Man), the Nordic countries and Germany. Legends of elven trickery are rampant.

Faxumites: the term for beast folk that have emerge in what is the Faxumite Empire. We have to do more research on these species, with our only understanding is from the culture of the Faxumite.

Harpies: bird winged-armed humanoids with beakish features and taloned feet from Spíti. The species has elements of sexual dimorphism, with females being larger, stronger, deeper voices and more beakish faces while males tend to be lighter, more high pitch voices and have more colourful feathers akin to a peacock.

Humans: native creatures to Earth, a portion of whom came to Spíti during the p periods of connectivity between the worlds. Biologically compared to other species they are medium sized, a limited colour supply, haired only in certain areas and physically considerable these creatures are a minority in many nations. They seem to naturally not have a connective nature towards magic but it can be developed

Goblins: these are small, gnarled people. Their skin varies from dirty green, cyan, to dark red. Their teeth are sharp, their ears and noses pointy, and clawed fingers. They tend to have a significant natural colour pallet when it comes to their hair. Goblins sre incredibly adaptive, and able to live comfortably in harsh environments, from swamps to deserts, and even underground caverns. The are also incredibly unstable, almost always placing pleasure over rationality.Native to Spíti; humours of hidden goblin communities on Earth that are hidden are heard of.

Gorgons: snake-like creatures with a reptilian humanoid torso and a large snake tail for the prime of its body. The "hair" of the gorgon are essentially snake like tentacles with craws on the end. Native to Spíti they do however have their origins linked to Greece.

Meme Man: research on this mystical being is needed; all we know is that this type of creature has unusual magical properties that seems to be beyond even the more senior of magical scholars. Perhaps this being is one of the ancient Celestials, the ancestors of both angels and demons alike, that once witness the creation of the universe?

Minotaurs: Bos taurus humanoids. They are tall and strong with hot tempers but also bizarrely good maze navigation.Though mainly of Spíti the origin of the species is associated with Crete and the mythological legends.

Orcs: boar tusked creatures from Spíti with lots of testosterone; results in lots of muscle and aggression, bounded by the honour of many orc cultures and the tendency to find none-warring ways of expressing aggression like sport. Note that not all orcs have these restraints. They tend to have greenish, bronze, reddish or cyanic skin with black, red, golden or silver hair.

Pillar: strange mystical beings connected to the Meme Man. They claim to be endless; possible connection to angels.

Sentient Sea Monster: they come in vary of forms; the only notable we know in Earth is AA.

Troglodytes: an ancient reptilian species of short underground dwellers from Spíti. Naturally blind they use advance sonar styled hearing and smell to navigate.

Trolls:s tone-skinned creatures even larger than ogres, slow both physically and in reproduction. One of the oldest races in Spíti. Despite their brutish strength and size they seem to have a naturally calmness to them.

What about pillars and what about AA though?

The new players are mostly written up, although the units get figured out at the end. Once again, the biggest hurdle is "now connect all these lines with RL roadways".

Haven't even rolled for the American War yet, so that could wind up an adventure in itself.

Contact DoubleA though CFC. Like he's right there, I talked to him last week.
2: What were you using, the Wayback Machine? CFC's servers were lost in the EKNC conquest. In fact, now that I think about it, a whole lot of digital infrastructure got fried in that war... do we even still have an Internet?? All countries except Majterre and the Bunker lose 30% wealth taxable due to the sudden regression of global communications.

TAKE THE 3RD AND 4TH EVANGELISTS COMPANIES ALONG WITH ME TO CONVERT THE PEOPLE OF THE PLATINUM HORDE.
13 (11): Infiltrating the Mongolian border, you corner a cavalry formation and ask if it has accepted the wonders of Minimalism into its life. Mongolian 20th Cavalry Regiment gains 10% sympathy to the Cult of Minimalism.

Pass a law, giving people the right to elect the senate. 100 seats available to be elected. three primary parties are created: on the left is the liberal party. on the center is the Conservative party. on the right is the Nationalist Party.
12 (15): It's not exactly a free vote since you're the one that formed the parties, but at the very least it should provide a second opinion to the court from people that know the situation on the ground. +1 Statecraft; three new parties in Istanbul: Liberal (34%), Conservative (33%), Nationalist (33%).

Do that weird thing I said to get people to pay me money out of adoration (and then sue anyone who doesn't).
14: Greatly appreciating your initiative to maintain a stable hydrology so the GM doesn't have to hire a team of oceanographers to plot coastal erosion, all NPC states pay in tree fiddy for operational expenses. All player countries that have not paid their dues are billed $3.50 at 1% interest/turn.

Our action is to enact the above treaty and its policies with the Faxumite Empire
20 (17): For an establishing foreign policy, it seems you're only a few steps short of a joint state. Abolishing virtually all economic and political borders will certainly make integration easier—for better and worse. +3 diplomacy, -3 casus belli, +2 trade, -2 regulation and -3 ideological defence with Faxum; Faxum automatically receives 25% of scientific research; 25% chance major Faxumite economic events will spread to Majterre.

Move to peacefully disarm SPD forces in London - only fire if absolutely necessary.
10: Try as they might, local police simply cannot convince SPD loyalists to stand down. In fact, the report says it seems less out of obstinacy and more a collective zone-out, to the point Pearl considered simply walking up and taking the guns, but decided that might constitute "provocation".

Technocratic Republic of Rationalia
7: For a state priding itself on the supremacy of reason, observation, and peer review, the decision to erect the Ivory Tower in the heart of a reactionary battlefield would seem... illogical. Baghdad is less a bastion of knowledge so much as a citadel against the dogmatists lurking beyond. Now, a lesser man might claim your "smug atheism" and contempt for history makes you little more than the nonviolent mirror-image of Daesh—but he's just jealous he was one-thousandth of a percent short of a passing score.

NATIONAL OUTLOOK

Philology: No matter how much the MBA grads and their mentors push their propaganda, you know knowledge for its own sake is still a worthy pursuit. +10 Science/turn, and +20% interest on end-of-turn Science surplus.
Doctrine of Reason: Of course the world would be better off if everyone understood its foundational principles, but dismissing the opposition as 'idiots' isn't exactly conductive to lasting dialogue. +2 diplomacy with fellow technocracies, -1 diplomacy with everyone else; +1 diplomacy in scientific initiatives; +3 ideological defence.
Doctrine of Peace: There is no greater waste of human life than its reckless disposal for the sake of petty argument. You will of course protect the halls of knowledge if necessary, but armed force is your last recourse. -2 casus belli; military units lose -1 attack, double as police: +2 to law enforcement, civilian casualties reduced.

DRAMATIS PERSONÆ

Neil DarthReus Tyson (Reus)
Supreme Brain
100% approval
+2 to astrophysics
+2 to science

Custerfield
14: Meanwhile, so far north everywhere else starts to look a lot like south, Custerfield has gone one step further and declared a doctrine of total neutrality. Exploiting Icelandic fraternalism and relative self-sufficiency, it has formed itself into a northern refuge against the tomfoolery of the continental powers. With America having plunged into fascism, you must look to your own for protection; but what you lack in numbers you make up for in firepower.

NATIONAL OUTLOOK

True Neutral: With enemies you know where you stand, but with neutrals? Who knows? It sickens me. An aggressively noncommittal foreign policy will shield you from overseas entanglements, but makes intervention that much harder. +5 defence v. foreign influence, -3 diplomacy, +4 to terminating existing agreements.
Refuge in Solitude: If you're not gonna play with anyone else you'd better make sure you've already got plenty of toys. +1 to domestic economy, +1 science, -3 foreign trade.
Northern Watch: While you can't afford much in manpower, you've splurged on the most cutting-edge equipment you can buy. Given the landscape there's also plenty of opportunity to hone physical fighting skills—if they send double the troops, just shoot twice. All military units gain +2 combat; infantry trained in Iceland gain +1 defence and +1 mobility in mountains, while infantry trained in Greenland gain +1 combat in polar regions, +1 v. extreme cold).

Democratic People's Republic of Norrland-Sápmi
7: Sweden is in a bit of a state. In all the post-war chaos and confusion, Johanland was beset by conservative radicals since It Seemed the Trendy Thing To Do™. Political polarization ensued, culminating in the secession of the north half of the country under your mantra of traditional Scandinavian progressivism, bolstered by the Sámi communities that had legitimate fears that "Sweden for the Swedes" bode ill for their rights. Thus far the regime in Stockholm has deigned to leave you to your own... probably because it made sure to steal everything not nailed down beforehand.

NATIONAL OUTLOOK

Minority Report: Bring ye their tired, their huddled masses, yearning to breathe free. As an egalitarian safehouse, you're pretty much open to everyone... except the racists down south, of course. +4 refugee desirability, +1 diplomacy with Liberal/Socialist states, +1 diplomacy with (non-nationalist) ethnic communities, -3 diplomacy with South Sweden.
Your-Fault Divorce: Stockholm's abstention from contesting your secession seemed unexpectedly generous... Then you realized they’d gutted the northern economy beforehand. On the plus side, you're all the wiser for future shocks. -1 economic development, -1 military recruitment, +2 economic robustness; begin with mild national debt.

DRAMATIS PERSONÆ

Gustav Gustavsson (Gurra09)
President
90% approval

1. Enact the treaty with Majterre as discussed here.
2. Diplomatically annex the region in red
14: Majterre's willingness to bend over backwards for you is highly arousing amusing. Too bad there's not much on your end that isn't already deregulated... guess we know who's topping whom in this relationship. +1 diplomacy, -3 casus belli, +1 trade, -2 regulation and -3 ideological defence with Majterre; Majterre automatically receives 25% of scientific research; 10% chance major Majterran economic events will spread to Faxum.

17: No-one knows exactly what methods were used, and the wise don't want to find out. The end result is most of Sudan has been absorbed into the Empire, including several major cities that survived the war intact. More importantly, you've recovered viable equipment stockpiles with which you now have something approaching an actual army. +$16,000 wealth taxable; acquire the Khartoum Convergence, Atbara, Port Sudan, and Wadi Halfa; mechanized units assembled in Khartoum and Port Sudan.

End the Trumpnik menance
1 (5): While you were preparing to roll America, your Draugr army... er, wasn't. In spite of all the rhetoric, there have actually been next-to-no war games in advance of the real attack, and the initial assault is a disorganized mess. All military units suffer -3 to attack in opening moves, and a -2 combat penalty for the next three turns as field commanders try to figure out what the hell they're supposed to be doing.

ROLL TO DODGE!
1 (1): En route to lead the assault on D.C., you're accosted by a Redcap battalion that deals 15 damage.

Have all military units defend the nation from Namibian invasion. This is a battle for the freedom of America and all American patriots are called to arms to defend the nation from the African invaders.
6: A nice jingoistic call to arms on the eve of a home war should have been a no-brainer. Instead, you appear completely flat-footed against what several factions within the government kept warning you was inevitable. The public blames you for poor preparedness. You blame your Cabinet. It blames each other. Citizens fear a draft and begin contingency plans. Those at the front hold the line because they have to, but further from D.C. it's anyone's guess where loyalties lie. President Christos loses 5% approval; all cities west of Oklahoma lose 1 Stability; regular forces west of New Orleans lose 1 Loyalty.

Trust the pillars with your secrets, and gain their alliance as to use them as our chief diplomats...and other things, but later.
18 (20): "Symbols are the key to telepathy. The mind wraps its secrets in symbols; when we discover the symbols that shape our enemy's thought, we can penetrate the vault of his mind." You may not be Lady Dierdre (and she may not be a Pillar), but the principle remains the same... and you've just hired the best ciphers known to mortal minds. +4 espionage, but -5 spy defence should the pact ever be broken.

Hire General Maximilian Veers as Chief of staff of the Army.
12 (14): He's a little full of himself and has an obsession with robot camels, but there's no better strategist when you want to employ overwhelming force. Maximilian Veers hired as Chief of Staff: +2 attack to mechanized and armoured units.

Sell popcorn and little Namibia flags to onlookers.
17: Sure, the war may be off to a bad start, but you still bet on the popular team, and within hours you're in danger of running short. +$5 million to state coffers, while the international show of solidarity boosts Namibian morale +2 for the next eight turns. (All players may purchase their own paper flag for $1.50 as a free action.)

invest in and expand the volksreich's economic capabilities by investing in the creation of more cooperatives.
8 (10): YO DAWG, I HEARD YOU LIKE CO-OPS. SO WE PUT A CO-OP IN YOUR CO-OP SO YOU CAN SYNDICALIZE WHILE YOU SYNDICALIZE! But yeah, unless the end goal is fractal business, no-one's quite sure where a new one would fit.

News on the March

American Civil War: Round III

Everyone knew it was coming. No-one thought the overture would be so lacklaustre. The initial attack on D.C. proved ineffective, while the Toronto offensive was stalled in its tracks with the Canadians now on the defensive, although a flanking force is expected to arrive by next turn. The Generalissima herself came under fire while en route to Washington, prompting a rescue by forces in Pittsburgh. So far the Namibians' most successful front has been at the Ohio–Indiana border, where Bluecapes have stunned a lone Redcap battalion.

America isn't doing much better. Political infighting combined with a critical lack of preparedness have thrown military command into disarray, with several units refusing marching orders altogether, and the rest stymied by profiteering toll roads. While Namibia holds numeric and technical superiority on the ground, its lone fighter squadron can't hope to take on the entire USAF at once... assuming it puts its boots on and clears the tarmac.

Rumours that President Antonopoulos went catatonic after his speech have been rigorously denied by the White House, with mirror-universe Michael Moore Steve Bannon stating it is all part of a foolproof strategy to confound the Democrats America's enemies, and to stay tuned if you want so much whingeing winning, you'll get sick of it.

United States of America is now an NPC.

Sámi with Missile Ships
Scandinavian politics has been upended with the rise of regressivism in what we thought was the most forward-thinking peninsula in Europe. Sweden is spit between a Communist hard socialist North(land) and a cryptofascist ancap archconservative South. After surviving the Cold War more or less untouched, have the Swedes unwittingly found themselves the fulcrum of a new global power play? Only if Berlin gets involved, says our editor.

South Sweden—Despite blatant racism and right-wing rhetoric, Stockholm allowed Norrland-Sápmi to secede, probably thinking it's the best way to confine the undesirables in a single place. Surrounded by socialists it's unlikely to find friends on the continent, but it retains the bulk of the professional army and shouldn't be trifled with.
Northern Sámi Federation—Following Kiruna's lead, neighbouring Sámi communities declared their own sovereignty and now control a unified state stretching across the Arctic Circle. No doubt President Gustavsson would have preferred they had joined him, but it's better than nothing. To the envy of Byzieboos everywhere, the defection of northern Kola has netted the country control of a sizable portion of the Russian Northern Fleet, including the aircraft carrier Kuznetsov, although most of the shipyards were sabotaged and the vessels are badly understaffed.

Faxumite Libertarians Demand Austerity
In the wake of the Internet Crash of five minutes ago, the libertarian wing in Faxum has begun campaigning for lower taxes and the usual Disaster Capitalism shock tactics to promote "balanced budgets" and "encourage entrepreneurship". The socialists don't know what they're whingeing about given there's barely a budget to balance, but since when has the Chicago School paid attention to the facts? Faxum loses 1 stability until it Acts in response.

Hoxha Cannot Into SBAES
A long-range missile test ended catastrophically for Albania-in-Exile when the rocket detonated shortly after takeoff, damaging Bunker Prime and scattering debris across the area, resulting in the deaths of 17 personnel and minor injuries to all above-ground units. Press releases have been suspended to confound the revisionists, but there is widespread speculation Hoxha was investigating means of landing an expedition on Madagascar that did not require manned aircraft or a functioning navy. Internationally-renowned pie enthusiast Hugh Neutron remarked that "The chances of anything coming from Antarctica are a million to one!"—for once, it seems fate didn't take.

Notes from the GM

So there you have it: our first taste of large-scale warfare. I actually managed all the calculations today—and once again, the most time was spent on the map. I can't say much about the process itself since so far I'm just winging it, but in the end it's the same basic procedure as everything in this game: I roll a die, adjust modifiers, and interpret the result. It's not quite the same as fights involving player characters, but I think it'll do the job of handling mass combat in an expedient fashion.

I applied rigorous GM fiat (read: quasi-educated guesswork) to the Volksreich's updated party stats. If Terra actually had a breakdown in mind, I'll look into tweaking it.

Update starts in a week or when all orders received, as usual. Given what we've seen so far, the actual deadline is open to interpretation. ;)

President Christos is here.

No NPC. I said I will not be joining any new IOTs, not that I will quit from the ones I am already in.

Sultan wishes to expand the borders, uniting turkey.
