ROTQM03: Return of the Quantum Monkies

And Zophos, Ruff did provide an overview shot ~ a bass-ackwards one, but one nonetheless!
True, true. It wasn't from the end of the turnset, though, so I was surprised when I opened up the save and saw, not only the tank gone, but the Artillery missing, all our troops back in the city and more enemies drifting around.

I didn't mean to criticize, honestly. I just thought it'd be helpful to see the current military situation right in the thread. I know I don't always open the current save before I start spouting worthless advice. :hammer2:

why don't we have a Davey, Mickey, Mike or Pete in this game yet?

The name of the battleship in my very first script was the HMS Davey Jones. And people say we're just monkeying around...:hammer2:

I didn't mind the summary unit picture, especially as it was a few posts down from my report - I was trying to build tension about the outcome of the battles (eg tank) and I think I managed that. If we had significant units (stronger than 6) I would have included a summary. As I see it, we just have some experience building opponents around (if handled correctly).

Updated order of the happenings:

Rex Tyrannus: The "E" is for evil. (The R and X don't stand for anything.)
GreyFox: Stuck in Dallas, poor bastard.
Pholkhero: Almost as smart as the R.O.N.
Ruff Hi: Fixing the non logging logger
negyvenketto: Following the words of the prophet written on the subway walls.
Lobster Boy: Dodging flying monkey poo.

Bold person is UP

whoa there - I am claiming (delayed) naming rights. Please change its name to ... "Moonshine" as it is right near the illicit banana still.

Not "Monkeyshine"? Fits the story so far AND the banana still...

Yes - good catch. That is acceptable.

Isn't Monkey Shine the name of a Stephen King book (that isn't about banana liquour)? Either way, Negy, this is your game as much as anyone else's name the city whatever you want, buddy. Ruff will just have to rename it on *his* set.

Could be. But the dictionary definition is:

MONKEYSHINE: noun. Slang A mischievous or playful trick; a prank. Often used in the plural: laughed at my daughter's monkeyshines.

The pun on 'moonshine' is just a bonus.

Yep. Negy can solicit advice (as he has), but the glory or dishonor belongs to him alone.

Mr. Chimps: Cornelius, Is there any progress to get back the lost data from our library?
Cornelius: No, Sir. It seems only an Event can help us.
Mr. Chimps: I'm not sure I should prey for another Event.
Zimbu: How can you say such pagan words, Sir? The Event helped us finding God. God makes our simian people happy.
Jojo: Thank you for your effort spreading the word across the country. We need this 'cos the evil humans cut our resource lines and the lack of fine spices made apes unhappy.
Mr. Chimps: We should protect our luxories better.
Jojo: Yes, Sir.
Mr. Chimps: What is the millitary situation?
Jojo: They keep coming, Sir

They did't make any trouble at that time.

We could cope with these, too.

But we lost a battle against this evils with pre-Event weapons.

After some healing he came back, but not in full strength.

A humanzee colony :whipped: in Mr. Teenyville when it was unhappy due to cut from luxories (was in heavy starvation). They are delivered to the commerce spot. Or the horse spot would be better?

Top secret

interesting approach negy ~ posting the top secret save along with the attached version  i personally can't see wasting a settler for jsut those horses; what a crummy resource placement  that commerce city makes more sense.

we were lucky that this time the mismatch was in our favor re: the larger stacks of several AIs coming at us; let's hope we don't need to cross that bridge.

I think we need to spam archers (or similar), save our money and hope to return to a more advanced age quickly so that we can do a mass upgrade. I bet some AIs build factories while in the future to help their production.

I agree with Ruff. An event is in the air, I can smell it. Ditch research, whip idiots, fire off the flux capacitor and send Marty back to the future.

I didn't intend to do that, I just forgot I should use the easy upload system instead of adding an attachment
Edited my post :D

Okay, let's keep this trainwreck moving...

Rex Tyrannus: Something old
GreyFox: Something new
Pholkhero: Something borrowed
Ruff Hi: Something blue
negyvenketto: Something run off with a bride's maid
Lobster Boy: Something puked on by the best man

Got it, and will play tonight.

At first, I was thinking that "One Horse Town" should be settled ASAP to bring in the horses and give us some mobility. But because we can't keep the roads around Mr. Teenyville from being pillaged, I don't think that mobility is that important.
