[RD] Russia Invades Ukraine: The Four Horsemen Arrive

This seems like it is a justification for indiscriminately targeting Russian civilians
Not trying to promote targeting any civilians just yet, but I guess you're aware how Nazi Germany and their ally Japan were defeated. Bombing of Dresden, nukes on Japan etc.

Obviously it would be a totally crazy stupid thing to do but it is funny to think that, right now, Ukraine could invade Russia and take Belgorod, Kursk, etc, all the way to Moscow. There is a number of tank brigades (1st tank army) stationed at the SW of Moscow protecting the capital, but nothing more all the way to Kharkov.

Figured itvwas something like that. If they had reserves in Belgograd they could have counterattacked a few days ago cutting the Ukrainian push near Kharkiv.

Obviously they don't.

It seems that in liberated territory was detained unspecified number of teachers with Russian passports, mainly from Crimea/Peoples republics.
They are not POWs so they can face up to 12 years in prison.

There is the strategic issue with Kharkiv-Russia border. Russia can safely assume Ukraine won't invade Russia, but Ukraine cannot safely assume Russia won't push towards Kharkiv again. Basically, Ukraine must tie down at least some defensive garrison in Kharkiv while Russia could move literally everyone that was on that front to the Donbas. From this point of view it wasn't the best place to attack because it was absolutely moronic for Russia to sustain a front line in Kharkiv oblast to begin with, especially the part of it that was just a few miles from the border anyway. You could make the same point about Kherson province too. Russia's invasion strategy made 0 sense for the war it wound up getting, and the main reason it's losing is a logistical nightmare of a long front line while Ukraine held the center. Their losses force them to solve this flaw, but only after thousands have surrendered or died.

It’s wrong to harm civilians! So, let’s harm civilians in return!

So typical. So putinist of you, guys ;)
The Red Army during WW2 (your avatar picture ;)) and the Allies knew no better way of putting down rampant fascism than to level the cities of the aggressors along with their citizens. I'm sure you know a better way, a bloodless solution. Because the guys that inspired your avatar picture were apparently clueless.

There‘re always some awkward historical excuses when you do that the putinist way, aren’t there? 🤷🏾‍♂️

Turns out the bombing was mostly a waste. Bombing the fuel sources later in ear was devastating.

It's what you call "filtration".
And no, not only teachers and not only from Crimea. Locals who got Russian passports or license plates earlier are being arrested too and fleeing to the East by thousands.

Locals who took passports have committed treason.

Jail term would be appropriate.

Any Russian civilians went into a warzone and are illegal aliens at best. Detaining them is perfectly legal and justified.

Those are now questioned as war crimes.
Civilians have always suffered direct attacks in war.

That's a crime according to Ukrainian (and Russian) laws. Being a collaborator is no good.

Treason during war is a crime pretty much everywhere. Any Russian civilians from Russia proper at least are innocent of treason charges.

That’s what capitalist oligarchies usually do
Care to name the country of origin of those capitalist oligarchies in our case? You know, those that destroyed the industrial city of Mariupol, for example.
