Screenshot analysis!

I spotted once something that could be a Wat, so today I looked for it in EVERY Civ6 gameplay video but only succeeded into getting this crappy screenshot:

Sorry for the poor quality, but I couldn't retrieve a better quality in a video...

But while wandering between YT videos, I took some pictures that could interest AriochIV, such as:

It's considered as a marsh, so units can walk in...

Settlers lens:

This provides information on which tile you can settle. Indeed, it indicates the 3-tile radius where you can't colonize, plus, it indicates the "access to water" (strong with rivers & oasis, medium with coast, null with deserts) needed to get the first housing points

Religious lens:

It indicates the dominant religion on each city's territory, and the partition of religion in each cities

Voila, hopefully I could help you, by getting some rather new info (or at least gather info) to you... :)

Nice sleuthing!

Ah. So that's what this thing was:

Gotta admit I kind of wish that Religious lens had a overlay of pressure on top, so you could see how much pressure each tile gets (because let's be honest, each tile technically gets it some sort of pressure, imagine seeing two religions blend into each other)

Nope, but we got confirmation that more advanced units cost more gold.

I believe that each tier of both buildings and units costs an additional gold.

It would be more historically accurate for them to use Yari instead of crazy long Naginata, but I have to admit, they look Japanese.

The same model will probably be used for the Chinese as well, that's why they use a weapon that could pass as a Naginata or as a Guan Dao.

Crazy long Naginata :lol::lol:

And the european Pikeman also looks different to their previous build version, especially the weapon model(it looks like a crazy long halberd now). No screenshot though, I'm not at my computer.

In Marbozir Part 7:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6mWBxNrWQs

He has four stacked notification types on the right side and cycles through a bunch of them. These persist after the turn if you haven't dismissed them (he had one promotion one up earlier for over forty minutes). For two of them, they have 4 messages queued up. Within those you can see arrows to flip between the messages as well as dots showing how many. Text is crammed in there so expected still being polished.

Did different units in Civ5 cost different amount of gold? My memory is bad.

I already posted that, but not as a screenshot. Oops!

Nope, but we got confirmation that more advanced units cost more gold.

I believe that each tier of both buildings and units costs an additional gold.

Buildings seem to be by tiers (Library 1 gold, University 2) but Units are by era of the unit (Archer 1, Catapult 2, Crossbowman 3)

I'm confused, didnt they say in last week's livestream, that buildings wouldnt cost maintenance?

We know that there is a Policy (I believe Military) that reduces the cost of unit upkeep by 1 per unit.

If that has no minimum, that would apparently make Ancient era units free.
