Max Payne 3 recently became the first game I beat on my new gaming pc! It was a pretty fun gaming experience overall... It's basically a "hide behind stuff and shoot at bad guys in slo mo" type of game, but it has a lot of different types of settings (as in situational settings, not settings you can change), so the gimmick never really gets old.

I highly recommend this game, it was loads of fun! Story mode took me several days to beat on normal difficulty. Here's some screenshots I took while I was playing:

Still painfully hard without excessive use of the Look button and everybody around you thinks you're an evil wizard.

I think it is just the way the ASCII in that image kind of plays tricks on your eyes, I usually have no trouble looking at the beautiful screenshots of DF but that image in particular does make my eyes feel weird.
