The first English-language Bible has been penned, causing the power of the Church of England, only recently fully established and broken from Rome to grow within the realm. Some Roman Catholics leave the nation for Ireland and Scotland. However overall stability rises.

Earthquake spawns tidal wave that hits Hawaii, Japan
A rather strong earthquake has occurred somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. This of course was not known in either Japan or Chinese Hawaii. The first they knew of it was when the wave appeared on the horizon, with scant warning the coastlines of the main island of Honshu and the islands of Hawaii were destroyed by this tsunami. The devastation is widespread, and there are many fatalities. The destruction of the fishing fleets of Hawaii has also caused a shortfall in food production there and thus the population has dropped through starvation and reports of cannibalism. In Japan they are picking up the pieces, however Hawaii has been wiped out.

Darwin and Broome created, slavery instituted.
The Maori Confederation has expanded their growing colonial empire again, and also created 2 new colonies, Darwin and Broome. The most important aspect however is that the King has decreed that slavery is acceptable this has led to the taking of Aboriginals and Javanese as slaves. In fact Darwin has become a centre of this regional slave trade which has given a boost to the economy there.

Reproduction begins to preached in Papal States
The Cardinals and Preists of the Catholic Church have begun a massive drive for procreation throughout the Papal States, with a small baby boom begining to take shape. Measures incude payments for couples who have multiple children. Conversely however workers are being paid more to work harder which is leaving some of them too tired to take advantage of the new procreation drive.
Swiss Protestants begin rebellion
Swiss Protestants have begun revolting against the Swiss government due to the recent inclusion of the Confederation into the Holy Roman Empire. So far the action is more to the north-west of the Conferation however the situation is likely to get worse unless the revolts are put down. Some of the ringleaders of the rebellion have called for the Protestant Cantons of the Confederation to declared independence and leave the HRE in an effort to prevent further control from Catholic Vienna.

Aztecs try to expand to beyond the Mississippi, have minor success, giving gifts to local peoples....
The Aztec Emperor has tried to outflank the Europeans along the Gulf coast looking for a crossing across the Mississippi. After much bribery the finally find one but the superior arms of the Europeans prevent the Aztecs from being able to advance too far. Some minor skirmishes were fought, much to the distaste of the Aztec warriors who inferior weapons were no match, however no campaigns are taking place and these isolated incidents are more as a result of the aggressive expansionism of the Aztecs themselves then anything else.

Bayonets completed by Hungary and Ming China
Surprisingly the idea of a perfected knife on the end of a gun has been achieved on opposite sides of the world within months of each other. Hungary was the first to achieve the breakthrough, followed by Ming China. Neither side however has actually upgraded the military and made use of this exciting new breakthrough, whatever it will achieve.
Russia expands past the Urals!, begins major training and scientific push
After the successful integration and colonisation of the former Tatar lands, Ivan looked once again towards his expansion and decided that the plains of South-Western Siberia would be ideal. In 1535 colonists set out to cross the Urals, establishing outposts in the lower lands on the other side of the mountain range in September that year. From there the military and armed farmers named 'kulacks', who are fiercely loyal to the Tsar have carved a rather large portion of the surrounding countryside and claimed it for the glory of the Russian Empire.
Meanwhile back in Moscow, Ivan has begun a scientific push that is likely to make him become known for his patronage.

Friesland continues to expand in the New World
Friesland continues the expansion of its New World colonies, there are talks within some of the circles of his nobility of transferring gradually to the New world to escape the HRE and Austria. Already several have left for the colony, vastly increasing the colony and the value of it, however there is starting to see pressure to have the Duke himself come to the New World.

Sino-Mongol War
The Empire of the Great Ming has begun a massive campaign to wrest control of the northern wastes from the Mongol barbarian hordes that have for many centuries inhabitated the lands to the north. Such was the ferocity of the Mongols that several regiments have been lost outright, their commanders unsure what exactly has occurred to them, given the lighting fast reaction times of the Mongol horsemen or the consummate skill displayed in their use of a bow from horseback.
However as the campaign continues Chinese troops begin to push further and further north, displacing the Mongol tribes who once inhabitated the areas and causing them to flee. This will have several effects, most of which will cause the complete disorgnisation and corruption of Mongol society, and there are talks to a backlash occurring because of it, but at the same time it has denied the Mongols of some of their more reliable sources of food.
(Mongols are shown on map but no stats, - 12 Chinese regiments, - 4 Chinese guns, - 5% Chinese stability)
New Vilnius created. Shares border with New Krakow - Tobacco trade starts.
Poland has created a new colony of New Vilnius and has expanded both this colony and New Krakow to the point where they share a mutual border in the area thats fast becoming known as the northern Carolinas. Agriculture is taking off, especially with the new world crop of Tobacco. While tobacco is useless as a food crop, it has shown potential for the smokable product it can produce, which many say is a tonic for the brain and soul and is great for treating a wide range of aches, pains and other afflictions that the modern man faces.
Plans are to sell these tobacco leaves to Europe in the coming years, in the hope that it will become a large money earner.
New Vilnus established
Tatars continue to cause some problems in Poland-Lithuania
Poland allows Tatars to build mosques with some restrictions in the areas where they have the majority, but they begin to resent the fact that they have large mosques or mosques throughout the nation, as some of them live in the major cities throughout Poland as merchants. Some Christians have also been fined but not all that many as the largely Christian police force turns a blind eye.
The problem is exacerbated by the fact that wealthy Tatars and nobles have begun building larger and larger mosques on their properties in shows of faith. Some of these mosques have also become centres for anti-Christian thought considering the continued hostility displayed towards the Muslims by the average Christian.
-5% stability in Poland-Lithuania
Greece declares its independence from the Ottoman Empire
Greece revolts, the Patriarch flees Constantinople for Athens and is declared the Supreme ruler.... the real power lies with the Greek Generals, however the Patriarchs words carry more weight with the people themselves. It remains a tenuous position This is because of the stoic resistance shown by the Cretean peoples in resisting the Ottoman takeover (see below) and before long funding had come from abroad to buy weapons for a war of liberation, which continues, however the Patriarch is seen by many as the true and rightful ruler.
Greece becomes independent!
Gustaville established, New Sweden expands
Sweden has established a new colony, called Gustaville, south of the Polish colonies of New Krakow and New Vilinus. In this unforgiving heat, many Swedes die however before long the colony is established and begining to grow. There is also talks to introducing cotton to the area and cultivating the tobacco, word of which is begining to filter down from the Polish territories.
Meanwhile New Sweden continues to expand at a rapid pace.
Gustaville created
Lapland completely colonised, Sweden denied access to a coastline by Denmark-Norway and Russia.
Sweden long in the desire of gaining a northern coastline in the Lapland area, has beeen denied this by both Denmark-Norway and Russia. Russia itself only began expansion into Lapland and has managed to secure much of the White Sea coastline, meanwhile Denmark-Norway has continue its efforts along the northern coastlines in the Artic Circle.
The Laplanders dont really care anymore.
Serbu expanded by Japan, begins using the natives as indentured workers.
The Empire of Japan has embarked on a major expansion of the Serebu colony employing indentured workers, mainly of Indon or Malay stocks. This has allowed a major highway on the main island to be constructed to better facilitate transport between the two main settlements and the tin minining faciilities nearby, and at the same time has seen the size and economy of Serebu itself, floruish.
Inca pays double to the Ming Emperor, expansion continues.
The Incan Emperor in a show of loyalty to the Great Ming has paid double the amount of tribute as per normal. While some of the Incan Empire are pleased with this show of gratitude, there are many more that feel that its a waste of funds that would be better spent on the Incans themselves. This debate while continuing, does not prevent the Incan Armies from continuing their eastward expansion, adding yet more land to the Empire and forever expanding deeper into the Jungles on the otherside of the Andes.
-2 Incan regiment, +1IC for Ming China next turn.
Persia continues expansion into Puntland and northwards, fails to expand elsewhere due to lack of funds.
Persian Punland is continuosly expanded over the last two years, however contacts with the Ethiopians have been terse and to the point, never much going into frivolities and working towards building a relationship, hence trade is stymied between the colony and the Kingdom. Meanwhile elsewhere, other Persian expansion plans were abandoned when it was found that there was no money in the budget for them.

England begins reform, English Ireland and Calais directly annexed into the English nation.
Kign Henry VIII has brought about much needed reforms, more importantly that abolition of the former 'colony' of English Ireland and its direct inclusion under the British crown now. Elsewhere the French King has given England Calais (see below), which too had been directly annexed into England. The rest of the reforms continues.
English Ireland is no longer a colony
New York and New England now share a border, Colony of the Plate established........ rapidly.
English expansionism in the New World has kicked up notch. In North America, New York and New England now share a border, boosting trade between the colonies and also allowing for greater access to resources for European marketplaces. However it is in South America where the greatest expansion occured, with the heavy investment into the Colony of the Plate, on the Plate plain.... the establishment of this colony, along with the influx of slaves from Benin-Ovo has seen this settlement flourish and grow beyond all expectations. Already the Colony of the Plate is a formidable entity in the region and is favoured to continue along this pattern of growth in coming years.
(Colony of the Plate established)
England invades and annexes Benin-Ovo, begins the trade of slaves.
King Henry VIII comissioned an African Corps to establish a foothold on the 'dark continent'. This was done by warfare, with the invasion and subjugation of the Empire of Benin-Ovo. the Beninese had little chance against the superior armaments of the Europeans and little casualties were suffered by the English themselves, more through stavation and disease then through actually combat.
By the end of 1535, Benin was fully conquered and annexed into the English Empire as the Colony of the Gold Coast. From this colony the English slave trade has begun which has seen great success afforded to the newly established Colony of the Plate.

Ireland creates New Eire with Scotish help
The Kingdom of Ireland has established New Eire in the far northern wastes in what is becoming known as the 'North-west Passage' with Scotish help. The colony however is somewhat fragile and underpopulated and thus will need much extra support to keep it going.
(New Eire established by Ireland)
Jamesland expanded along the St. Andrew's River
Gaelic Free State creates slave forts to better deal with capturing local populations along what is becoming known as the Slave Coast of Africa.
The Gaelic Free States, especially with the collapse of their major trading partner, Benin-Ovo, has begun the constriction and establishment of several 'slave forts' along the Slave coast of Africa. These slave forts are home to 'Slave raiders', mercenaries paid for by the government of the Gaelic Free States on a per slave captured basis. The system seems to be working well with slave markets opening up throughout the Americas and Eurpe and Gaelic Free State slaves being featured heavily in those markets. This all means that even with the growing competition from the Colony of the Gold Coast and even further abroad, the Gaelic Free States have maintained their growth and status as a regional trading hub.

Mossi becomes vassals of the Songhai Empire
After the defeats suffered in the last year by the Mossi army, the Mossi leadership had bowed to Songhai demands and has signed a treaty of vassalisation. The Mossi Confederation has now become the first vassal of an sub-Saharan African country. Elsewhere the Songhai are denied a port so far, mainly due to the over-estimation of success for the expansion of the Empire, however Songhai is now the largest empire in Africa itself. The are few troubles however the recent annexation of Benin-Ovo by England has given some pause and there are talks amongst the inner circles of the Songhai government that some action should be taken in regards to it.
(Mossi Confederation becomes vassal of the Songhai Empire)
Ethiopia sends students to Ming Chinese universities
The Kingdom of Ethiopia is the latest nation to send students to the universities in Ming China, however their students have struggled at times and thus the results are not as good as what was first expected.

Mozambique and Sumatra established by the Mughal Empire
The Mughal Empire has established the colonies of Sumatra (in direct competition with the Chinese) and Miozambique in Africa. This is the formation of yet another colonial Empire brings the total of all nations that have colonies to fourteen nations. The colonies themselves are largely self-sufficent but no runaway successes.
(Sumatra and Mozambique established
Nova Scotia established by Scotland
The Kingdom of Scotland in the quest for brazilwood (and in an effort to usurp the Portugese monopoly in brazilwood trading) has established a colony in South America called Nova Scotia. So far this colony is small and has only resulted in one shipment of exotic woods back to Scotland. One such wood, the flamewood (ooc: yeah I made this up) is bright orange in colour, and has caught the eye of King James.... thus flamewood is now featured heavily on some of the ormaentation around the palace and a craze for flamewood doors and furniture has begun in the upper classes of Scotland
