Not really, The eventual goal of Communism is the elimination of Capitalism and the Capitalists...

Of course they can get along in a non-revolutionary situation

Communism will never cure the world of its imperfections, neither will capitalism. The World Sucks and People suck... But if both could work together we could atleast make it a little better... Lets stop the killing.

I think America should open up relations with the Cubans, even if u despise the system do u rly wish to deny those people a chance for a better life... Besides, even if u dont like Communism, u can see it as an excuse to try and spread Democracy into Cuba more directly.

Well not exactly. When we went into Iraq, we sent something like ten divisions of men, because we had to combat the Iraqi Army, and occupy and entire country. Cuba is different, they're fifty years behind Iraq, most of their military is using dilapidated weapons (their air force uses turboprop planes!), and we wouldn't need to occpy the entire country, just go into Havanna and take out Castro and Co. Nothing more than one MC batallion would be needed, and maybe send the USS Wasp offshore or something. To eliminate the possibility of this becoming like Vietnam (where we started out with a small amount of troops, and then found reasons to send more), Congress needs only to, when passing the bill that pays for this operation, put a clause in there that no more funding can be made available for this deal, and that troop strength may not be increased. I didn't say I hate communism. I said that "communist" governments cannot work. I like the idea of communism, but I also realize that it could never be successfully implemented. Every allegedly communist nation the world has ever known has always turned into a ruthless dictatorship, which makes them no better than Nero or Caligula.

So, because I don't like communist goverments, that therefore means that I'm not allowed to do anything that communist governments do? You know, communists collect taxes, too, does that mean that capitalists shouldn't either? How about eating bread, Reds do that too, I guess that makes it evil and the very anticedent of capitalism, we shouldn't eat bread, America!

If Castro were to die and a more democratic leader came to power and kept it a communist state. Would u then open relations? Ya could never know for sure but it looks to me that Fidel is at the end of the line.
