I am thinking about getting a dog, I am wondering if I should get a FEMALE DOG or a male.
Males are more playful, but FEMALE DOGS won't tear up your house when you leave. What are your thoughts?

Get a boy so it can play frissbee

Are you planing to be a dog breader?

It doesn't matter what gender, just get them neutered. Trust me, you do NOT want to deal with a male's territorial marking, or a female when they're in heat.

I'd say it depends if you can stand your dog biting you, nagging for attention, etc.. If not, don't get a male.

I had a dog (the one in my avatar) that I never trained. Yes, it tears up everything it can put its paws on, but what the heck, they're all junks in the backyard.
I never let it in my house, so no big deal.

It's really not that bad, you just can't let her play unsupervised with the boy dogs.

My mom has a female English bulldog and I´ll relate one big thing that I learned from that dog:

...That if not "fixed" then female dogs have their "days" (I don´t know how frenquent) just like human females. Unfortunately, unlike human females, dogs can´t apply pads on their own, that´ll be YOUR job and it can get kind of messy. Again that is if she isn´t "fixed."

I would get a male dog. Not all dogs chew or trash your house especially if you train them well.
