Generally I've been immune to adult sickness. Haven't had a flu or cold since 2019(usually vaxxed), Covid barely effected me -light cold for a day or two.

Last few weeks though somethings gone wrong. Allergic reaction or immune system going aggro on my skin. Body rash itching and burning.

3 doctors none know what it is. Haven't had a good night's sleep in weeks. If it hasn't improved by Monday might be specialist time. Just exhausted all the time does not compute. Slept most of Sunday then Sunday night. Worst of its gone but the fatigue is new. Today's the first day in a week I haven't fallen asleep. Dozed off on the floor twice it's that bad.

Can't eat properly. Living off water, fruit juice, straw milk, oatmeal, boysenberry icecream, and canned peaches. Some days you feel almost OK, next day kicked in ass. Haven't cooked anything in a week. Can't even game. Managed to leave house yesterday.

Bored stupid. Either asleep, watching youtube or Tasmaster. Walking hurts or itches feet currently on fire. Third doctor she's really nice on a variety pills one zonks you out at night. Two weeks of that and sleepy time almost every day.

Being a nasty socialist country the doctors visits are about $40 a prescription $3. Everything's super sensitive eg scratches, holt/cold, Dexter jumping on me. He gets binned off if he uses his claws.
Bleach.

This could clear up next week or it could be your life forever now. If it is auto immune BS, you need to regard your healthcare as a marathon, not a sprint. Those conditions are difficult to diagnose. You would need a strategic plan for bothering your doctors on a very long term basis.

Fun times.

Just my opinion. But you really need to sleep, have you tried a pill for that? Also why no meat?
Do you have a partner, family that can help? Can you take days off?
Don't lose hope!
Hoping for your best!

I've been sleeping lots just not uninterrupted.

One of the pills KOs me.

Once afaik. Due for vax shot in August iirc overdue for flu shot. Maybe vice versa.

Hmmm. When did you have covid? I ask because what you describe, fatigue that does not improve with rest, is the tell-tale symptom of CFS.

It's exhausting existing. Basically have flair ups and you can feel it. I don't think it's Covid.
Wife has mentioned it as an add on last few days. EgXYZ+Covid.
Can also be cold wrapped up a day heat pump on 24.

Even though I'm well most of the time, I have periods of back pain during which I can't sleep properly. In these cases, drugs are your friend.

CFS?
Is that the technical term for what I've heard calling long Covid?
Then @Zardnaar CFS is a serious one, I only got, for now, thighs pain from time to time out of nowwhere, but I know people that still can't properly taste or smell!

Why not? a friend of mine described the symptoms (neck pain due to work) - asked the AI to give exercises for the neck - went to the doctor with them - he said an excellent exercise plan - even I would not have figured it out (order, duration). Of course, after consulting with the AI, you need to coordinate these tips with your doctor.
Your friend got lucky.
P/S within few years we always will go for AI consultation
To quote the immortal wisdom of Strong Bad: "Oh yeah, I'd rather die!"

CFS = chronic fatigue syndrome. This isn't a technical term for long covid, it's a condition that can be caused by long covid (but has other potential causes as well - however, what's called post-viral injury is afaik the most common cause of CFS). More info from the CDC:

I basically laughed off covid. I don't think it's that.

It's less likely if you didn't have a severe covid case, but hardly impossible. I would suggest at least raising it with your doctor.

Moderator Action: Medical threads can be problematic. We are a gaming forum. Sharing one's medical conditions and how you have been treated is fine. Asking for medical help gets us close to the edge. Suggestions can get us into trouble especially if they are suggestions about what to actually do (other than go see a doctor). Asking questions is fine. Diagnosing beyond such things as: Could it be long covid? Have you had your appendix out? Do you have a rash? Have you thought about Lyme's disease? gets beyond what we will allow. We are not a medical site. Helpful links are fine too.

AI is not a doctor and whether or not to use it for diagnosing your medical condition is beyond the scope of this forum.
