SimCity 5

I dunno man, this is a REALLY big screw up. They may very well offer brand new AAA games.

I already have Sims 3 and lots of expansions on Steam actually, I tried moving them onto origin, but it redirects me to the Sims 3 website to activate it there and I cant be asked to make a new account there yet.

If Sims 3 University is available for free, then I'll try harder to get my Steam copy onto Origin and get that expansion, that would be great.

Inter city trading is working now, I read that the issue was actually due to poor server performance. Im still plodding along on the starter 3 city region and learning how to specialize cities. I decided to try out the following 3 ideas:

- Low + Medium wealth Industrial + Power city providing power to the other cities, and taking in workers

- Water + Education city taking in students and providing water to the other two cities, maybe adding high wealth industrial later.

- Medium / High Wealth Commercial + Tourist city on the coastal location.

I have no idea how to fully set them up yet, but will figure it out eventually.

Just beware if you make a Casino city. I've had neighboring mayors make those and had arsonists and murderers and God knows what else "tour" my city.

sooo I just took over this abandoned city and the previous guy had a nuclear plant exploded so now 1/3 the city is ground polluted and in radiation. >_> (He named the city Meltdown Plateau), but then it was fun when I asked the other mayors to send ambulances to help me. :D

I'm planting trees and gardens, along with improving sewage plant and the ground pollution is receding slowly. Dunno how to get rid of radiation though....

EA offering a free game to simcity players is an apology I can live with. I wonder about the specific terms and conditions though.

Gamespot have given the game a 5/10:

But they rate the gameplay very highly, just all the bugs, small cities and crappy servers again weighing the score down. Oh and I like how they mention that other players can actually mess you up, and thats very true that they can because they might not provide what you need in your region, might not play long enough to build up their city to keep trading going, and might simply troll the region by building up a city that everyone else depends on, and then just bulldoze it all down for the lolz (Yes I admit, that somebody would be me - 'Hey guys, dont worry, I can build a power, water, garbage collection, fire station and hospital city all in one and sell you my services .... And then abandon trades and bulldoze everything and go away. I need to try this out :D).

And sell poisoned water muahahaha!!!

Also EA employees, or people paid by EA are leaving comments on these articles again :D

I wonder how many people NEVER buy a single player game because they can just pirate it.

Most "gaming" people I know admit to me that they will pirate every "good" single player game and not give a .

The studio that developed Titan Quest had to close down because their game was pirated to the extent that they could not sell enough copies, (and yet more people who enjoying their game).

Not that I support always-online. But if this game's servers worked properly I wouldn't care about it.

.... Anyway now all I can think of doing is trying to get into someone elses region as a utility city provider, and then trololol as described above :D

Playing the piracy card is getting old and doesn't work for anyone with half a brain. It just gives big business another excuse to bend you over a little bit further.

I played hours without any disaster and in my new town i got 2!
First a big monster, hardly did any damage.

Now I have a zombie attack! The worst thing is, I have a small town and had no crime so i switched off my police station... Those zombie are unstoppable and killing every one!

Edit: They die after sun rise.

This is such a shame. It seems like a good game utterly ruined by Draconian security, bull-headed management and a few downright ludicrous game play decisions.

As an old SimCity fan it's a pity how EA managed to screw this game up. I don't think I'll be getting this game any time soon. SC4 will be enough for me to satisfy my needs of building a city.

Although it appears there are not very many people who own this game or seem interested in getting it anytime soon. I decided to go ahead and create a SimCity region where members who own this game can play. If you want an invite either post your origin username here or PM and I will invite you as soon as I get on.

Details on the region I chose:
Map name is Discovery Delta.
16 city sites.
4 Great works sites.

If someone could inform me which button takes screenshots I will post a pic of the map.

I heard that trying to find public regions with spots for you is hard until they add back the filter function.

$80 is the Digital Deluxe edition. It has the British, German, and French city widgets.
And I am a terrible person for supporting such a price point

:trouble:

The "c" key lets you take a screenshot. ("v" records video (no sound)).

Well I made a pretty high wealth education city:

My first few cities were all industrial ones full of peasants, one of which provides power and students to this city, while this one provides high wealth educated workers to the whole region.

Now I need to start filling in the rest of the region.

Nice city bhav!

Well, they finally got me pissed! I was working on a specialized oil city. I placed an oil well and added more pumps to get more oil out the ground and added some extra trucks to get it to my trade depot.
I was well on my way to unlock an oil HQ. Then a third disaster (earthquake) in a very short time (must have something to do with the new patch) hits exactly under my wells and destroys them all, I invested over a 100,000 simoleons in that well and my city is small......

That disaster was very unbalanced imho.

Oh well will it will be cheaper when the servers are fixed.
