Single Player bugs and crashes - After the 23rd of September 2013

Not sure if this idea is doable, but I would prefer fewer police/healer units and partially replace them with an adjustable maintenance 'civil works' slider (per city or per empire) that would reduce crime and disease (or perhaps 2 separate sliders) at the cost of :gold:. The ratio of :gold: to improvement would be dependent upon techs and/or buildings. Fewer units = less memory = faster turn times and load times.
 
Aren't Great Engineers to be able to build any wonder in 1 turn? I build Big Ben but the city has still 3 turns to work on it after using a Great Engineer.

That has been changed a while ago (and I think for the better). You get much more great people now than before and they would be overpowered if they could finish any wonder in a single turn.
 
I'm getting a crash every time i build my second city in a new game. I start at the prehistoric age and when i get tribalism and then the settler, it will crash as soon as i click "create new City"

This is on latest SVN as of last hour. Would this crash be logged anywhere by default?
 
SO posted on the SVN that he broke it, are you using that build? Or a previous one?

Also, a while ago there was a SVN ctd that needed something deleted for it to go away. If I haven't changed anything in my SVN folder in over a year (by that, I mean I've only hit the update svn button, nothing else), do I need to do something? I am still getting random CTDs in SVN only. I can't find the post that says if I have the file still that causes the issue.
I last updated Monday. I haven't update to the newest yet because of SO's post.

That has been changed a while ago (and I think for the better). You get much more great people now than before and they would be overpowered if they could finish any wonder in a single turn.

Yes the whole point of the Great Engineer is that they should be able to build a wonder in one turn. When we redid the building costs we forgot to change the GE's hurry points to match. Their points don't carry over with multiple production and they can't contribute to projects at all.

It's a bug in my opinion.

Using the SVN update keeps things exactly up to date. It does delete, update and add files and folders.
 
screenie pls, thx. there is supposed to be a TON of it, because back then nobody knew about anything and how to fix it.

Well, i can' add screens right now as i am several thousand km away frol my computer, but cities in thé 4000 disease realm with all the health building in thé transhuman era are suite common.

Your research rate is 1 beaker per turn. You can't expect to get anywhere fast like that. You must have no commerce tiles, no research buildings and no myths. That's the research rate you have when you're in Anarchy lol...

If that is due to "circumstances beyond your control", I suppose it's a bug...

I first noticed the following situation in v32. Currently playing v33 where it came up again: I have built the Capitol Administration bldg and Metropolitan Administration bldg
where appropriate. At approx the midway point in the game, those bldgs are removed
from the built bldg list in the cities where they were built. The Village Hall bldg now
appears as a bldg to build. After building it, it does not show as being built in the city
and continues to be shown as a bldg that can be built.
Also noticed that after this happens, the victory screen shows that cities which had less than 100 turns to have "legendary" status now show 100 turns.
I have cultural victory enabled.
Additionally, from v32 on, wonders which should trigger an election do not(UN,Congress of Vienna, etc.)

Any ideas would be appreciated and thx to those who continue to improve this mod.
 
There is a logical error in the tech chain of Transhuman Age that means a lot of buildings can never be constructed:

Nanobots need Nanofactory needs Gamma Assembler needs Uterine Replicator needs Nanobots.

I would suggest that Uterine Replicators should not need Nanobots (or any other break in the chain).

Edit: Just found a 2nd one:

Nanobots need Nanofactory needs Gamma Assembler needs Uterine Replicator needs Anthropomorphic Lab needs Nanoactuators needs Nanoactuator Factory needs ... Nanobots

Added later: Found even more: The Cybernetic Chloroplast Factory and the Neuron Regenerator Lab also need Nanobots. And it is probably not surprising that both in the end are needed to produce Nanobots. I´d say that you definitely have overdone it with the dependencies in TH era :crazyeye: ...

What is the difference in these 2 buildings, one just has A while all the others have Achievement??

If your going to make new buildings like that, then you need to change ALL of the other Heroes also, thats around 200ish more(with MY permission of course), so its better to leave it as it was, i believe, again depending on what this Safety A building is for??

Same goes for Medical A, and Tourism A:confused::crazyeye:

There should be no pink buttons, that art is already loaded in 6600. The Log says they are uploaded.

Everything is loaded for me. The XMLs are the latest version I uploaded to SVN. you probably got a corrupted download.

In your new Techtree modification you have one tag like this <PrereqTech>TECH_TECH_RESURRECTION</PrereqTech>

One is a National Wonder is the other is the free building that national wonder gives to every city.
 
I usually have "Effect" as the suffix (or prefix) for those buildings given free by a wonder national or other. I think it is just a bit better at indicating what it is. Realism Invictus and previous versions use it.
