Friends, comrades, brothers! We thank you for your support in obtaining our independence from the treacherous Qing Autocracy in Beijing. We hope that our cooperation will not end with the inevitable outcome of our War of Independence, and will continue past this conflict.

We understand and admire your loyal support for your allies the Qing government in its "endeavor", no matter how treacherous or bloody it is. However, you have said yourself that the Qing Autocracy is unable to properly govern its provinces. Thus, you yourself must see that the Qing Dynasty is a fallen Dynasty, a failed state, in essence. There is no use in supporting an Empire that has fallen beneath the earth itself. You also have said that you will "take steps to ensure a future of stability in the former Chinese Empire". The lands of China will never see stability under the Qing. Note that we are not asking yourselves for your powerful support. Rather, we are humbly asking for your acknowledgement of our independence. Thank you for considering this request. We do not wish to unify the rest of China. As far as we are concerned, the Empire of Great Japan can undertake whatever measures it sees fit east of Sìchuān, so long as we have our independence guaranteed by your great empire.

Your assault on the Republican Province of Guǎngdōng has not gone unnoticed by us. Note that if you take any more aggressive measures against any single Chinese man, apart from any sent by Beijing of course, we will join our brothers in Yúnnán in war against you.

We completely understand your support for the Qing Autocracy. However, it must be known that it is no longer possible for the Qing Dynasty to rule over all China. The Tibetans, the Mongolians, the Yúnnánese, the Turkic Peoples, the Republicans, the Xīnjiāngese, and yes, the Sìchuānese, none of these groups will ever accept the Qing as their overlords. We hope that in only a couple of years, you will be able to reconsider this statement.

OOC: This will not go well for me. :)

EDIT: TLK, as he is currently unnamed, I would like my warlord to be called Zhu Zhonggong.

This is wholly disheartening. The Madrid-Rome agreements make Spain's position as an ally to Italy and an interested party in the Mediterranean sphere very clear. Furthermore, we had already offered our assistance to the Kingdom of Italy in quelling the Greek insurrection and have thought that this made clear our intentions to Greece and Europe. Naturally we are disappointed that Germany has chosen to withdraw from the Madrid-Berlin Pact, but we do not understand why it has chosen to do so given that Spain has acted entirely in the best interests of the Mediterranean community and with all prior warning as has been considered appropriate in incidents of similar character. Italy requested our assistance despite its pretensions otherwise publicly. We believe that if any onus rests anywhere it is on Rome, for apparently not being truthful to the international community. We have only acted in accordance with our diplomatic commitments.

We have to refuse, sir. Our goal is to unify China into one democratic government and end the war. At the same time, we shall respect the independence of the Tibetan, Mongolian and Turkic nations, as well as your independence.

After the attempt to move a large army through our territory without our consent, we hereby recognize your republic as the rightful leaders of the new Greece, and that the Monarchy should be disassembled.

I should have a carrier in my stats as I purchased one :)

Or if that fails, 80 EP banked.

Can you post the newly created UUs on the front page with the others? It would help create some sort of baseline and idea of the units out there for any who also wish to create UUs.

Regarding the invasion of Greece, we did indeed ask our Spanish allies to participate in the invasion. Greece was a threat to peace in the Eastern Mediterranean, along with the Balkans, Greece was also a threat to the security of our protectorate Albania. Although it was not known at the time, Greece was also a threat to your ally Austria-Hungary by their attempted invasion of them.
All this points to why we asked for Spain's involvement, and we ask you to reconsider your condemnation against them.

The rebels have chosen their fate. We wish for you to confirm your complete neutrality for the duration of this conflict and in fact expect no less. What say you, Spanish Empire and House of Saud?

OOC: I just noticed I believe I have the highest GDP per capita (or at least the highest EP/MP which I'm using as the equivalent), which amuses me greatly.

Yes please.

When I update, I write the update, do the stats, then update the front page. I have just finished all the stats, including the warlord stats, and now I will do the front page. I have never chosen to not update the front page, including the UUs, I always get around to it, usually the day after I update. When I do finish updating the front page, I generally let everyone know. So I will get on that now. :p

Assuming your only using a ratio of the two to compare, you actually have several higher than yours. Such as Denmark, Montenegro, Luxembourg, Ruthenia, and I'm not sure if New Zealand is or not. Sorry to burst your bubble, unless I am in fact not comparing them the same as you are.

OOC: The Soviet Republic had no economic growth even though we continued the reconstruction/collectivization project. Is this due to the reconstruction being complete or simply due to the Kulaks resistance?

Still working on the front, but the UUs should be done. I'll get to diplomacy and OOC when I'm done on the front entirely.

There has been a minor miscalculation. Belgium's economic stats should read

(40)172/45

rather than

(40)162/45

as last turn Belgium was at 157, and has gained 15 this turn from the Congo and the rail sector.

OOC: My apologies. This piece of diplomacy got mixed up in my head with all the Greek-related stuff, so I was under the impression that Italy had declined Spain's offer for help.

I thank you for your support, we will not need military aid at this time.

Also, Gem Hound, please stop calling yourself the "Balkan Republic".

It seems there has been a mix up in our diplomatic records. However, considering Germany and Italy were involved in negotiations over Greece, we find it slightly disheartening that Italy would plan to involve another major power such as Spain without giving us prior warning. That being said, we hope to see the situation in Greece quickly sorted out, so that all communistic influences may be quashed post haste.

Right you are about Denmark, Montenegro, and Ruthenia, I must of only been looking at player nations. I didn't notice Denmark had some outrageous numbers.

Despite the outbreak of civil war, Germany continues to support the Qing Empire as the only rightful ruler of China and we withhold recognition from any breakaway territory. We hope to work with the Chinese Empire to consolidate their rule over the region and ensure peace and stability.

You may want to reconsider.

You really haven't been paying attention. Japan does not support the Qing Empire. Regarding your request for recognition, we'll consider it.
