Small Observations General Thread (things not worth separate threads)

I guess I didn't realize previously that unless a city center is founded directly on the coast or a navigable river, then it is unable to construct water units as you can no longer create a "harbor district" offset from the city center like you could in VI.
Ok, I just learned you gain access to a shipyard building, which acts like a harbor district, somewhere near the middle of the Exploration Age tech tree.

I'm going to miss loyalty pressure. I don't like lone settlements in the midst of my cities or in my sphere of interest in general.... I predict that I'll be a much more bloodthirsty in civ 7.

In Quarbit's video, there are a great number of cities revolting / trying to revolt, which I believe is a result in a drop of happiness. Not loyalty, and there is a ton of forward-settling, but I was happy to learn that cities can switch sides.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I wonder if settlements far from the capital / border settlements are more vulnerable to flip. If they are, it's predictable and I can wait and see... :shifty:
