Well, Colombia has the best army in the Americas and has nearly finished off the Incans, so they'd have a stable resource base to counter with. A strong economy as well!

Well, because my nation is fundamentallly North American Nationalists, so there's no reason for me to attack Columbia. The Yucatan, on the other hand, is sitting right where we want to expand. There's no reason for us to go South of Panama when all we wish to rule is North America...

Alternatively, if they wish to take our side and hand all territories they take to us, we will pay them 10 gold immediately, plus 20 gold upon the conclusion of the war.
