I have university stuff to do and I'm leaving for Germany the day after tomorrow, so this press release will have to do in place of a story:
Question: When did my economy move to Recession?
Anyway, here are preliminary orders:

Research Ship Weapons 4 (4 EP)
Build Space Station on Sabro (1 EP)
Develop Broder (3 EP)
Develop Enemsi (4 EP)
Develop Nox (4 EP)
Since they're preliminary, they may get changed if I have more time to evaluate the situation later.
DICTATOR TO RETIRE
Jared Jenkis, Supreme Dictator of the Astral Sojourners, has announced that he
will retire after the catastrophic disaster at the Sierra System. Jenkis intends to
seek a command position in the next fleet to move on Sierra, saying "Where the
people I was supposed to protect went, I will go too. Otherwise I am no leader."
Jenkis won a plurality of 30% of the vote eight months ago. It is unlikely that the
secondary candidate from last year, Alfred Nestor, will be campaigning this year,
so the position appears to be wide open. The Election will be held in three weeks.

OK, I found a little time, since I'm sitting at the uni and waiting for help.
Nice to hear that my economy didn't suddenly get damaged. Let's see if I can raise it the same way as last time by massive spending on infrastructure...

Construct a Space Station on Sabro (1 EP. Unfortunately I can't terraform it quite yet - Energy 3 next turn though.)
Build up Broder, Enemsi, Nox and Oncol (3+4+4+5=16 EP)
Load Insterstellar Bus full of 10k colonists (20k if I get Con 4) and move them to Broder, which is currently the least populated system I have.

TITLE: The Dimensional Drive Project.
we report that the first seuccesfull test of the diminsonal Drive has taken place.
as you know, we have long theorized that a third type of Interseller drive was possible. the So called Diminsional Drive.
Unlike the long jump and short jumps, the Diminsioan drive dose not distort space into another shape, but rather connects two points of space-time, seducing the dictance between them to Zero.
While we have managed to create such effect on a small scale in the lab, Untill recently we have not been able to creat such an effect outside the lab, but we have figured out how to creat a large scale portal. the trick was to use 2 drives atuned to each other, not one. unfortuanly, the portals seem to suffer and become unstable in the pressences of Long jump and short jump drive, even if they are in their inactive states. some sort of disharmounce between the portal and spacial distortions needed to power the Jump drives.
We also regret to note, that the single pilot of the second test ship was rendeded dead by the trasit. while the pilot of the first test ship suffred no ill effect, furtuer test via unmanded cargo continers contianing various live organice has revealed a startiling fact. aproximantly 9/10's of all living things sent through the portal are killed outright, though the remianing 1/10th suffer no ill effect.

This dose not however limit the posibilities of the diminsonal gate it'sself. a series of these gates placed in all our outliying colonies could provide a way to quickly distribute raw mitirials to centers of manafacturing and then redistribute these compleated goods back out to the colonies. considering the portals are several times the size of our largest freighters, we could even send entier ships hulls through, though the Long jump and Shortjump drives would have to be compleated and instaled in the system befor they could be used.. we highly recomend the emperors look into this possibility.

The commlink closed…finally. Claude Kenni slumped back in the captain’s chair and sighed deeply. Normally, he was much more composed and professional than that and tried to make an example for his crew.
Dealing with the Trinetev did that to a person.
“Tomorrow, we leave this system and head out exploring again,” he said, mostly to himself. Not much longer until he’d never have to deal with those…weirdos ever again. Of course, he’d never call them that to his face and remained entirely diplomatic in communications, but oh how he’d love to call them that. The ZIB people were fine, though why they were parked in orbit around the Trinetev was beyond him.
Tomorrow…
Tomorrow, he’d no longer have to deal with the Trinetev. Just the Invisible’s commander and the Scourge. Somehow, though, he preferred the Scourge.
Story Part 2:
Emilia Larsson let out a yelp as the landing unit touched down right outside the Crisium colony. IhateflyingIhateflyingIhateflying kept playing in her head. Why oh why did she ever volunteer for this? She would’ve been safer in Totalus…
“Passengers of Colonial Lander 23, this is your captain speaking. We have landed without incident at New Lutanis. We will begin disembarking the craft within the minute.”
Ohmygoshit’sfinallyover!
Emilia leapt to her feet, hit her head on the compartment above her, fell back into the seat. Thankfully it was padded, to protect against just such an incident [the Lander was Corporate, and they preferred to NOT be sued for stupid accidents]. Groaning, she got up, slower this time, and kept her back bent to avoid any further collisions. The man next to her was staring, probably wondering about her intelligence.
I’m such a clutz…
As the Lander’s passengers disembarked, Emilia nearly tripped over her feet walking down the exit ramp. As she went to retrieve what luggage she was allowed to take with her, she crashed into a potted plant. And when she went to the automatic doors to leave, she walked right into a full-length window.
Nope…nothing’s different here…
She whined pitifully as she tried to find the shelter she’d been provided by the UCCT.

OK, I am furious - I had a whole story written up and then suddenly it tells me I'm logged out of my screenname. This has happened the second time already, just because I didn't "do anything" while writing the post. Whatever. I don't have the sanity to work with this computer anymore! Give me penalty for it, whatever. I just can't rewrite the story after 2 times that it was erased.
It was about the Gentroop vote in my Senate (whch it approved 95% to 5%), too, and also the upcoming (next year) election to Queen, in which the character I had a few pages back, Shalia Crost, will participated.
But whatever. I'm not redoing it.

1) Jump Cassini Fleet onward to the Xanj System. (Argus -> Xanj)
2) Send the colonists currently in the Alphalian Fleet to add to the colonists currently living in Crisium. [Crisium +2.5K Population]
3) Fill the remaining five Transports in the TDF Fleet with colonists, detach them from the TDF, ship them to Crisium, and send the colonists down to the surface. Afterwards, those transports should attach to the Alphalian Fleet. [Crisium +2.5K Population]
4) Put the 100 Fighters and 4 Carriers that are just lurking around Totalus into the Totalus Defense Fleet.
5) Create an open trade lane with the Trinetev Composition. [-3 EP]
6) Build a Spacestation in the Crisium System, to help streamline the efficiency in orbit-to-ground and ground-to-orbit launches. [-3 EP]
Put the remaining EP into Construction tech. [-1 EP]
7) Begin the Special Project The Interstellar Multimedia and Communications Network / The System-Net / The Systems Wide Web
[Yes, those are all names for the thing -- they're all interchangable]
This network will function similarly to the planetary network called the “Internet”, but will use relay stations all across various systems to enhance the range. The network will also be directly connected to the Jump system, the data and communications within the network being transported faster than light through them. This thus allows relatively instant communications between systems, greater than the older communication systems. This will thus make it easier to keep a feeling of unity within the entire territory of the UCCT and enhance trade between systems [like E-Trade]. Has the potential to grow far beyond being controlled by a single Faction.

Once again, my college is throwing lots of work my way. I'm going to officially extend the deadline to 8 AM EST Wednesday, 23rd Feb.
