Steve McNair found dead

Yea, he deserved to die because he stopped loving his wife. He committed no crime. His 4 sons are still fatherless. This isn't exactly some karmic universe thing.
He wouldn't be six feet under if he could keep it in his pants... s'all I'm sayin'.

That is some terrible logic. We all make mistakes and rarely are those mistakes worth death.

ama is sooooo edgy and apathetic and unforgiving and coldly cyncial

Okay then. I guess our soldiers will get a small mention in our pages, but lets devote an entire page to a man who gets a huge amount of money for playing american football. Sounds fair.
YEP! HE INSPIRED AND ADMIRED BY MILLIONS, THE SOLDIER BY FAR FEWER. SO YEAH, IT'S TOTALLY FAIR. :smug:

I think the real conclusion from this news is he should have picked his friends more carefully.

Anyways, all you cold, cynical, realists, anti-celebrity, where's mah slide-rule, American football isn't a real sport, living-in-the-internet-trenches types would probably enjoy nerdy math like his stats so:

Sad sad sad. Much respect to McNair on and off the field

I still remember the almost-ALMOST touchdown in the Superbowl at the last second. Still disappointed Air-McNair didn't beat the stupid cry-baby Rams.

I want to feel sorry for this guy, but its hard since he cheated on his wife.- and the reason is "gf" shot him is because she was suspecious that he cheated on her with ANOTHER girlfriend. Never mind even his wife!

Thats what happens to people who cheat on several people at once. Its like the movie John Tucker must die, only one of the women was his WIFE so its even worse!!!

No, getting shot by a jealous woman is not a usual consequence of cheating. Let's be serious please.

I didn't say it was a usual or fair consequence. All I'm saying is if he was loyal to his wife this wouldn't have happened.

My first GF could have done some crazy thing like that!

Oh and on the cool, edgy, cynical tangent - I'm  & somewhat edgy (definition 2, not so much 1, hopefully someday 3). As for cynical, my life is too difficult for me to be particular cynical, cynical is for coddled children trying to get attention & sympathy, I can't be cynical because no one would care. I suppose that sounds cynical itself :D but it's true. I gotta keep positive because they ain't no one gonna save me but me. :)

Anywayz, on topic, it sux for this guys kids, I'd probably be sad when my man Ozzie Smith or Mark McGwire (who's given back more to his community than other other star I know of) dies. :( On the plus side @ least he died together with the woman he loved.

You're right, but he didn't and it is besides the point to say it would not have happened. We really don't know what would have happened.
Well I don't think this woman would've murdered him & then herself had she not known who he was.

Not that that makes his responsible for this crazy lady shooting him (at least not directly) but still it's the way it is, gotta be careful who you let into your life.

Touche sir, touche.

His girlfriend shot him. Therefore, if he didn't have her as a girlfriend, if there was no affair, she wouldn't have shot him. Its a logical presumption to make. And if something happened to him without him having an affair, i'd have felt MUCH more sorry for him.
